Its a 250 dollar knife (at the time of purchase). Why dose the customer have to call and email. Isn't that the CS job to communicate with the customer???

Customer service promised a full refund kept me on the phone for 30 minutes and then said we cant do it.
SOG lost its soul when purchased by a huge company
SOG was purchased by huge company and has lost its soul. They make returns difficult by approving the return, then not following through with sending the Return Authorization. 6 days later, I call. Give all the same info again. Takes 30 minutes. The rep tells me I'll receive an email by the end of the day from...wait, what did you say, please. They label is sent via an email address: GTCS98 at gsmorg dot com.
I request she go ahead and follow through with sending the email now.
I believe the friction is in place to discourage returns. Last order I made was an issue with engraving. Took 2-1/2 months to receive the order. After a long hold, the rep followed through. So good on her. Unfortunately, I no longer trust her employer.
SOG are world class.

GSM OUTDOORS WONT HONOR LIFETIME WARRANTIES!!!
I purchased 8 count twitch ll s to give as gifts and straight out of the box - brand new and unused - three of them do not assist open properly regardless of lubrication, pivot pin tension etc. after multiple emails to SOGs new owner GSM outdoors i eventually received a reply. GSMs game is require you to jump through their hoops until you give up on your SOGs lifetime warranty. How many pics and proof of purchases should a company require!!?? You purchased the SOG company GSM OUTDOORS but obviously don't plan to honor the warranties. No more SOG and DEFINITELY no GSM OUTDOORS products for me. Believe the NEGATIVE REVIEWS regarding GSM OUTDOORS folks!!!!
Don't honor their warranty
My jungle canopy Bowie knife broke in half within 10 minutes of use. I contacted sog and they will not honor the warranty. They offered me 20 percent of another one. Why would I buy another one after just getting ripped off on this one.
Excellent service and M113 flashlight
Purchased an M113 flashlight that turned out to be excellent quality and built like a brick out house. Very bright, with 7 light modes that includes a strobe . Excellent battery life and it also comes with a carry pouch and lanyard.
I also spoke to customer service about an issue sourcing batteries and they replied extremely quickly and made every effort to sort the issue out for me. product and service were excellent so five stars from me . Thankyou

Tried calling the service number from overseas, waited on hold for 4 hours with no responce.
Sog fling
The fling is so finicky and hard to throw and they don't stick very well at all if you use military half throw.for 60 dollars and they are that hard to use it feels like robbery. I use a lot of different knives and these are by far the worst I have. Is there anyway I could return them?

Worst customer service since new ownership. No replies to emails/calls about a defective knife with a "lifetime warranty" Used to be a good company with a good product. Not any more.
SOG Knives is gone
SOG Knives is gone! The quality knife company that did exist, is no more! They were bought out by GSM Outdoors in 2021 and have continually gone downhill since then. Most all of the knives are now Chinese made. Customer support is off shore; and horrid. Each time I speak to one of the phone reps, they are likely in India. I get the exact same script read reply, "thank you for your patience on this, but ...." After 4 attempts at locating where my knife is, (sent in for the free sharpening service under warranty), all I know is my knife is "in the warehouse" awaiting service. I am 6 weeks out from delivery to them by UPS. And all they can report is my knife is in the warehouse awaiting service.
So if you are considering buying a SOG knife DON"T.
There are plenty of choices available to you for a good quality knife. SOG is no longer one of them. It would seem, as in many business deals resulting in buy-outs of the origin company, the quality of the original product is the first to go. Quality product takes a back seat to marketing and cost cutting.

Very disappointed in SOG
Very disappointed in SOG. I have a pocket knife with a clip. The knife is great but the clip broke. I have tried for months to get a hold of customer service but have not been able to reach anyone in months. My son called for me and got through and said the CS rep said he wasn’t sure if the knife was eligible for a free replacement clip ($5 shipping, lifetime warranty on the website). Rep said he would check and get back to him and hung up never taking his name or number. Bought a Civivi today. Gave up on SOG. They must be having some real issues there.

They don't deserve a star but I didn't have an option. I called sog to order pocket clip and other missing screws and was told they didn't sell replacement screws. The pocket clip and screws are pritory for my knife.

I have tried 5 times to get an updated status on my order. 4 of those times I sent message and never got a response. Called the 5th time to and was on hold listening to a recording for an hour. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. Will never order from this company again.

My Flash II SOG will not close - Never buy SOG.
My Flash II SOG will not close. It's a throw out! I contacted the company and they will not fix or replace. It is barely used and not abused - none of their "warrantee rejection reasons" below relate to my care of the knife. I will never again by a SOG knife and recommend that you don't either. Here's the Company Response for my request for help:
Thank you for submitting your online warranty request. We regret to inform you that your request has been denied. Our Sog warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, resharpening, damage caused by misuse, lack of normal maintenance, or disassembly. We do not have replacement parts to send out or for purchase.

They do not offer a repair or parts service whatsoever. I have a SOG Tac model that I bought online and have had for a few years and the internal spring broke. The blade and handle still in near perfect condition I figured I would simply order a spring for it. Wrong. According to SOG I just have myself a nice $150 wall ornament now. They told me they do not offer parts or repair service. After many complaints through email the best they could do was offer me a measly 30% off my next purchase. No thanks. I will not give this company another cent. Benchmade would have sent new springs no questions asked. Lord knows there's a million of them sitting on the manufacturing line. This company is not the same since it was bought out by another outfit.
