I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for Sarb from the woolwich branch. She is honestly one of the friendliest, most professional faces and embodies the fantastic level of service from all staff at this particular branch and BMW, and she went over and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service that is quite rare these days. Thank you very much.

I took 640bmw for its Annual service…

I took 640bmw for its Annual service again to Enfield Stephen James and once again when I brought my vehicle home realised there was oil leaking onto my driveway. I took the vehicle to be informed that it was the oil filter housing that required to be changed. I asked how this could be the case as it had not been like that when I had first brought the vehicle to them and they explained this was due to wear and tear after they had changed the oil filter.
Seems strange that there was no issue beforehand. It seems that each time I go I get a new quote for something additional.
Lost my trust in this company this is why I give such a low rating.

Paul Dawes is just brilliant

Paul Dawes ( woolwich branch) is just brilliant, very helpful and amazing customer service. 100/100. He carried out a remote check for my car as i have got little issue with service history data and followed this issue until it get resolved.

I didn't want to go here due to past experience of being spoken down to - clearly nothing has changed such a shame they think they are above everyone else and treat you like an imbecile.. go anywhere else - and the snaky trick of scanning your key WITHOUT PERMISSION to check stuff is totally invasive wow... I have never recommended them and never will

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. Never keep you updated and every time you cal,l the person who is dealing with you goes missing. Do not waste your time with these people I will never deal with them again.

They couldn't care less once they have…

They couldn't care less once they have your money. Tried calling their Woolwich branch today and they cut me off 3 times !

Impossible to talk to them, unless you want to part with more money on a new car !

Lacking in Customer Service!!!

First visit to the Bromley Branch today, for a pit stop service.
Booked online and requested a staff member to contact me with regards to my booking and no one did!
Used they customer app chat and no response!
Customer service not friendly or welcoming on arrival, just ignored, even when a staff member asked one of the service team to assist me, they ignored him!
Gave feedback to the Team Service Manager , who didn’t seem bothered at all!
Work was completed quickly, which is the only good comment I can leave.
Not sure I will return in the future as service with a smile doesn’t hurt!
Not what you would expect from a brand like BMW!

Parts Department

I just want to leave a review for the Parts Dept at Stephen James Bromley. I've used the Parts Dept quite a few times and wether its over the phone or face to face I have always received EXCELLENT help, advice and service. Always a pleasure 10/10. Thank you guys.

Air bag Recall

They changed my airbag after a recall and since then I've been getting warning error light every now and then my helpful local garage clears the code but it keeps coming back and advice me to take it to the dealer that fitted it. Darren at BMW service team wants to charge £149 just to investigate then additional cost for works £££ to fix it. How fair is this they fitted a faulty airbag putting me in DANGER thanks to God i have not had an accident yet because i don't know if the airbag would be able to deploy & protect me? and when I raise the problem they shift responsibility to the customer requesting me to pay for their own mistakes. All they think is taking money ££££ rather that fixing their own mistakes I hope they will be able to respond and redeem themselves by changing the way they deal with Safety of on Airbags which is paramount in protecting us incase of an accident otherwise their recalls cannot be trusted.

Bromley Branch Bonkers

Bromley Branch Bonkers!

Booked the car in for a recall check on the EGR cooler. They called back in a couple of hours saying check was done.

Car came back, but discovered a new fault - turbo was not kicking in! Called them, they said to bring it in, but would charge £200 for diagnostics! I explained, the problem happened AFTER they had the car, all they could say was that they can't verify, but after checking diagnostics, if it's a fault that they caused they would refund me the cost and repair the problem.

I couldn't accept the risk and especially after the attitude given by the manager Rhys, I felt compelled to contact BMW Customer Services.

They went back and forth and to be honest, I came away feeling utterly let down by both SJB and BMW.

BMW REALLY NEED TO UP THEIR GAME AND KEEP TABS ON THESE DODGY COWBOY DEALERS!!!

SJB obviously doesn't care about their customers, going by the high number of negative reviews. Otherwise, they would at least respond to the complaints and try and resolve them.

I wish I had checked the reviews on here before I took the car to them, would have saved me a whole lot of bother.

Seriously people, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO SJB if you want it returned in the same working condition!

Professional Bodyshop Team

Professional Bodyshop Team. Have used BMW Ruxley on three separate occasions over the past 12 months, twice to rectify work carried out by my insurer's repair garage and more recently to repair paint damage caused by a faulty filling station air hose.

On each occasion, it has been a pleasure to deal with Paul Lawday and My-Le Tien, who have provided an excellent customer experience combining a deep product knowledge and courteous service.

As a BMW owner, it is nice to know that there is somewhere that you can go to get this level of customer care. Thank you!

Great Experience - Stephen James Woolwich

Had reversing PDC sensors retrofitted to my Mini One. Dealt with Jack Groves at Woolwich who was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Great job by the technical team also. I'm delighted with the result. Overall, a great experience with Stephen James BMW.

