They use to be great but now its a scam!! After years of using the service they just changed the subscription from unlimited "invites" to 100 a YEAR for the same price!! Now I just got charged an extra $56 in the first month on top of my $96 a year without ever telling me they changed the plans.

Also on the website pricing page you wont see any of this which makes it even more of a scam!

For comparison Typeform (offers 100mo for $28mo) or JotForm (offers 100mo free) and they are very upfront on how pricing works on the website.

This it not quite new, to be honest. And it has never been hidden or anything.
If you are currently using 100+ signatures each month, you clearly need a different plan. Please email support@signnow.com to discuss the options, as we have several. We'll do our best to adjust the subscription to your current needs!
On a side note though: both Typeform and Jotform have slightly different feature lists and are not quite direct competition for us, strictly speaking. But we appreciate you mention them as alternatives our customers in Indonesia you are looking at, we will do our research as well.

Derick and Luna, were not helpful in canceling my subscription and I had to go use other ways to get it canceled. Poor customer service.

Knowingly aiding scammers. Refused to do anything about it.

I received a phishing email from SignNow's domain. The sender falsely claimed affiliation with a conference I'm attending and asked for my credit card information.

I contacted SignNow's customer support, and let them know a scammer was using their service. They explicitly refused to take responsibility or do anything about this.

If you are an end user, then I recommend you mark all email from this company as spam. And if you are a potential customer, know that I will be going to unusual lengths to make sure that no email from this company gets within a mile of my employer's servers.

Edit: In their reply, SignNow claims they blocked the user. My initial report to SignNow concerned an email that another conference attendee received. However, *after* my report I received a nearly identical such email myself -- and I only posted my review here after getting that email. If they took action as they claimed, then that action was entirely ineffective.

If you can forward the suspicious email with signNow branding to us (support@signnow.com), that would be optimal, actually. Then we could easily track whether it's the same sender with earlier case or not.

P.S.: did you contact the conference representatives about this situation? what is their response? Additional information will help us track this down on our end as well.

If someone says they need you banking user account and Password. Prepared to get robbed.

On the documents, they asked me to sign for a $4000.00 Loan. On the last page, they somehow acquired my user name for my bank, and they requested my password. As desperate as things get, NEVER supply anyone your user name and password to your bank account, NEVER!! If you do contact your bank ASAP, by giving them access to your account They will have access to rob you blind.

Zero response from sales team

We considered SignNow as an alternative to Docusign. The product looked fine based on the free demo but we couldn’t get a response from their sales team. We chased multiple times for basic information and got nothing back. We eventually gave up and stayed with Docusign. Disappointing - if you can’t get a reply from sales, what’s support going to be like once you’re a customer.

Appalled

Appalled. Just signed up to a $30/plan for our small business as was attracted to the unlimited users which will be helpful as we grow as we are only a team of 2 at present. The $15/month price advertised was dishonest as this doesn't exist - only works out at this price if you pay for a full year upfront which I'm glad I didn't do as after payment and after an hour of tailoring settings, hidden at the bottom is a tiny usage cap of 100 documents which was not displayed anywhere and then a $1.80 charge per document. So the attraction of the unlimited users is completely fake as the cap means this is irrelevant in reality. It's outrageous to charge a subscription and per document. We will very likely be cancelling within 30 days and looking for an honest company. What a total waste of time.

Unlimited users and limit on signatures' numbers do not necessarily go hand in hand, of course.
Unlimited users (with any number of signatures, actually) is more beneficial for larger organizations, of course. For a team of two it won't make much difference, we totally get that.
Our pricing is still quite competitive (we've checked, but you are welcome to do your own research, obviously). If you already know/can forecast, at least approximately, the expected volume of signatures you'd need within your team--please email us, support@signnow.com. We'll do our best to find a plan that would match your needs, we have quite a few.

I subscribed to SMisleading billing and automatic charges make this unsuitable for business useignNow for my small…

I subscribed to SignNow for my small business, believing I was purchasing an annual plan that would cover our ongoing signing needs. What I discovered was that the subscription includes no meaningful number of included invites, and charges are automatically applied without clear notice when you exceed an internal usage threshold.

In my case, a €192+ charge was applied automatically with no explicit approval at the time of billing, no prior warning, and no prompt to confirm the charge. The platform’s only explanation was that this is “outlined in the Terms of Use,” which I was supposedly bound to. When I asked for a refund due to lack of consent for this charge, they refused and said the only way to avoid further charges was to cancel the subscription entirely, effectively forcing me to stop using the service.

This billing model is not transparent or fair for business use, especially for recurring HR and document workflows. Automatic charges without clear, active authorization are unacceptable, and this experience has led me to abandon their platform. I cannot recommend SignNow for business customers who need predictable, controllable billing.

Sorry, we can't really agree that this is "no meaningful number" as, according to our statistics, most of small businesses do not really go beyond that.

I was charged for overlapping…

I was charged for overlapping subscription periods for the same SignNow service, resulting in duplicate paid time with no added value. I contacted support multiple times requesting help or a simple service-time credit, but SignNow repeatedly passed responsibility to Apple and declined to assist. I ultimately had to resolve the issue through my bank. The product works, but the billing support experience was disappointing.

Unfortunately, this is how refunds work for all apps available in Apple store, that's their general rule: they charge for a paid plan, thus, there are responsible for a refund. We can do refunds strictly for payments that took place on our site.

Beware using SignNow Plan Usage Screen For Counting Extra Invites

I was with SignNow for about 6–7 years, back when they were a smaller company trying to compete in the market. As the company grew, so did the pricing—and unfortunately, the attitude around it. Prices increased dramatically (easily 10x) with little to no meaningful notice.

