It was a great experience however there…
It was a great experience however there wasn’t many designs of card to choose from. It would also be good to be able to purchase individual cake slices rather than in twos.
This being said as a first time purchase I rang my family to see if it arrived and what their opinion of it was, which was all positive.
It would however be nice to sample the cake before choosing.

Hi there,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback!
We're really pleased to hear that your first experience with Sponge was a great one, and that your family gave such positive feedback when the cake arrived. It's wonderful to know that the surprise was well received!
We really appreciate your suggestions too. We understand that having a wider selection of card designs and the option to purchase individual cake slices would give customers even more flexibility. We'll certainly pass your feedback on to the relevant team for consideration.
Thank you again for choosing Sponge for your first order. We hope this will be the first of many!

Beautiful Carrot Cake!!
Beautiful Carrot Cake!!! I ordered this cake for my son to celebrate his promotion. I was very impressed with the packing and quality of the cake. One of the best carrot cakes I've ever had ,better than my home made one which I usually do make it myself but as traveling in hot weather I thought best to get one delivered and no regrets. I will definitely use this company again and everyone that had a piece of this medium cake (10) very good portions working out around £2 for a slice was so worth the money and the taste was spot on.
You must try!!! Love it and will order again soon.

This was a well recieved surprise.
This was a surprise for my new son-in-law's birthday.. I had no idea you could actually order cake on line. I found it when I was looking for ideas for him. He was really delighted. He did share the cake with my daughter...his wife, and they said it was delicious. I had picked one slice chocolate and the other red velvet as these were two of the flavours they had in their wedding cake, the year before. I was kept informed about the delivery and it actually arrived 2 days early. Beautiful card, and well packed. Would certainly recommend. Good price too.

Amazing!
As a home baker ( not UK ) whenever I go to England I always order cakes online as taste testers. Last year I ordered from a very well known bakery and the cakes were awful ( even my sister couldn't define the 'flavours').
This year I ordered from Sponge - OMG! What a difference! We ordered the red velvet and the GF lemon slice. Absolutely AMAZING! The packaging was excellent and therefore avoided any damage to the cake slices. The individual packaging was good and kept the slices fresh. The red velvet was just divine - the texture, the flavour, the icing... Everything was just fabulous. We are keeping the lemon slice for tomorrow, but have no doubt it will also be fabulous. Thank you sooo much. I most definitely recommend this company and will be ordering again when I want cake but want time off baking! Thank you 😁🍰

Thank you so much for this absolutely wonderful feedback!
As a home baker yourself, your comments mean even more to us. We're thrilled that your experience with Sponge was such a huge improvement and that our Red Velvet and Gluten Free Lemon slices impressed you so much!
It's fantastic to hear that you loved the texture, flavour and icing of the Red Velvet, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that the Lemon slice was just as fabulous when you enjoyed it the following day.
We're also delighted that the packaging kept everything protected and that the individual wrapping helped the slices stay fresh.
Thank you for your incredibly kind recommendation and for choosing Sponge as your excuse to take a well-deserved break from baking! We can't wait to welcome you back and bake for you again.
