Original booking felt like a placeholder to drag me into paying more
Very poor experience with Sky Wizard. After booking flights, I spotted a date mistake the next morning and messaged them immediately via WhatsApp, while no tickets or booking reference had been issued.
Instead of helping, this appeared to give them time to return with a prepared response. When they called, Ricky (I’m assuming this is his call centre name) told me nothing could be changed and steered me into a second booking, while making it seem like they were doing me a *favour*. I was also told the original booking didn’t include luggage, despite this being clearly shown as included on their website.
During the call, I noticed that their own system had inflated prices by around 30% for the same route and airline I had originally booked, making alternatives look worse. Ricky then suggested a different airline. Although this new booking was actually cheaper for them, I was still charged an additional £894, meaning the agent benefited by around £1,000 overall.
I only agreed because my original payment was still pending and my bank said it was a dispute between me and the merchant, leaving me worried about losing the original amount. As both payments have now cleared, I’ve raised a chargeback with the bank.
Overall, the experience felt high-pressure, profit-driven, and like a fraud. Proceed with caution.
For clarity, I did not request a full itinerary change. I contacted SkyWizard the morning after booking solely to correct an incorrect date selection while the booking was still pending and before any ticket or booking reference had been issued.
Any discussion of alternative dates or airlines occurred only after I was told the original booking could not be amended. Any suggestion that I requested a voluntary or full itinerary change is inaccurate and does not reflect the reason I initially contacted SkyWizard.

As per our record You contacted us to advise that you had mistakenly selected incorrect travel dates at the time of booking. You were informed that the ticket was already in the process of being issued and would be completed shortly. At your request, we checked alternative travel dates as you were unable to travel on the originally selected dates.
We provided you with revised travel options, including the applicable fare difference, and clearly explained that any change would incur additional charges in accordance with the airline’s fare rules. You requested time to consult with your family. After approximately two hours, you confirmed your acceptance of the revised itinerary, supplied the required passenger details, completed the balance payment, and authorized us to proceed with ticket issuance.
There was no discussion or agreement regarding baggage at any stage of this booking.
The ticket was issued and delivered to you. You were subsequently contacted and asked to review all booking details, which you confirmed were correct. Your contact details were updated within the supplier’s system, and you were granted access to the online booking portal.
Two days later, you advised that your leave had not been approved by your employer. We again reviewed the available options and advised that any further changes would be subject to additional charges, strictly in line with airline fare rules and our Terms and Conditions.
The decision not to approve leave is a personal circumstance and does not constitute a failure on our part to provide the agreed service. As the ticket was issued in full accordance with your explicit authorization and acceptance, any attempt to initiate a chargeback on this basis is without valid grounds
We maintain full records of all communications, including WhatsApp messages, payment confirmations, and booking authorizations. These records clearly demonstrate informed consent and acceptance of the revised fare and will be relied upon in the event of any dispute.

As per our records, your ticket was a highly discounted, non-refundable fare. This was clearly mentioned in the terms and conditions at the time of booking. In the case of a no-show, there is no refund
You have already used the outbound flight, and for the return flight there are no refundable taxes. Airport taxes on such tickets are usually very low, approximately £10–£20. To process any refund, our admin fee is £50.00.
We have responded to each of your emails and have clearly explained the airport tax details. We also informed you that if we receive any refund from the airline, we will update you immediately. If you have received any confirmation directly from the airline, kindly share it with us, as we have not received any such update from them.

The 3.8 rating is not representative - trustpilot need to weed out fake reviews. Some of the 24% 1 star reviews need to be up the top. Suffice to say these are scammers and will take your credit card payment then contact you with a reason why the flights not available at that price. Despite promising me a refund initially this is now something i have to wait for apparently. I will be pursuing all legal channels.
UPDATE - thank you for agreeing to refund. Its a shame I had to push so hard for this, you were telling me i had to wait to see if the flight was actually bookable. I am afraid I don't believe you on the rest of it and my comment stands.

We completely understand your frustration. However, please note that the ticket you originally booked was confirmed and sent for issuance. Unfortunately, due to the passport name issue, name changes are not permitted. The ticket you booked was non-changeable and non-refundable.
We did our best to assist you and informed you immediately after discovering the issue. As per your request, we proceeded with the refund process. Since the payment was still pending through the payment gateway, the amount has been reversed from there. You should have received your refund by now — sometimes it reflects immediately, while other times it may take a bit longer.
Please understand that airfares are dynamic and can change at any time, so no price can be guaranteed until the ticket is issued. After your request, we coordinated with the supplier and successfully managed to reverse the transaction for you.

So i went on this website and booked a flight with Cathay Pacific . When it came to paying the payment screen froze . I didnt receive an email confirmation straight away. So i went back onto the website couldn't find the same flight so booked another flight with Qatar Airways . This time the payment went straight through so hapoy days . No i received an email confirmation for both flights at the sametime to me email address. So i phoned up Skywizard immediately to inforn them . That i had ended up with two bookings . They said there was nothing they could do . As all staff had gone home . Nothing would have bern confirmed with the airlines at this time .
They said to call back the next morning . Upon doung so i was told i would receive a call back . When i received the call back , i was told it was completely my fault . I would be charged £250 to cancel a £479 flight that is 6 weeks away . Im now awaiting a manager call back will update when i receive it .
As far as i can see this company already has lots of reviews calling them scammers . Now i see why , as this was a mistake which arose from their payment screen freezing . Anyone should have seen the double booking and checked with me.
They havn't done anything to help me out after speaking with a manager .

To have one cancelked as it was due to their online payment screen freezing that i made a 2nd reservation . At this time they had not purchased the E-tickets . Could have given me a full refund for 1 ticket . Instead they waited till the 12/10/2025 . Still.purched the E-tickets i have the photos to prove this . Regarding your concern about the payment page freezing, once you are redirected to your bank’s website to enter your payment details, that process is entirely controlled by your bank. If the page got stuck or there was an issue, we recommend contacting your bank directly. If they have recorded any transaction or sent you an alert, please check with them. If not, we sincerely apologize for any confusion, but such issues are beyond our control.
At the time of booking, you agreed to our company’s terms and conditions, and we are simply following the same. The ticket has been issued and sent successfully, and everything has been completed as per the booking process.
You are welcome to leave a review, and we fully respect your right to do so. We are not asking you to remove it. However, please note that we have all the necessary documentation and will provide it to the bank if required.
We have genuinely tried to help you by cancelling one of your tickets and allowing you to keep the other, even though the fare type you booked was non-refundable, meaning there is normally no refund permitted after issuance. Despite this, we still offered you an adjustment as a goodwill gesture.
We truly value all our customers and always aim to assist within the rules. However, threatening us with negative reviews in order to obtain a refund is unfair and unacceptable.
