Shireplants Anmeldelser

one of the plants i recieved was clearly sick and dying but despite me supplying photographic evidence they claimed it was healthy and refused to pay for the return postage, So im having to pay to return the plant to them,
I would avoid buying from them.

Plants arrived quickly and were protectively packaged (in recyclable plastic and cardboard). They look very healthy and came with comprehensive care instructions. It's nice to be able to get something different from what I'd find in the local garden centres. I have no doubt that they will do very well.

Ordered two plug plants: these were delivered within 24 hours. Brilliant service and good value thank you

What a gem! was looking for a hard to find White Catanache, found here as well as several other unusual plants and shrubs. All plants have got comprehensive description of where they are from, growing habit and conditions needed to thrive. The prices are very good, all pants supplies in 9cm pots but good size plants in them. Normally worry about ordering online but not with Shire plants! Plants sent in custom made protective modules which I have never seen before, arrived well watered and in in great condition. Enclosed was an informative fact sheet with instructions which was useful. Planted all in my garden and they are all doing well. Very helpful with any enquiries. Can tell the Matt and Emma are passionate about plants and their business, so lovely to find a family run nursery that does online ordering. Would definitely recommend and will be buying from them again.

Just found this wonderful company, 1st order but not my last.
Very fast delivery and 1st class plants. Placed orders with 4
different companies at the same time. And shires are the best of the lot. Many thanks.

Very good quality plants
Prompt service and delivery
Really good packaging

I usually grow night scented stocks from seed, sowing in pots outdoors from the beginning of April. This year, for some reason, no plants developed at all. June came and we were going to be without night time fragrance on the warm evenings of July and August. I looked online and phlox was recommended so I then looked for suppliers. For no particular reason I chose Shire Plants. I had never ordered plants online before so I was a bit worried that they might get squashed or otherwise damaged in transit. However when they arrived I found the packaging system to be really rather clever and they were in very good condition. I've planted them and given them lots of water but it's a bit early to say how they'll do. I really enjoy looking for bargain price plants outside the supermarkets and I'll be doing that again next year but for specific requirements I'll certainly be ordering from Shire again.

Extremely disappointed with my experience with Shire Plants. Bought from them as I prefer to use smaller local businesses and the reviews on here seemed mainly very positive. My plants arrived not looking very healthy or large but it was early in Spring so I planted them assuming that they would start to put on growth. Since then only 5 of the 14 plants have survived and 3 of those look fairly feeble. I have emailed repeatedly and left messages but received no response at all. This is a shocking survival rate for plants and an appalling piece of customer service. Appalling really to just take my money and then ignore all contact.

I do have to speak as I find and the service I received from Shire Plants was faultless. I love the plants they sent me and they were dispatched very quickly after I made my purchase. I would not hesitate to order from them again, Thank you to all at Shire Plants.

Shire Plants Auto-reply Re: Your Shire Plants Order Confirmation (#30200)

Sent email Tuesday 9th April with photos of dying plants they said were healthy when dispatched. Asked for advice.

No reply. Don’t trust this company!!!

Product not fit for purpose.

Customer service not fit for purpose.

Would have given zero points if possible.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Ordered on-line and promptly acknowledge. Posted and received very quickly - came in a little pot, well protected and easily planted into a larger pot before, when warmer, planted out.
Efficient and professional service!

Plants arrived very poorly packed, On opening compost everywhere, 4 plants were in good condition, but 2 were of very poor quality, rotten and dead growth in both, dianthus very straggly and also full of dead slimy leaves. This makes the price of the 4 decent plants more expensive, as well as the cost of postage. I have gardened for over 50 years so fully understand that many plants are only now starting into growth.
I have always tried to purchase from smaller family businesses, however I cannot recommend Shire Plants, will not be buying from here again.

Only my second purchase from Shireplants but have to say the quality of the recent Pansy plants supplied and the way in which they are packaged are both excellent. Will certainly be using them again for my plant purchases.

Lovely healthy plants of a decent size and all grown here in the UK with an admirable ethic in terms of avoiding pesticides etc.
The website is easy to navigate and the service excellent - my order arrived in less than a week.
Highly recommended!

recieved 4 rosemary plants two dead and two gasping for air.Sent e-mail told by Matt Killick email this is perfectly normal as these plants die back in winter. weeks later still dead and no reply to further e-mail with pictures to request replacements.

I made a real mess of my online order, added plants in, took a couple off the list, and Matt at Shire Plants was really great, very patient. He replied really promptly to all my questions, put my orders together and refunded the postage I had added on by mistake. The plants arrived within 24 hours, really well packed and in lovely healthy condition.
I see there are some bad reviews, mainly a couple of years ago, so I think they must have taken notice, as the service I received was great.

Outstanding quality and really quick delivery. So great to find unusual varieties!

This review would have been four star but the packaging and delivery was a disappointment. The 'Live Plants' label was on the bottom of the parcel - . Luckily I'd alerted the household that I was expecting it while I was out otherwise nobody would have opened it up. Three of the for plants were in good condition but one had very yellow leaves and a slug happily embedded at the bottom of the pot. A fair price for plants but the postage costs are high and not justified by the poor packing.

Beautiful plants, healthy, well packed and using a responsible courier( DPD here is excellent). The plants just yell out at how well cared for they have been at Shire plants. This is my first order with them and they now go to the top of my nursery list.

i was pleased to find someone who sold plant singly and they are really well established and ready to plant out. my plants arrived quickly and very well packed. I will use this company again
