The Portable Monitor Anmeldelser 

I ordered a Mono 15.6" on January 22, 2024, and as of March 5, I have not received anything. When I contact them through chat assistance, they simply assure me that my item will arrive soon. When I ask them to return my money, they likewise decline, leaving me unsure of what to do. I still have hope that I will be able to get my Mono, so please, if you are reading this, do not purchase from them at all.
They are now not responding to any of the messages I submitted; there is no Helpdesk support available, and sending an email would just result in the same response. I can't trust them, they don't want to build a business at all. It's March 30, 2024, and I haven't received or updated my order in 65 days.

It has been 100 days since I made my request through this website. They blocked my email and changed the website address to (best-portable-monitor) since they are such thieves, cowards, and scammers who took my money by making it seem like the product doesn't exist, which is what is currently occurring.
I filed a claim with my bank and asked for my money back.

Everyone who lost their money should report their case!!! I can't paste links, but just Google the "report fraud" by Federal Trade Commission and e.g. Red Points's article on Fake Online Shopping Sites.

The website looks like an obvious scam--no company-specific details, no real articles referenced, no real pictures, half of reviews are reporting a scam. They probably just cover things up by showing logos of famous news outlets on their website and the number of followers on social media (which could have been bought or otherwise acquired without legit business operations). No proof of legitimate business. Really bad experience; a waste of money for many out there and a waste of time for me.

This remains a scam! Every time the same excuses and I'm still waiting and this since 2019!!
Everytime another person answering you. Big promotional video's when having their first units available (is it even true?) and adds on Pinterest etc.

It's a scam. They won't give you the product and won't return de money

I received my 14" Flex 1 month late (carrier rush during Black Friday and Christmas), but in the end I have no regrets, as the product is really high quality in terms of materials and screen resolution.

However, after testing several screen extensions from other brands (which I sent back), this is the one that best meets my expectations for several reasons:
- work from home and be more productive,
- to give a more professional image when I'm out and about with customers
- very good for a 17" computer (even if it encroaches by 1 cm on each side). What I like is that the computer is independent of the system: it's not held in a vice, and there's no risk of damaging the screen.
- space-saving when you have a shallow desk.
- quick software installation.

Negative point: stability due to its heavy weight. It tends to tip forward. To prevent it from moving, you need to set the tripod to its maximum open position. It's a shame you can't physically tilt the screen up and down.

A few months of use later, I'm satisfied with the product, it does the job. I don't know how I'll manage to work on a single screen again.

I paid for the item and have been waiting for 7 years. They have continued to lie and commit fraud for seven years without being punished. Hundreds of people who have been scammed by them have gathered on Facebook to share information and share their pain.

I ordered in December 2021. Never got anything but lies. Every second month, I'd ask them about my delivery, and they'd say "you'll get it in 2 months" with another lie.
Truth is, they probably don't have a product.
Why they haven't been closed, though, is a mystery.

It's been 9 years now... still no product and all they do is promise to deliver.

The product started as a Kickstarter project, where people could pledge (invest) money in the project and then you were promised a product when it was in production. The company assured us, that they would deliver in December 2015 and they already had a prototype which looked promising.

Then all the excuses started - they had issues with the hinches on the screens, they had issues with production, then Corona came around and so the production was also postponed, because everything was produced in China (which was funny, because they initially talked about production in Belgium where the company is placed).
And all the while you can see the "inventors" of this product living their best lives on Instagram and whatnot, travelling to tech fairs presenting their scam to the world, trying to scam even more people - it's hilarious we live in a world where people like these can wander around freely stealing money from people.

Long story short: it's 2024, not a lot of people have seen a product. I've talked to their support a few times now and last time I was told that 90% of their stock would go to fulfil old orders, but 10% would go to fill new orders. So basically you might be lucky to get a product, if you order now, but apparently if you're an original backer/investor or have ordered a long time ago, you might never see your product, since they spend your money producing products for new customers.

What a scam.

I've reported them to the EU Consumer Rights now - we'll see what they have to see about the whole thing.

In case you wonder if you should buy the product, the definite answer is: NO, stay away!

This business is a scam. They have deceived many people out of their money by misleading, staling, lying and not delivering.

Please do not believe the green 5 star reviews…..really do your research on this company that have changed their name 5 plus times. SCAM SCAM SCAMS SCAMMERS SCAMMING. I gave them the order number more than 3 times and they keep giving excuses. I’ve asked for my money back and they want you filling out a form to obtain more personal information from you….why, when you have my credit card that paid for it in the first place. Now they trying to get all the. Negative reviews removed from trusted pilot.

Jamais reçu, demande de remboursement faite plusieurs fois , à chaque fois c'est soit disant en cours. Fuyez c'est une arnaque

Accompte payé en 2016.... Jamais eu de news, rien reçu. Changement de nom de société, impossible de se connecter sur le nouveau site. Belle grosse arnaque de crowdfunding de nos amis belges. Alors pour preuve de ce que je dis :

Jamais livré, jamais remboursé. Du Kickstarter jusqu'à l'entreprise, du pur vol.

I'd give negative stars if I could.

I ordered this product three years ago, and still have not received it or received a refund. Many other people have had the same experience. We keep being told that "it's coming, we promise!" but it never does.

Also, the company keeps changing its name. When I ordered, it was Portabl. They have used at least three names that I'm aware of.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY.

Au moins 6 ans d'attente entre le moment où j'ai donné au financement participatif et celui où j'ai demandé puis enfin reçu le remboursement (d'une partie seulement) des frais engagés.
Ils en étaient deja a leur troisième appel aux dons/précommandes et n'avaient alors toujours rien de concret a proposer.
Après de multiples rebranding et une armée de clients floués, abusés, le slide/slidenjoy/portabl/flex est une des pires expérience en ligne que j'ai pu connaître.
Zero pointé pour cette bande d'incapables à l'honnêteté très douteuse.

Pré-commandé en juillet 2015 (vous avez bien lu) pour soutenir leur campagne kickstarter car je connais(sais) personnellement Thomas, un des 3 fondateurs.

Slidenjoy devenu Portbl et maintenant The Portable Monitor, n'a toujours pas honoré sa commande.

Certes ils ont complètement été dépassé par leur projet (1.626 personnes ont donné au total 600.000€) mais ça ne pardonne pas ce manque de communication auprès des premiers qui ont cru en eux et ce silence radio pendant que ça continue à fanfaronner sur la toile !

Je n'espère plus récupérer mon dû mais je tenais aussi a apporter mon témoignage aux très nombreux que vous pourrez trouver sur la toile avant de songer a acheter.
