The new bike is clearly faster with these wheels. Better in cross winds than my last set of aero wheels. They roll nicely with the 32 tires I’m using. Delivery time was a week longer than advertised.... Vis mer

super wheels
it took a week to arrive (as communicated) and then it was a joy to ride super stiff, wide enough for wide tires.

Decent product, but an incredibly frustrating and misleading buying experience
I ordered a wheelset from Scribe Cycling on February 12, based on their claim of "immediate dispatch in 1-3 days." What actually followed was a stressful six-week ordeal.
Instead of shipping my order, Scribe repeatedly delayed it, offering a string of excuses ranging from stock shortages to international freight delays. Over the course of a month, there was constant back-and-forth via email where they tried to switch my order to different models, sister brands, and alternative rim depths because they didn't have what I ordered.
After losing trust in their constantly changing timeline, I explicitly requested a full cancellation and refund on March 18. Instead of honoring my refund request, Scribe tried to bargain with me to wait another two weeks. Finally, unannounced and without honoring my cancellation, they simply shipped a pair of wheels (not the original order) to me on March 26.
As for the product itself, the wheels are generally fine, though the rear wheel unfortunately arrived slightly out of true.
While the hardware is okay, the customer service, misleading dispatch times, and blatant disregard for a customer's cancellation request are unacceptable. If you need wheels reliably and on time, I would look elsewhere.

Hi JD
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and I’m genuinely sorry for the experience you had while waiting for your order.
In this instance, a stock discrepancy affecting the 60 mm variant you originally ordered meant we weren’t able to complete the build within the expected dispatch window. As soon as this became clear, we worked to offer suitable alternatives including carbon-spoke configurations and alternative rim depths so we could get a comparable wheelset to you as quickly as possible. The Core SuperLight 50 option you accepted was supplied on that basis so we could avoid extending the delay further.
We fully appreciate that the timeline changes were frustrating. Like many manufacturers at present, we’ve been navigating ongoing global logistics disruption affecting a small number of key components, which has unfortunately impacted availability of some models. While many of our wheelsets are in stock and dispatch immediately, we do acknowledge that a small number of specific configurations are currently operating on pre-order timelines while component deliveries arrive.
Regarding your cancellation request, I’m sorry this wasn’t handled as clearly as it should have been at the time but from what I can see, there was no reply to our email questioning some further options. I will, however, review this with the team and ascertain if this could have been handled differently.
Now that the wheels are with you, I’d really welcome the opportunity to speak directly and make sure everything is exactly as it should be particularly your comment about the rear wheel arriving slightly out of true, which we would of course like to resolve quickly for you.
If you’re open to it, I’d be very happy to arrange a call and make things right.
We’re confident once everything is properly set up and dialled in, the wheels will perform exactly as expected and we do appreciate you giving Scribe a try despite the delays.
I look forward to hearing from you again.
Best regards,
Lindsay
Quality wheels
Quality made wheels, my second pair and from the original 5years ago, the design and engineering is there to see.
With supply chains all over the world effected, give these boys a chance to get your orders out, yous wont be disappointed when you get your new set of wheels, they keep you upto date in delays.
Since on the bike, the new ELÀN 5, certainly make a difference, fast getting up to speed, with a smooth feel over hard Irish roads.
Many thanks Scribe, keep up the great work.

Good wheels
After just two rides I can say I love the SL5 Elan wheel set. The improvement over the Hollowgram R45 was drastic. Almost 500 grams lighter and the perceived aerodynamic and rolling/spinning resistance was positive.
I initially ordered the SL5 Core, but they were taking FOREVER to be built, so I upgraded to the Elan. I’ve never had wheels or any other product take so long to arrive. From what I gather it’s Scribe’s business practice to keep inventory too low.
The customer service though was great and they always replied with good answers to my concerns and questions.

Nice wheels - but very delayed
The wheels I bought were 3 months underway. It was during the winter, and I really didn't need the wheels until they arrived late March. The delay was annoying, but Scribe did a good job of sending updates and I was never in doubt that I was going to receive the wheels.

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave a review - we really appreciate it.
We’re sorry again for the delay you experienced getting the wheels. Occasionally, global logistics can slow things down more than we’d like. That said, we always do our best to keep customers informed along the way, so it’s great to hear you felt well updated throughout.
We’re always aiming to deliver a genuine 5-star experience. If there’s anything we could have done better to make this a full 5-star review for you, we’d really value your feedback.

Hi Tiago,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
We're very sorry for the unusually long wait that you experienced for your wheelset. Please let me assure you that delays like this are not like us.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing conflict in the Red Sea area and the more recent conflict in the Middle East (Iran area), air freight and sea freight deliveries have been severely disrupted. This issue is not just affecting us; it's affecting thousands of businesses worldwide.
We are communicating with our manufacturing and shipping partners daily to find alternative delivery routes around the conflict. The good news is, we will be back in stock of our full wheelset range within the next few weeks.
I can see we dispatched your new wheelset last week, and it arrived within 4 days.
We hope that you get a chance to install your wheels soon and we're sure that the wheels will deserve a 5-star review!
Once again, we're very sorry for the wait that you experienced, and with the changes that we've put in place, we're very confident we won't experience delays as long as this in the future.
Thanks again, and if you need any further assistance, please jump on a live chat or drop us an email at team@scribecycling.com

The wheels are well engineered and well…
The wheels are well engineered and well made. I like the hub design. They perform well. Lightweight, but still stiff enough to accelerate and corner well.
