Very good support

the people i dealt with were very patient as i am not very tech savy & i am slow

Service query responded to promptly and personnel courteous and respectful.

My 2023 program was working well but I had to re-new the subscription for $1040.
It wasn't easy to install the update. I did not manage to do it myself. The Reckon staff helped me out by entering my computer.
However I was warned that next time I will be paying for the service. Is it fair?

The software would be good if it worked. But there are constantly incoherent glitches. Every quarter, I do the detective work to find them, then send a long list to my accountant for her to correct. Once she has done so, I can continue with reconciliation.
However, on some occasions - the latest in relation to pay roll - my accountant was unable to correct and told me to ring Reckon for assistance. This has happened before, and I have never had a constructive conversation with the assisting team. When I call, it is because it is an advanced problem, not beginners' stuff.
However, the team is unable to recognise this. I, on the other hand, am left with hopeless attempts to rectify, which last time then inexplicably spread from one incident to at least six. More, actually. The person I spoke to was herself convinced that she had solved the problem in a matter of seconds, and that I was the problem, whereas it was clear to me that the person at the other end was very freshly trained and blissfully unaware of the functionality of the layers of the system, links to the ATO and superannuation, but also about really simple things like how to draw a report.
When later I saw the mess and devastation I was left with, which has spread to two people, various bank transfers and three payment dates instead of just one missing payment of an employee in the bank transfers, and which contained mind-blowing new added figures which were definitely not there when a couple of days prior I first prepared my list for reconciliation for the accountant, I decided not to call Reckon again to have them sort it, but instead spent a full morning sorting it all out myself.
Never again shall I call them for assistance. If you are not savvy enough to look through the various layers of the system and then also take the time to quadruple check that no end is loose, do not use this company. Errors in the reporting are very, very common, and help is NOT at hand.

The staff understood what we required, gave us the relevant information and helped us through every step.

I will never use these thieves again, nor recommend them to anyone. They continued to steal money off me after a trial period, I never used the product as it didn't do what I needed, and didn't want the subscription. They refused to refund the money when I finally noticed the outgoing cost - several hundred dollars. Terrible business model.

No weekend support at all while the whole system failed.
Don't use this if you own a small business and need to do accounting outside business hours!!
This must only be for large companies with dedicated account staff.

I downgraded from Reckon Desktop Premium to One Plus Accounting Essentials with Payroll, as I didn't need some of the bells and whistles of the Desktop version. It is 24.00 per month after the 6-month discounted price of 12.00 per month. I have been a Reckon/ Quickbooks user for 24 years.

Also, I tried it for 1 month with a free trial using both packages to ensure all was in synch. I am very impressed with the elegance and simplicity of Reckon Plus Accounting Essentials. I didn't need a data conversion. I just entered my trial balance into Reckon One.

I needed some help, and the support line answered any questions quickly and with expert knowledge of the package.

Thank you, Reckon, for an easy-to-use online solution for OneTouch and Accounting for my small online business. I don't have stock or need to invoice - just subscription revenue and the usual expenses associated with an online business.

Easy to get help over the phone.... every person I speak to gives quick concise answers to my questions and if I need Reckon to get into my computer it's an easy exercise and problems sorted promptly thanks to Reckon staff.

Extremely patient and helpful chap who assisted me today. Love not having to explain everything to a 'virtual assistant' first. Stayed with me online the whole way through and never showed that he lost patience with my tech illiteracy. Was very grateful and so happy that we were able to rectify my problem.