The first frustration was the move to charging per 100 additional invites. Essentially: “We now charge for every extra 100 invites—pay up.” Not ideal, but manageable if usage tracking were accurate.

That leads to the biggest issue I just experienced:
The plan usage screen is inaccurate.

SignNow bills you for an additional 100 invites once you cross that threshold. My account clearly showed 83 extra invites used, yet I was billed for 100 invites at $360 USD. As a Canadian customer, that’s nearly $500 CAD.

I contacted support (agent name: Ping). Ping claimed that their “back-end” numbers showed I exceeded 100 invites, despite acknowledging that the usage display on my plan was incorrect. I repeatedly explained that I relied on that screen specifically to avoid crossing the threshold, as I could not afford the extra charge. Instead of addressing the discrepancy, I was repeatedly sent their refund policy.

I did receive a refund—but it was $137 USD short (roughly $200 CAD). I accepted it just to be done with the situation, but the experience was frustrating from start to finish.

At the end of the day, this works out to about $3.60 per document, which in my opinion is unreasonable. If you choose SignNow, be aware that the plan usage screen is unreliable, and you’ll likely need to export reports regularly and track usage manually just to avoid surprise charges.

Would I work with them again? No.
There are other signing platforms—such as Zoho Sign—that offer the same functionality, a solid API, and cost a fraction of the price.

Need lots of documents? Then not for you.

Make sure you look WAY WAY WAY down the features page, below the features, below the testimonials, all the way to the "FAQ" and WAY WAY WAY down all the way to the last FAQ to see that airSlate SignNow limits the number of documents for signature you can send to a low monthly number. That's the first thing people would want to know, and it seems like they're intentionally hiding it. Don't be fooled!

NO GOOD and deceptive

Very sad that the company changed their pricing structure without any notification. Very shady and I would avoid doing any kind of business with this company. We've moved on and are 1000% happier because of it. Lost $100 on extra hidden fees. ***ALL good feedback was in 2024. THE COMPANY is a scam front and get ready to be ripped off with hidden fees. Most if not all the review that are new says the same thing. We got ripped off by this scam of a company!! SAY NO!**

There's no conspiracy or anything suspicious in here.

In reply to SignNow response you sold it to me as unlimited invites when in actual fact anyone can send unlimited invites but that’s is where you scam people it’s when they sign is when they charge nowhere does it say that and why would I send documents to sign to people and not expect them to sign so that’s why it’s a scam, you stores my credit card details and debited money from that card without permission infant it’s illegal and my bank agrees that’s why they have clawed back the money SignNow stole from me.

Hidden costs

The service works, but be careful. We were just charged $198 on a $30/month subscription because we exceeded a 100-contract limit, which was hidden in the FAQ and not mentioned anywhere in the subscription plan description.

No longer a good value, more than doubling in cost for me

I really loved SignNow before they changed their pricing model, when it was unlimited documents. I didn't notice the update, essentially charging $1.80 for every siganture3 I gather (180 a year for 100 signatures). I didn't receive a new charge until I had sent an additional 100 invites. They charged me an additional $180, which was a surprise for me. It is no longer a cost effective option, and the bill that surprised me (although they sent email updates, I did not read so the charge right around Christmas that I cannot afford stings terribly) leads me to conclude this is the worst experience I have ever had as a customer.

What a nightmare and Joke!

Our company signed up for a free trial to test out sign now vs adobe pro or docusign. Creating documents was pretty straight forward and simple. We sent 3 signature requests mock documents and received a notice saying we had already allotted our "50 signature requests for the free trial". We signed up a business plan $30 a month so we could continue playing around with the information and contacted a sales rep for a demo of the whole service so we could decide if we needed to upgrade or to see all the features. Kris Mazanilla Medina was the worst salesman I have ever encountered. I repeatedly asked for a phone call instead of email and links, and when I finally just caved and scheduled an online meeting- I let him know I needed to be called as well, because my computer doesn't have microphone. He cancelled the meeting saying I had requested a phone call instead of a demo. I asked him repeatedly to sell me on the product. Show me what "sign now" offers, and he said it would take an 8 hour day just to talk about the features, he also told me since we already signed up for the basic business model, he "only handles corporate accounts" so he'd have to schedule me with someone else who handles "less business". I repeated again, "pretend I don't have an account at all, and SELL me on this service," because 100 signatures per year is not going to work for us. Meaning we had signed up for the wrong service because NO WHERE on the service description does it say it only allows 100 signatures per year. I told him UPSELL ME and he couldn't be bothered. Just kept repeating that he doesn't handle small business accounts. Finally, I was looking at the integrations and asked how they integrate with QuickBooks and he said they can't do that and tried to put me on hold so he could talk to his developers. As I was looking at the QuickBooks integrations tab ON THEIR PROFILE. I hung up. Cancelled our service, and was able to get on the phone with a saleman and doing a demo of adobe pro within 10 minutes. This place is a joke. I also contacted customer service so I could report the Kris, I opened a ticket, received an email saying a ticket has been created and that someone would reach out to me and "just let me know if you need further assistance besides this". I didn't respond, because it said someone would reach out and to respond if I needed further assistance. Which I did not. I get an email the next day saying "because I must be swamped" and didn't reply they are closing the ticket and I was never contacted. This place is an actual joke.

never get any statement , my billing is just high and not justify , no customer service , the phone system is off or they let you live a message or they are going call you back which never happen ...send emails no one is contact you , just money grab ...
