Customer service a complete shambles!

19th May order placed with a 7-10 day delivery window.
21st May email received confirming delivery date Friday 5th June.
3rd June email received to say order is delayed and will not be delivered as planned. The number in the email 01253 202747 does not work so unable to return call.
4th June email sent to Chelsea and Gary at Savoy Timber requesting call back.
10th June call made to Savoy Sales Team. Unable to help and suggested I just wait for Blackpool Hub to get in touch.

Well over the agreed delivery time and completely in the dark about when I can expect my order.

I read some of the negative reviews and got nervous about ordering. I called the number - they confirmed my items were in stock and would be delivered within 7 to 10 days. Delivery was pricey - cost me £200 as Im down south near London. I put an order through on Monday. It all arrived on Wednesday - all 40 odd items, loads of 4.8m lengths of timber, small boxes of screws, 2.4m fence posts etc. Everything came, undamaged and what I think is early!. Very happy and still over the moon with the price as it worked out about £250 cheaper than going to B&Q / Wickes even when factoring in delivery.

Carl from Savoy timber in Wigan dropped off our order and was so good. Asked where we wanted it to be put so not in our way. Very happy helpful guy who made sure our order was correct and exactly where we asked him to put it. Would definitely buy from them again as the service and delivery are Top Notch.

I shop at Savoy Timber because I've always received consistent excellent service from all the friendly Staff.
You all work as a team with the same values.
On a personal note, it can be intimidating when as a customer you know in your head what you want to achieve, but due to disabilities your unable to work out what's required.

Looking for decking suppliers on the interweb and came across Savoy Timber who supplied full decking kits, much easier than piecing parts together and having to work out what’s required. Ordered three kits and arrived a week later. They called on the delivery day with an estimated time of arrival, the guys unloaded and stacked all the kits neat and tidy. You couldn’t have asked for a better service, polite, excellent service, reliable delivery and a quality product.

Savoy ofer a large range of composite decking and accessories however they do not hold a lot stock.

Always ask if they have the stock available when ordering as they are happy to take your money and then inform you they are waiting on a delivery.

At present I ordered mine back at the beginning of March and am still today June 08th waitimg with no information available !!!!! Not really acceptable.

I've been told everything from shipping delays due to war in Ukraine to the war in the Middle East to diesel shortages. They even promised me it was on the docks at one point and would be here in a few days to then be told it hadn't even left yet😡
(So much for summer in our new garden )probably be ready for winter!!!

Not many suppliers of this sort of decking so once started your tied to them.

All I can say is check stock and check again 3 months for delivery (and still waiting with no update) is not good

I didn’t really want to do this review but!! I had a composite decking kit delivered Tuesday delivery everything good I missed that 6 x 2.2 nosing boards are missing its now Friday and I’ve emailed been given different e mails to send details I’ve called and nothing I I appreciate I missed items on delivery day but customer service is dismal no communication from them not good
It’s now sat rang emailed every day got one reply which said we’ve sent it to correct dept really ??? Wish I never bought it was supposed to fit it today customer service is the worst

My delivery was about a week late but wasn't to bothered, not in a rush .. Delivery guy was great answered a few questions and helped me with moving the timber.. Overall pleasant experience..

Purchased various lengths of 4x2 tanalised. Part of one length was rotten, part of one length was missing and one length was so twisted, it was unusable. Sent photos by e mail to Savoy but completely ignored. I only purchased from Savoy as previously, i had purchased 4x2 tanalised and it was perfect. Not this time. Don’t care about the quality but do not like to be ignored. It should have been replaced. It is now waiting for 5th November.

Extremely disappointing. Bought items shown as in stock and was promised delivery within a week, only to be told much later to wait another 3 months or more. Refund only is not a fair solution when prices have gone up. Misleading stock information.

I would like to clarify that the original panels were purchased at a clearance price and the currently available alternatives are significantly more expensive. As the delay and stock issue were not caused by me, I do not feel it is fair that I should now have to pay substantially more for a comparable product.

Ordered fence panels with a 5-10 day delivery as needed for job. Said in stock online . Savoy didn’t deliver and didn’t bother to let me know they couldn’t until I chased . Lady on phone said would be another 3 weeks at least . So 5 weeks in total!! Delaying my job and costing me money. Still waiting for refund after 2 weeks. Don’t bother with this dishonest company they knew they couldn't fulfil my order when they took my money. I had workers lined up to do the job which now cant be completed.

I made an order which came 7days as specified on the website. They didn't tell me they were short on timber so didn't send it, I was told it would be with me the following week which it wasn't. Tried calling a bunch of times. Phone was never answered finally got someone over email after a week. They told me it would be another week. I asked for a refund and was then ignored. Asked again...same. had to ring the head office to get someone to sort it out. 3weeks after the order finally got a refund. No communication poor service would definitely not recommend.

The driver Carl was extremely helpful and efficient and delivered to my back garden.
1 joist was missing from the order but Carl said he will report this back at the depot and get it delivered asap

Our Timber was delivered promptly and the quality is excellent. Our delivery driver Carl was very professional and helpful. Would highly recommend!

The problem with this company is their website states items, in my case decking sets, are in stock when they are not. I found this out when I was clarifying delivery windows the day before it was scheduled. It was only then they informed me the items ordered would not be in stock until the end of the following week, despite continuing to be listed as in stock on their website for days afterwards. If I had not enquired I would have waited all day for a non-existent delivery. They admitted their error (while not updating their website) and, to be fair, immediately issued a full refund so an extra star for that. Another company (edecks) delivered the equivalent item within a week, but by then I had missed a week of clement weather and am behind schedule.
