Thanks for leaving us a review, we're delighted to hear that you like how your wheels look! We're very confident that when you get out on your first ride, the wheels themselves will deserve a 5-star review!

We're very sorry for the delay with the dispatch of your wheels. Current world events such as the conflict near the Suez Canal and in the Middle East (Iran area) are causing major disruption to sea freight and air freight shipments. This is affecting thousands of businesses globally, not just ourselves.

We are doing everything we can to mitigate this as much as possible. We have made extra orders with our manufacturing partners, and we're securing airfreight deliveries via routes that avoid the conflict areas.

We want to thank you again for sticking with us, Jouni, and waiting for your wheels. Now that they have arrived, we hope you agree that they were worth the wait!

We're very confident that our wheels offer the very best quality, performance and durability at these price points. Once you've had a few rides on your new wheels, I'm sure you'll be very glad you chose us!

Thanks for taking some time out to write a review; we're delighted to hear that you're really enjoying your wheels, which is the main thing.

We're sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with the dispatch time on your order.

Just to clarify, I can see that we dispatched your order 11 days after you placed it (8 working days). This is slightly longer than normal for us (2-3 working days), as we're currently experiencing extremely high demand for our wheels. We apologise that dispatch took a little longer on this occasion.

We have put extra resources in place to get us back to our normal dispatch times.

I can see there were also a few short delivery delays with FedEx, I hope you can understand this is outside our control. We ship multiple wheelsets worldwide via FedEx daily, and it's extremely rare for us to encounter issues. We're very sorry to hear that you experienced a delay with them on this occasion.

As riders ourselves, we can understand how frustrating waiting for new bike components can be. However, we also take great pride in carefully hand-building our wheels to the highest possible standards.

Although it takes a little longer for your new wheels to be dispatched, we firmly believe that hand-built wheels offer much better performance and durability.

Regarding our build-to-order policy, this ensures that your wheels arrive in perfect condition and that they have been freshly hand-built with the spoke tensions set. Also, it's common practice across the bike industry (and many other online retailers) to pay in full for your pre-order before your order is processed and dispatched.

We keep all our wheel components in stock in our own warehouse, and we're not normally out of stock for more than a few weeks at a time. In most cases, when our customers order from us, we have the individual components here, and (as mentioned above) we hand-build within 2-3 working days.

We're delighted to hear that you're very happy with your wheels and our customer service.

With that said, we acknowledge that we've recently encountered some shipping delays due to the unfortunate conflict in the Middle East. We're very sorry that this meant you had to wait longer than expected for your wheels.

The ongoing conflict is causing major disruption not just to us, but to thousands of companies worldwide.

Although the wait for our wheel components is frustrating, we're trying to keep things in perspective. For all those in these areas currently affected by conflict, we hope the conflict ends soon.

We have reacted to this situation by making extra orders for our wheel components with our manufacturing partners and ordering further in advance to meet the growing demand for our wheels.

We've also chosen different air freight options, and although these have been more expensive, we are not passing these extra costs on to our customers.

We're very pleased to hear that despite the slight delay, you felt that the wait was worth it!

Lindsay here, Engineering Lead at Scribe. I’m really sorry to see that your experience has led to this review - that’s never the experience we want for our riders.

There’s no denying that the logistics of moving components to our workshop in Belfast have been particularly challenging recently. Ongoing disruption to global freight routes has unfortunately impacted both sea and air shipments, and although we have good stock of most product, there are some delays to specific configurations of some wheelsets.

That said, delays are one thing, the lack of communication is another. I’ve looked into your case and can see a previous contact attempt on Facebook that should have been responded to sooner. That’s not the level of service we expect to provide, and I’ve raised this internally with our team.

I have since reached out to you directly today so we can resolve this properly and provide a clear update on your order. As a small independent brand, rider feedback matters hugely to us, and we’re committed to making this right.

Thanks again for your patience, and we hope to get you riding your Scribe wheels very soon.
