I received the shower buddy folding…
I received the shower buddy folding chair 5/10/23, it's been used 2 times a since receiving it. Today's date is 8/28/23, so far 3 out of the 4 wheels won't turn properly. I don't have $300.00 just to blow on unsafe junk.

This is the top of the line sliding transfer bench
We were looking for a well made sliding shower transfer bench and about gave up until we found the ShowerGlyde. All of the others were made of thin aluminum tubing like a walker is made of and only offered a one-year warranty. ShowerGlyde's tracks are extruded aluminum and the seat travels on ball bearing rollers. We have a wide shower and customer support quickly answered all of our questions regarding sizing and heights. When we opened the box, everything was well packed and the assembly instructions were the most readable ever supplied with a product. Assembly took less than an hour from opening the box to completion using just an allen wrench for a tool. We paid a little more for this than the low quality alternatives, but it was well worth it.

Great product, but needs some improvements
The glide system is superior! The concept is superior! Very sturdy. However the seat is not as comfortable as past commode over the toilet so my family is having to swap out the two for shower days. I also miss the safety of having an arm handle on the inside edge.

The chair fit is not quite right for a tall person
The back support is too tight- it feels like I am falling forward. Maybe if there was a way to adjust it. Being able to lean back slightly would be more comfortable. The tolieting hole is a little too large, it feels like I am going to fall through- maybe the seat front to back is not quite deep enough.

SG3 Shower Bench
I started by doing research, I quickly found that there were only a couple of items on the market that fit my needs, after talking with customer service and explaining exactly what I needed and what I was looking for they offered me three different models of which I chose the SG three for my needs, I also must mention that they the phone promptly and answered all of my questions in detail, I purchased my chair and it arrived within 2 to 3 days promptly, I started using my chair on July 26, 2023 and as of July 3, 2023 would be the seven day mark, I must say that the chair performed exactly as advertised, I needed a chair that could rotate that would enable me to sit down easily and also to slide into my shower to perform personal hygiene, my overall comment about this chair is that it is excellent! The height of the chair can be adjusted for most bathtubs and shower steps, the legs are very sturdy the chair does not wobble even if you must adjust yourself while being seated which makes me feel very confident that I'm not going to fall, just note my last shower chair I adjusted my weight to sit back in the chair and the leg gave out fortunately my CNA was there to catch me, the chair glides very easily it makes it much easier task for the CNA to maneuver me in and out of the shower, I wasn't concerned about the color but I do like the silver platform with the black chair. The chair is very sturdy and is wide enough to make you feel comfortable while in the chair including the seatbelt, the cutout is perfect for cleaning underneath, my thoughts about the chair itself while showering, it can feel hard to the back of the legs or bottom, I suggest adjusting the height for the legs until the comfort level is set, I notice that when my legs dangle I am uncomfortable, but when my legs rest on the floor I am comfortable. My apologies about not knowing the weight but my CNA who is 5 foot 100 pounds said the chair was somewhat heavy because of the "good construction" but still light enough for an elderly person to maneuver.
My Pros for this chair would be: the rotation of the chair along with the gliding mechanism, and the cutout of the seat along with the sound construction of the chair.
It was also very easy to put together, my son put it together and approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
My cons for this chair would be: the price which by the way I think is well worth it, because of the warranty and construction, also the chair could use a shower holder.
Also possibly a way to have the CNA release the chair from either side, I'm not sure if this something that could be retrofitted or added to the new chairs that are constructed, sometimes it is a little difficult for the CNA to reach into the shower and released chair from the side that it is locked into. I also noticed that the placement of the release buttons seem to be right underneath the legs so that you have to lift them to release the chair for glide or quotation.
Overall the chair is very nice, I also was fortunate enough to attend the abilities Expo, and I ran into the individual that invented the chair, I express my thoughts and ideas and he was very forthcoming, I was also glad to hear that one of the recommendations that had was a shower holder, he has already made plans to add one to the product. I have gone through two shower chairs, both were because of the construction of the legs that either gave way or bent while being seated and bathing, again this makes it well worth the price because the warranty is guaranteed for life, the inventor did not offer me any money for this review or give me any free products for my review, his only concern was that he was not getting enough detailed feedback from customers about details of the chair, I'm doing this because I want to help other people like myself in need that need detailed answers about a product that will help them in their daily lives and possibility to have them perform personal hygiene on their own

Very pleased with the shower wheel chair. I have not used it in the shower yet, will do when in a cameo in maine in august but I love how it fits through the bathroom door so can get my 93 yr old mother out safely. Shes gets very shaky leaving the bathroom,

Fast delivery, well engineered product. Mostly plastic so I don't know how long it will last. Very difficult to set brakes on wheels.