Switching all further business to BMW Chigwell

I recently booked a Hybrid Oil service 1, break fluid and a map update.
I went to collect and found out that the spark plugs which is a part of the Hybrid Oil Service 1 had not been done. I asked why, Lauren told me it is not included. She would not listen and tried to prove me wrong. Found out she was wrong, so instead of apologizing for the simple error and rectifying it. She blamed me for not specifying it. She was rude, was too concerned with getting her point across, rather then listening to my one. I then listed what I booked online. To then find out that the Map update had not been done. She told me that this would cost. I explained it is not the case online and it says included. Showed my booking reference but she was adamant I was wrong. She also wasnt interested in offering any solutions.
She rushed the spark plugs to be changed, then she tried to get my car washed, as it wasn't done in the first place however I was running late to a meeting. Got my car keys back and opened the boot to put some stuff in to find out the old spark plugs and the packaging was left on the boot closure. I have a BMW I8, this could have damaged the glass boot however I do not think BMW Stephan James would have cared. Very rude staff. They do not listen to a single thing and they are always right. I will be using BMW Chigwell from now on. Although I live 4 mins drive away from Stephan James Enfield.

Awful service - Stephen James Bromley

If I could leave a zero review I would…

Having bought many quality cars from dealers including previous BMW, Mercedes,Porsche… I feel I know a little bit about using car dealers to acquire a car.

I was looking to buy a X2 and having gone into the dealership and discussing my needs they set up a test drive of a specific car which we were most likely going to buy.

Only to be told don’t bother turning up for a pre arranged meeting and then having the audacity to say all X2s were sold.

Now I understand if the car was sold but why could they not source a similar car and keep the prearranged meeting?

Arrogance, shoddy customer service and so won’t be buying a BMW from this badly managed dealership.

Having had a look at the local reviews from a post on the nextdoor app, 75 messages about how bad this branch is . Avoid. My own experience although not as bad as some, has put me off getting my soon to be done service and repairs, from here!!

I decided to go green and change my…

I decided to go green and change my mini countryman for an electric version. Sam Squire in Mini Sales went out of his way to arrange for a test drive of the electric mini and the hybrid countryman on the same day that I took my car for servicing. Charlie Power in service was pivotal in supporting this.
There was good communication between the service department and the sales department.
David Able joined Sam in tailoring a finance deal to my needs.
Sam has kept in touch since I signed on the dotted line keeping me up to date on the progress to0 the delivery of my new e-mini.
I am not the one to write reviews but I had an overall outstanding service and I felt compelled to do so.
I hope that I can keep enjoying such attention in future encounters with team.

Absolutely disgraceful experience

Stephen James bmw Enfield- Absolutely disgraceful experience!
I went to ask about a bmw mini as I was interested in purchasing this vehicle and the sales person that bothered to turn up provided the worst sales experience I’ve ever encountered. He was arrogant, rude, provided zero customer service, wouldn’t provide any information to the questions I was asking (was like pulling teeth), showed that he was put out by my presence. I will never ever step foot in this place again and will buy a new mini elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to this centre for…

I have been going to this centre for quite a few years. Whether it was for my wife's mini or now my bmw. Whenever I have gone the customer service has been incredibly poor. There is a vibe like they look down at you. It's always very uncomfortable. I always see people complaining but I'm quite a patient person and have always just let things like the way I'm spoken to slide. But on this occasion I couldn't. I had called them prior to tell them that there was something wrong with my car. They told me it would need to stay a couple of days. I told them I would need a replacement car but they said their usual pre-rehearsed line of "we don't have any available". So i asked will I be dropped home after? They said we can look into it. When I got there unsurprisingly there was no cancellations on replacement car but "we can call you a cab". So i thought that meant they were paying for it. It looked like a luxury Uber that pulled up and as I got in it I thought hang on let me check with the driver that it's been paid for. The driver said no it hadn't and that I would have to pay. I got very upset and got out straight away. When I complained about this to staff at sjebmw they were really horrible and made me feel like I was crazy to think that should be dropped off and like derr it's covid we can't drop you ourselves. The manager came out and in a very condescending way just told me them same as what his staff did. He/they were making out like I was dying for their courtesy car or something when my car is much better than any of the minis they would have provided. I work for a charity and we've been hit the hardest financially by the covid lockdowns but we would still not send a client home in a cab and not pay for it. Also if they had said all of this to begin with instead of 'we'll look into it' I would have made arrangements for some other way to get home. I live quite far from there. I ended up walking for about a mile trying to calm myself down and figure out how to get home. To make it worse my battery died. I was so lucky to have my card on me. A passer by told me the best way to get home. It seems to be about the staff making themselves feel special at this centre and they speak to you as if you are beneath them. I see them sometimes laughing and giggling amongst each other at some poor customer they've upset after they've left. It makes me sick every time I go there. I NEVER look forward to it. I have to be fair though and mention the ladies at the front desk when you walk in. They are always so lovely and you can see from their faces that they are embarrassed themselves. Mathew as well was really kind and helpful. I was supposed to give him a 10 star review but don't know how to. I need to call him.

Unacceptable

Booked a service for 05/04/21 8:00 at Stephen James Enfield, arrived and waited till 8:15 and the service department was shut. Called the service department and showroom multiple times. Being a Key worker this was one of my first day off work, which ended up being wasted. Woke up at 7 and arranged to be picked up by a friend from the service centre. What a waste of time.
