Bueno, es la primer vez que compro el The Barn, y estoy muy sorprendido. Soy un principiante en el café de especialidad y a diferencias de otros tostadores este fué mucho más amigable con mis errores que otros. La calidad de sus granos y su tueste son indiscutibles!

Retoure der Ware unmöglich wie bei einem Fake Shop
ACHTUNG! Meine Rezension bezieht sich auf Online Shop und nicht auf den stationären Laden. Retoure der Ware läuft so, als ob es sich um einen Fake Shop handelte. Gar kein Kontakt mit dem Händler möglich, es ist ein Fall für Verbraucher Beratung. Ich werde in ein paar Tagen den Händler bei PayPal melden und das Geld zurückfordern. Es handelt sich um ein falsch bestelltes, ungebrauchtes Stück Equipment und nicht um Kaffeebohnen. Die sind übrigens ganz OK, aber für 50% weniger Geld bekommt man bei anderen kleinen Indie Röster genauso gute Bohnen, wenn nicht sogar bessere.

The Barn hat mir einen schön gestalteten, höchstens lauwarmen Cappuccino serviert, der fast nur nach Milch geschmeckt hat. Eher meiden dieses Kaffee in Berlin Nähe Hackescher Makt. Zumindest wer einen gescheiten Kaffee möchte.

This little gem has become my absolute go-to coffee spot in the city. Be sure to ask the baristas for their bean recommendations if you want to take away some for home brewing.

Really good selection of coffee both for having there and take away
Good roaster but bad service which is a shame
I had a monthly curator subscription for almost 2 years and in the beginning I was very pleased with the 2 bags of coffee they sent every month but in 2025 things start to change and I got the same coffee over and over. Quality was not always great and to make it worse sometimes I got nothing and it was delayed for a couple of weeks. They do send a lot of e-mail with promotions but good luck getting an answer if you have a remark.
Weder per Telefon noch per Email erreichbar
Dieser Onlineshopping ist eine Zumutung. Das Telefon ist seit einer Woche ausgeschaltet. Auf Emails wird ebenso seit einer Woche nicht geantwortet. Ich habe keine Information darüber, ob nun eine Lieferung versendet ist oder wann dies erfolgt.

The best coffee in Berlin, I have tried so many in so many places. Coffee from The Barn is always delicious. Now I have the monthly subscription.
Disappointed loyal customer
I have been a customer for a number of years and their beans are super high quality. Saying that, there seems to be a deterioration in customer service. On the odd occasion in the past when a delivery was late and I enquired there would be a speedy friendly answer with a good explanation. Usually I would receive orders within 4 days. On my last order placed on 8 Jan I received a UPS link with a delivery date of 15 Jan. Nothing changed and after the 15th of Jan and I enquired. I repeatedly got the same email saying there is a “fulfilment issue” and a link to the same UPS link. I pushed to know what that actually meant and eventually got told the package is still with The Barn. Then nothing. I received 2 promo emails one amusingly saying I must be low on caffeine. I replied saying yes because I haven’t recieved my order. I then got a reply on that from someone who really doesn’t seem to like their customers. I was told the issue is with UPS who probably didn’t scan the package and so I should wait. I said this information is conflicting and I was asked when they ever said they hadn’t sent the package. I sent them the comms to which they just said oh yes that was a chat bot over the weekend (it was a Thursday). Not at any point was there a sorry, other than from the chat bot. They then said they were happy resolve the issue by having me place another order and when/if the original order was resolved they would do a refund. So I was asked to spend more money and wait and see if things were at some point resolved. I declined and asked if anyone on their side had simply called UPS to see what the problem was. Magically an hour later my order was on its way and I have received it. Again, the coffee is exceptional, I will order it again but please do some simple customer service like calling UPS when there is an issue. And more importantly treat your customers with some respect.
