Brilliant customer service
I emailed Sibstar about a query regarding my dad's account. They were very quick to come back to me and were able to sort my query immediately. They're also always very friendly when you contact them. Excellent service!

Excellent “does what it says on the tin”. Already saved £100.00 on items that were not wanted or required Gives us control of what is being spent without taking over

Great concept but needs investment
Great concept and as I have just started it’s hard to make an assessment of performance. The. Sign up app is poorly designed and at odds with the solution. Asking for a 92 year olds email and to take a selfie is foolish. The form questions seem to repeat. The app does not integrate with iPhone or allow you to save the username and password which is a pain. The app needs developing. However, customer service is great and I got through the niggles.

I can’t tell you enough what an amazing service this is, I searched high and low for a product like this and it helped our family so much, with a very sensitive situation.
Don’t waste your time with Banks and use this service.
Great customer support
I've been in touch a couple of times with Sibstar's customer support team, and each time I have found them brilliant. Sure, some of the features of the card seem a bit awkward, but the team have been very patient in helping me navigate them. I think we all know that designing a product with the right kind of safeguards is pretty difficult, and I'm just glad that someone is doing it!

Sibstar very helpful when setting up…
Sibstar very helpful when setting up account for a family member with Dementia. For the time family member was able to use the card this allowed them to carry out a familiar routine. Would recommend to to families who have a family member with dementia who need extra support with managing their finances and card use once a level of capacity has declined to that individual.

Don’t bother
I started the process on 26th September after my sister had already tried and given up.
The staff do not seem to want to talk on the phone preferring emails, hence 27 emails later and still no card!
I have now cancelled the application

Have recently set up a Sibstar card for my Aunty. Early days as only just set it up but love the concept and the additional safeguards in place to help your family member manage their money independently but with additional safeguards in place. Set up is easy and the customer service team have been excellent and responsive with my queries. Feedback would be the turn around time on receiving the card (up to 10 days) is very long. Not sure if there is an option to have a cheque book but that would be beneficial if possible.

This is a great company with a friendly and communicative team
This is a great company with a friendly team, I experienced good communication via email and over the phone.
This card gave my Gran peace of mind knowing her money was safe and that I could help her to manage her money as power of attorney.
I found the Sibstar app easy to use and has unique functions that I could not find with other bank cards at the time. Such as receiving notifications everytine my Gran spent using the card, instant updates on where, when and how much was being spent, quick and easy to top the card up with money and an option to freeze the card at the touch of a button if I had needed to. There is also an option to put a maximum cap of on spending each day and month and choose where the card can be used, for example online, cash points, shops.
This card saved myself and my Mother a lot of stress knowing that Gran could carry on being independent spending her money as she wished without risk of using it in circumstances she would not have if she did not have dementia.
I recommend this card as it made a difference in my Grans and my families lives.

The application was fairly straight forward. Any questions I had were answered quickly. This card was for my mum so that her Bank account is kept safe.

The up-front documentation is a little onerous and I don’t really think a lot of it is really necessary.
The helpline and email support is very good and speedy.
The card in use is very good and allows independence of the user but with support from others.

Using Sibstar overseas
I needed to find out if I could use Sibstar in USA... Sibstar responded quickly (yes I can) and added additional information re where exactly the card could be used (mastercard logo displayed) and cost per transaction. I was happy to find the fees are low. Thank you Sibstar. Looking forward to using the card overseas.
