I had a very good experience with Survey Hut, they were helpful and explained their findings well in their report and also were available to discuss the report in a phone call with me.

The person in charge of our case (James) was communicative throughout the process. He responded to our queries in record time, explained the differences between the levels of survey, conducted the survey very professionally, bringing up areas we hadn't even spotted ourselves, and had a follow-up phone call to explain parts of the survey we were confused about. I would recommend Survey Hut, especially to first time buyers as they do an excellent job of explaining the whole procedure throughout.

At first, the 72 page Report on our Level 2 Survey was rather intimidating, but on closer inspection, it became clear that 90% of the issues were fairly minor, and some of them were already on my radar to sort out.

My main concern was that the house was structurally sound (it is!) and "move into-able" so that we can deal with the relatively minor issues whilst living there.

Im pleased to say that THIS survey was £100 cheaper than the one i initially booked with a firm connected to my Solicitor, and the people I paid were the people doing the survey, unlike the initial one where there were THREE companies involved, and i received THIRTEEN emails, mostly asking me the same questions and requiring me to agree to this or that.
I even found out the Surveyors name on my first phone call.
After the Survey, Rob arranged to call us and go through the report, was very reassuring on areas where the inexperienced buyer (thats me!) could be worried, and took time to discuss and explain anything we wanted.
Good value for money, good service and easy to arrange.

Carl was great, he called me after survey explaining all the concerns. Then also called after the report was done as I had few questions. He made the whole process so easy for me as FTB. Totally recommend them!

The use of the drone was helpful in spotting issues with the pointing on the chimney and ridge tiles.
And with all that, the price for my level 3 was still lower than any others I was quoted.

We were kept notified of progress at every stage.
The report arrived after 3 days (day 1 is the day after the survey not the day of the survey) and was very comprehensive, consisting of detailed comments in laymans terms, with supporting pictures and advice.
At first sight the report was a shock and the property looked like a catalogue of problems but when reading the detail it becomes clear that the survey is just very comprehensive with 'no stone unturned' so you have a very clear view of what you are buying.
To ease your concern, very early within the report is a section "Overall Opinion of the Property" with the supporting detail later in the report, which is followed by a phone call from Mark to explain points within the report, areas to be aware of, and answers to your own areas of concern.
In general an excellent service,excellent report and highly recommended.

Carl was very kind and gentle. In a phone call after the survey, he was very helpful in helping me fully understand the meaning and implications of the issues highlighted in the survey report. I was also able to be in the house when he did the survey, so as to raise key concerns in person on the day.

We were kept updated throughout and provided with a very thorough report, with a helpful follow up call to clarify the issues that had been raised.

The reports are alarming at first sight, but it's important to remember that a surveyor's job is to look for faults and possible faults. The report and phone call helped us work out what needed doing now and what will need doing over the next couple of years.

Carl carried out an inspection and prepared a survey report for our purchase, and even used a drone and thermal camera for a more thorough inspection. I received the report the following day! It was extremely detailed and we had a call a few days later to go through my queries. Carl was super helpful and answered my questions even if they were silly ones! Recently had a Level 3 survey by one of the team at Survey Hut. I found the turnaround time to be very good - from first contact to report - within two weeks. The report was easy to read, digest and understand. As part of the service I was able to arrange a phone call with the Surveyor himself to run through a couple of points to ensure I had understood correctly. Very helpful and very pleased with the service. Would recommend.
