Very good prices.Have been buying lots of little bits from them.But recently brought our worktops from them and had them cut.staff in shop are so helpfull.
The delivery driver was amazing we are on the 2nd floor in a flat.No problems bringing them up and no moaning from the driver unlike some other companys we have used in the past.Would not hesitate to use them again

Delivery was prompt and on time and communication was excellent. So much so that when my husband didn't respond when the items were delivered the delivery driver went above and beyond to check if he was ok due to him having poor mobility and phoned me at work to reassure me.

Terrible Sample
I ordered a sample just to verify that the ""Mississippi Pine" was a match for our work surfaces as we have had them some time (I have found in the past that the colours online are not always a true represent).
Mississippi Pine is a very knotty and distinct work surface.
The sample supplied was small but the problem is they could not have picked a more "none descript" piece of the work surface if they had tried. Just plain and I wish I could attach a picture.
Probably go elsewhere as can't be certain right work surface.
5 star decking and 5 star service!
After my recent Savoy Timber experience, I thought it was only fitting to write a review:
From order to delivery the service has been great, plenty of contact both via email and phone (admittedly, I missed the calls both times but the staff at the Wigan branch left me detailed voicemails) to update me with delivery time frame and date etc, and all at a great cost.
Our delivery driver, Dave was as professional as could be during the whole delivery process. Where we live is a little 'out of the way' so when he couldn't find us initially, he called through and gave me information on where he was so I could direct him to our house. Upon arrival, Dave carefully went through his delivery manifest to make sure that everything was present and correct, and then proceeded to help us unload and put the decking kit parts where we needed them. Afterwards he was more than happy to give us some great advice on the building, care and upkeep of the decking, and also advised on things NOT to do to ensure the long life of our decking timber.
110% happy with everything service and delivery-wise, and now already looking forward to our next Savoy order.
Thanks again Dave and the staff at the Wigan branch (and the whole of Savoy Timber), we appreciate you.

Overall a great experience with Savoy Timber. They called to confirm a delivery date after purchasing from them, and my delivery guy, Dave, was great. Delivered nice and early with no messing about.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars was because on my order, it was for the 2 week delivery but it ended up being 3 weeks, other than that great service!
OVER 2 MONTHS FOR DELIVERY!!
Ordered 10 fence panels 22nd April finally received 23rd JUNE!! website states upto 21 days for delivery. Dozens of phone calls, mostly disconnected when put through to Wigan store. So frustrating. Managed to agree a refund of delivery fee (£35) but still waited an extra month after that. The fence panels turned up. They are great quality heavy duty panels at a decent price,not many splits to timber. Pleased with the product definitely not the service. Savoy shouldn't take orders if they can't supply within timeframe agreed.

Really disappointing
I am writing to express my disappointment with the Composite Decking Kit that I recently purchased from your company. The product has presented several challenges that were not clearly communicated at the time of purchase, leading to a frustrating experience.
Firstly, the product description on your website claims that the kit includes "all you need for your complete composite decking kit, ready to assemble." However, it fails to mention that additional cutting of pieces is required. This omission is misleading and caused significant delays and inconvenience during the assembly process.
Secondly, the instructions provided online are insufficient and unclear. Moreover, there was no paper copy of the instructions included in the kit, which is typically expected for such products. When I reached out for assistance, I was merely directed to the same inadequate online instructions, further compounding my frustration. The lack of comprehensive and clear assembly guidance is unacceptable for a product advertised as saving time and money.
Additionally, the customer service I received was poor. Instead of offering practical help, the response I received was to refer back to the online instructions that I had already found to be lacking. This dismissive approach did nothing to resolve my issues or improve my experience with your product.
The components of the kit – the tanalised subframe, decking boards, nosing boards, fascia boards, and fixing kit – may well be of good quality, but the assembly experience has been far from satisfactory. Despite the claims that the kit is "fully finished" and "ready to assemble," the reality has been quite the opposite.
I urge you to address these issues by:
• Clearly stating on the product page that additional cutting of pieces is required.
• Providing comprehensive, step-by-step instructions both online and as a paper copy included in the kit.
• Improving your customer service to offer real solutions rather than redirecting customers to unhelpful resources.
I hope you will take these concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure future customers do not encounter the same difficulties. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter
Rude staff. Need some training in customer care.
I visited the Blackpool store today. I couldn't find what I wanted so went to the counter for assistance. There was a young girl behind the counter, long black hair and covered in tattoos. She was on the phone to a customer. Seemed very polite until she put the phone down. I was stood directly in front of her and in full view and earshot of myself and another customer with a child shouted "God! I'll wipe you're a*** for you as well. They're so rude." If this is how the staff speak about customers behind their backs, not caring who hears this definitely isn't the shop for me. I turned and left and won't be going back.
As a footnote to this review. I just tried to post it and it told me my review contained inappropriate language. Well, say no more.
