Keep away for them!!!
From my experience with them, my strong advise is don’t waste your money and time! It had taken me numerous emails and WhatsApp chasers to them and the case handler, Kathleen Jansen to get an update on my case. . She hardly replied my emails and only did so after I had written a review here last month. She also claimed that my WhatsApp messages weren’t received as they had changed the number!
I had approached them a few days after discovering my BTC were scammed on a fraudulent trading website in April 2021. After reviewing the case based in the information that I had provided them, they confidently told me that there is a high chance of recovering my losses and that it would take a time frame of about 8 to 12 weeks. I paid an upfront payment of Euro 500 and agreed to a cut of the recovered sum to them in order to start the case.
Now in December, I finally receive an email from them stating that they are unable to recover anything despite having confirmed with multiple financial authorities that the merchant was indeed internationally recognized as a scam. LocalBitcoins where I had transferred my BTC from to the fraudulent website was not helpful to even investigate the transactions and blamed me for authorizing these transactions. After the dispute with LocalBitcoins proved unsuccessful, they proceeded to complain officially to the Financial Ombudsman Service. They claim to had waited and challenged the decision through the services of FOS, however, the FOS hasn't provided any solution based on the fact that regulatory bodies determined that the payment facilitator cannot be held responsible for transactions that were authorized to be transferred to scam merchants.
Now Scamhelp informs me that there are few chances of recovering the lost funds and will consider my case closed until a further time when legal counsel determines that they have a viable case for a class-action lawsuit.
I feel that they had just taken advantage of me as a scam victim at the end of the day!!!

Please note that your case was related to a crypto platform not authorised to provide any services in your country of residence.
We took all the necessary steps to approach the crypto platform, the regulators, etc.
Later down the road we advised you to lodge a complaint with your bank since the crypto platform in question shouldn't have provided you with any services (shouldn't have opened an account for you) in the first place.
You refused to approach your bank. We informed you that it is an important step that can potentially help to recover the funds, but you insisted on not getting your bank involved.
Therefore, at this stage we can't really move forward with your complaint anymore.
On your end, you failed to cooperate and decided not to stick to the strategy we created, therefore we were not able to achieve the desirable result here.
Each case is different, we can't undertake the success in 100% of the cases. Sticking to our guidance is the key to success, we took multiple steps to recover the funds, but since you were not willing to move forward with your bank, we had to close your case.

If you have been scammed they advise they can get it back with ease. 8-12 weeks.
All they do is prompt you to email the company you paid via (coinbase) then they write info about your proof of being scammed screenshots that you forward to your bank. Coinbase blank you. Bank doesnt want to hear. Still with ombudsman. They could of told me to email them myself. Dont need to pay £1850.
