Terrible experience with this vendor. They did not have the item in stock and attempted to cover this up by creating a shipping label without actually shipping the item. They alternated between ignoring my inquires and copy-pasting boilerplate messaging that blamed the carrier. My requests for a refund were ignored. When the item finally arrived, it had been shipped completely bare in the box and was missing many accessories. Strongly recommend avoiding MaxTool and their other storefront, Factory Authorized Outlet.
Order marked delivered but never received, delivery photo did not match, support stopped responding
Posting this review to document a genuine order issue and how it was handled. My brother placed and paid for the order, and I have been helping him manage the follow up and documentation.

Delivery address: Lawrence, Indiana (ZIP 46235)
What happened:
UPS tracking updated to “Delivered, Front Door” on December 22, 2025 (2:53 PM) and showed Indianapolis, Indiana. The package was not received at the delivery address in Lawrence. The proof of delivery photo shown by UPS does not match the residence it was supposed to be delivered to. We checked the property and immediate area and the package was not present.
What we did:
We contacted MaxTool the same day the delivery scan posted to report non delivery and to explain that the proof of delivery photo did not match the residence. We requested a basic resolution: either a replacement shipment with signature required or a full refund.
Response from MaxTool:
We received one response and then communication stopped. Multiple follow ups from both my brother and me went unanswered. As of today, there has been no refund, no replacement shipment, and no documentation provided that shows delivery to the actual address.
Why this matters:
I am not reviewing the product itself, because it was never received. I am reviewing the fulfillment and customer service process when a package is marked delivered but the recipient does not receive it and the delivery photo does not match.
What MaxTool could do to fix this:
Provide a refund promptly when the customer provides a credible non receipt claim and the delivery photo does not match the address.
If you believe the package was delivered correctly, provide clear documentation that supports that conclusion (not just a generic “delivered” status).
Respond to customers consistently instead of going silent after one message.
Offer a reshipment option with signature required for higher value orders.
I hope this helps other customers make an informed decision and encourages MaxTool to handle non delivery cases in a more responsive and transparent way.

I ordered a 3400 PSI pressure washer pump from MaxTool (Order #MXT1146472), but they sent me a completely different model rated at 3600–3700 PSI, which is incompatible with my equipment.
I immediately contacted their support, provided photos comparing the delivered item with what I ordered, but they claimed I received the correct product — despite clear differences in both PSI rating and appearance.
To make things worse, they refused to cover the return shipping, even though the mistake was on their end. I was left with an unusable product and wasted time. I had to escalate the issue to my credit card company and open a dispute.
Very disappointed with their customer service and unwillingness to take responsibility.
I strongly recommend others to be cautious when ordering from MaxTool.

I purchased 2 of Maxtool 18v "special offer" deals. A jig saw and orbital sander and each came with free 18v battery as part of their "special offer". I was going to purchase a couple of more "special offer"s but when I clicked on the item there was NOTHING SPECIAL. Same price as other online retailers and no free battery. I emailed them and got reply this is a website problem and they removed the "special offer" status from the tools I am interested in. He gave me a code "to save a few bucks". I just noticed there are other false claims for "special offer" on many more tools even after I informed them. Free bare tool: grease gun. If they didn't include the free bare tool grease gun you would receive nothing for $249

Quality products at excellent prices
This was the first time I ordered from Maxtool. I bought 3 different sizes of Dewalt mobile storage units.
Shopping the website was easy, along with the order process. The shipping of the items came in a very timely manner. I felt the price I paid was for the Dewalt storage units was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Maxtool to other people.

Excellent customer service
I bought a replacement blade for my lawnmower.... It got lost by the carrier on attempt 1. Maxtool reshipped and it was lost by the carrier on attempt 2. They sent it again, this time via UPS and it made it to my door safely! The customer service folks were kind, easy to work with, quick to respond and did their best to make it work. Thanks!

Never processed the refund
Bought an air compressor via their website. It arrived damaged from shipping (not the seller's fault). Customer support by email from Briana was easy and simple. She sent a return label and a new unit was on the way after they received the return. All good. Replacement unit arrives also damaged from shipping so we agree to a return and full refund. Until was returned yet no refund. Briana insists the refund was processed 1 week ago but nothing shows on my credit card. I've had other refunds from other purchases (not maxtool) done since and they showed up right away on my credit card statement so that tells me maxtool did not issue a refund.
Too bad because it seemed to be a nice simple buying experience, apparently not. I'm still waiting for my refund.

Maxtool stole $3000.00 from us. Worst company ever. Support is horrible and they are all liars. Purchased items from them. They sent incomplete orders that they could not take care of. Filed for a return of incomplete products through their process. (nightmare).

Beware, Bait and Switch Scheme.
Beware!! MaxTool tried a 'bait and switch' scheme on us. They advertised a 'reconditioned' Honda lawnmower that was only "used around the showroom but never on grass" at a discounted price that seemed almost too good to be true. They sent out a used, far lesser machine that looks very similar and is difficult to discern from the unit purchased. But they are not stupid, they did not defend the discrepancy when I called to notify them. But they did not have a replacement to send (surprise-surprise). They did a lot of fast talking and made strenuous efforts to reassure me that it wasn't a bait-and-switch scheme; as con artists would.

Website is terrible and finicky, will send an error code but still draw funds from your account. Customer service was not forward with me and did not address my problem. I had to call several times and fight with two different agents before my issues were addressed. Poorly run and very shady.

First WORST tool buying experience I have ever had. I would advise to read the return and cancellation terms. I absolutely feel SCAMMED since I did not read it fully. Would have like to return 3 items I purchased that are still un-used and un-opened, but that comes with a 20% restocking fee so about $60 dollars for me plus on top of that you will have to pay return shipping so if you have a big product, good luck. Then I read their exchange policy and was gonna go that route but what I wanted was cheaper at Home Depot and they could not even price match even though every term on their website for price matching was met. Personally I feel like this company just wants your money and don't give one f about you after, they will help you and think you are getting a great deal but you are only making it worse for yourself. Trust me when I say this, SHOP LOCALLY AT YOUR HARDWARE STORE! No return shipping fee you will have to pay, 9/10 they most likely wont charge you a restocking fee, you can also just exchange your item if its faulty and in stock. Sometimes people want something else and paying return shipping isnt too bad but to get charged a 20% fee on top of that when the product is not open or used. I would never recommend this website to ANYONE. Good luck and be safe everybody.

Was told I don’t get sales tax refunded on a canceled $169 order. Had to go through pay pal to get the refund.
Worst customer service ever!
Due to a recent storm I lost my generator and needed another one ASAP. I called Max tool on a Wednesday and was informed that they had one in their Tennessee office which could be here by or before Monday. So by Friday when the tracking information still showed the generator was not shipped, I started to try calling Max Tool and it was impossible to get anyone to pick up. I knew this was not going to go well because additionally, it showed that it was coming out of their California office instead of the Tennessee office which was in direct contrast to what my sales person had said. I left several messages for my sales person, Jessie Hurt, who refused to answer or return my calls and messages. So I tried to get someone in customer service and that, also, was impossible.
At one point, my phone rang one time and I could see it was Max tool calling me back but they disconnected after one ring and then would not answer my calls. At this point, FedEx tracking is showing that the delivery is scheduled for five days after it was promised. My sales person was so untruthful about delivery times and then, on top of that, would not
communicate with me at all.
I will never do business with this company again based on the worst customer experience I’ve I have her had. There are so many other places to spend your money where they actually care about the customer.
