Opened a dispute, 2 days later got a phone call to pay, nearly two months passed since, still waiting….

Cannot reach anyone with ability to resolve historic problems. No managers available, Generic inaccurate email replies. No reading of previous emails sent. Utter waste of time. Polite though lol.

Waiting a month now to get my hearing verdict in the post. Get a different answer every time I ring them. Has to be sent to this person then has to be signed then has to be reviewed etc.... My file is just on a desk somewhere and they are not bothering to help me. I have two kids that are going to be homeless with no help from anyone because of these people.
Dealing with the rtb has been the worst experience of my life. Zero stars in truth.

Not competent; an inactive, sleepy little outfit of buck passers killing time until pension day. Wouldn't last a week in Macdonalds let alone the broad private sector.

It is sickening dealing the RTB board - a nightmare. Their employees lack COMMON SENSE and return stupid responses. I give up dealing with their office. Let the tenants register as opposed to the Landlord and have it free of charge. Perhaps it would be better, from what I hear a huge amount of landlords are not registered and work it under the 6 months rule. Only fools comply with the Law, and we are trying to be one!
The RTB is painful to deal with.

If I ever decide to leave the market, it will because I’m forced to deal with an incompetent organisation called the RTB.
They are the worst of the worst. I cannot get through to them. Their website is a joke.
I have never been forced to deal with such incompetent people.

RTB does not deserve a star. Unbelievable. I cannot get into my account to pay registration renewal. The representative whilst friendly was not able to take payment over the phone. I cannot change my password as my browser isn't supported, on a relatively new phone. Back to paper system and late fees 😡 disgraceful service.

It's hard to believe that this is an arm of the government..

I find it difficult to navigate every time I'm on it..

This institution is a joke and should be disbanded. I pity the poor people working there as the problem was created day one. Not fit for purpose for landlords or tenants.

I am not wasting any more time on this shower. I have tried numerous times to log in and pay my annual registration only to get a
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource"
message each time. They have the cheek to say they are reintroducing fines if you register late but most of us want to pay but can't. Why can't they employ proper web developers?!

The most incompetent organisation I've ever had to deal with. A conokete waste of taxpayers money.

Totally not even worthy of a one star! Tried on several occasions to pay my annual registration. This has to be the worst website I have ever tried to navigate. Got so frustrated with the website that I rang the RTB only to be put through to a lady who wasn't very helpful and had very little patience. Totally unacceptable experience. Why isn't anything being done when all the reviews here clearly show what a bad service is being offered to us.

I have tried on several occasions to pay the registration fee. Time is money and I'm not wasting anymore time on this.
Would you hire any member of the board of directors from this organisation? I don’t think so!. The RTB is another government quango. RTE is bad but the RTB if subject to the same scrutiny would undoubtedly be a clear winner.
Why should I pay for this service when,
(1) It is a scurrilous waste of taxpayers’ money.
(2) When required to produce statistics for the housing crisis the RTB were not capable of producing reliable figures.
(3) The web site is not for fit purpose. Forbidden access errors and more 403 errors can be found on this site than the entire WWW.
(4) No direct email address available to contact the RTB which if you read between the lines, no one is held accountable.

I thought the RTB website could not get any worse, I was wrong. Having tried for two days to pay their annual fee I finally found the secret. Ignore the "what can we do for you today" banner, ignore the three options displayed in large boxes inviting you to register, re register etc etc and scroll down. There you find hidden away an "Actions Required" box which after a tortuous multi page trail leads you to the payment section. The genius who designed this website did his best to make things difficult and he succeeded. Maybe other browsers show the full home page, I use Firefox which does not. All this followed an attempt to follow the instructions issued by RTB via an email that took two A4 pages to print advising that I needed to re-register to pay the fee, also acknowledging their website had "user issues" and were waiving the €10 per month penalty for late payment (which is now being re-introduced!!!) Following their instructions I headed to the re register box on the visible part of their home page (which lists "making payments" as one of its functions) which then led me to a request to enter my eircode followed by an error message stating my eircode was already on file, another little twist in the tortuous maze of this disaster of a website and one that could not be bypassed. A basic error that a first year student programmer would spot and rectify.

Can I suggest that the "Action required" include a tender issued by the RTB for a competent programmer who will start from scratch and design a website that is fit for purpose.

Footnote: As I was about to submit this review a further 2 page "no reply" email from RTB arrived to advise me that they were unable to finalise my application to register a tenancy as the application was deemed incomplete!!! They can deem what they like, the process was completed, I have confirmation of fee payment from Paypal and their email is in the bin. End of story.

Have problems with this site now for 2 years and today at 4pm it will not allow me in because it is
"currently under maintenance"
Never experienced anything as bad.
I am not joking when I say I have wasted days on this site as I have a few properties.

THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST AND MOST CONFUSING WEBSITE I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO DEAL WITH. It is non-intuitive and I simply had no idea whether what I was doing to re-register a tenancy was right or wrong. There must be someone somewhere within the public service, or even a private contractor who can make this website fit for use because it certainly is not fit now.

once again this agency has outdone themselves, they cancelled/ended an existing tenancy, and reregistered a tenancy that had ended 15 months ago-it's baffling how they managed to do it. You never have a continuity with a member of staff, so no one takes responsibility for anything. I was talking to a guy called Michael for 19 minutes, we got cut off on his end, I got no call back, no email back etc, next person I got cut off after 11 minutes, same thing, I rang back Michael answered the phone, I told him how frustrating it was that he didn't follow up so as not to waste my time, he said to ring back and talk to someone else-and hung up. I then used emails, I finally got it sorted after about 9 more emails, It took over 45 emails to register 2 properties, and about 12 hours on the phone-So I pay for about 20 hours of their time with my fees and taxes, and about 20 hours of my own time, so about e800 and nothing to show for it-they should be shamed of themselves.

Terrible service, how this company is allowed to continue is beyond me, they have my tenancy recorded incorrectly and have failed to record notice of termination although it has been sent twice. we are forced to deal with this sham because we are legally obliged to
