Very nice people to work with but the…
Very nice people to work with but the process of moving to the Rain platform has taken months. I still have a lot of work to do before I can use this system and the process started in March 2023. Unfortunately below expectations
Customer service is fantastic
Customer service is fantastic! In-house payment processing is really slow, though. The last payment processed I used had the funds in my account overnight. Woth Rain, it's days.... sometimes many if Monday is a holiday.
They have been supportive
They have been supportive and answer questions, by means of a ticket mostly. The system is better than other POS's. We learn something new regularly. They are good with updates.
It has been a terrific experience
It has been a terrific experience. Both my lead contact and my program educator were very helpful and kind. There is always a learning curve when tackling a new program but once you dig in, you learn more as you go. One day at a time. One learning accomplishment at a time.

I worked with Emily Hall and she was so great to talk to and explain things and help. I'm not a IT person and she explained everything very well and on my level so I could continue working your system. Your POS/website is very easy to work with.
One of the worst POS systems
After we set up our account and online, it was near impossible to get a hold of anyone and get assistance.
We were told email listing and sending emails was part of the POS but come to find out it was an additional charge.
Great POS - Lacking Support Staff
I love the POS and am very happy with it. However, support takes far too long to respond. If I need help with my website or anything like that It's days before I get a response. Then after my reply its more days of waiting and on and on we go. It's impossible to make progress this way.
Support is not helpful
Support is not helpful when we reach out with issues. Most of the bugs get marked as "non-reproducible" even though they ARE reproducible. I don't feel like the support team is doing their due diligence to try to replicate the issue before submitting the bug to the development team. In our last email exchanged, the support rep had the audacity to ask us "Do you have any idea on what might be causing this problem?" No! We don't! If we did, we wouldn't be emailing you! It's ridiculous. Eventually, WE did figure out the issue, we provided a couple examples of the problem, and it still got marked "non-reproducible." Absolutely ridiculous. Also, there are many bugs with Rain Payments that support cannot help with. It feels useless to try to contact them for help anymore.

Rain was able to give us a really quick turn-around on submitting data to going live. Additionally, the CSR with whom we worked was quite knowledgeable and able to answer all kinds of questions.

Great support staff, while we had a few hiccups with features and setup the overall experience has been what we expected.

I dislike how rainpro has been handling…
I dislike how rainpro has been handling my account. When I have a problem, they take too long to respond. Also, the change in how they handle the deposits. They are not available in your account until two days later. They keep going up on my billing. They were the best when they first started but when they decided to take on more responsibilities I felt like they were not ready for the changes.

I like the system overall as far as the register and the workings of it is concerned. It’s easy to use and navigate. Entering my items onto the website is also easy, but the website itself is another matter. I don’t know how to change anything inside the website as far as putting other pictures in or adding new content. While in training, videos were frozen a lot of times so I was unable to get the proper training to learn how to use the website and or change things within the website. Once the training was over then I was left on my own. Trying to find somebody to return calls was also a concern. Either they didn’t return calls, or they were late returning calls. I now have to use the FAQs which don’t always address the problem and again if you call then you really don’t get a good answer or they don’t call you back.

I still don’t have any answers about the website or how to get more orders. It’s been over a year and I barely get one order every month or two. I’ve tried emailing and not gotten a response. It’s fairly frustrating and expensive having a website if nothing is being sold

Our inventory has trouble with multiple of the same items ordered and then causes a shortage. We brought this to your attention but nothing was resolved
Wait time for your help team is too long and if you leave a message it takes a day or two to get a call back
Definitely not impressed with the new implement of using rain pay. Not impressed at all
In All honesty. If I find another server for my website I will definitely consider it. The rain pay was the last straw

I am a web site and Quilt Show Vendor “only” I do not have a brick and mortar store. I feel the cost of my web site is very expensive and talked to “Rain” last year about cancelling. I was told they were working on something for people like me. Has there been any work on this issue? I know there is most likely a price increase this year. Not worth the money
The support during onboarding was amazing except they pushed to get me set up in a very short time frame. I thought this was great except it just meant that when my website went live I didn't get the one-on-one support that I would have gotten had they not pushed to get my site up early.
During onboarding I was told that they could support rentals. I took that to mean vacation rentals, but in fact it was for canoes, etc. When I explained what my needs were for the rental portion I was told they could help me with that. The whole reason I switched to Rain POS was to have all facets of my business together in one software. After uploading all the pics, information, and links from my old website and getting online shopping set to go, I found out that they in fact could not support my rental.
Along with those major issues, I had multiple problems with printing labels through Rain and the reports for consignor sales were not accurate which caused a big mess. There were many things that happened that seriously impacted the way I do business so I made the decision to go back to Squarespace even though I had taken 4 months to get everything set with Rain POS as far as my products online, making labels for products, and making my online store look how I wanted. It was a HUGE waste of time.
I do not recommend this company
I do not recommend this company. I am in Australia and they are simply not set up sufficiently to serve this market. No GST provision. You have to constantly call (international) to get any customer service. They don’t follow through, or make mistakes that you have to follow up on. Again and again.

It’s very helpful to be able to get through quickly to customer service and it seems you guys have stepped things up in that area. You’re receiving suggestions in a great way and that’s appreciated since we’re experiencing things in real time that need attention or could be better for us as business owners. I’d love to see improvement in the integrations areas especially shipping. It’s really hard to communicate issues in that particular area and nearly impossible to be able to talk to ship station. It’s often a “it’s their problem not ours” situation if it involves both you and ship station and it can feel unnecessarily hard to pinpoint the issue and get it fixed quickly when there are orders on the line waiting to go out. It would be amazing to see the lines of communication open up with that particular thing.
We've run into a bit of trouble
We've run into a bit of trouble, like Paid Outs not being tracked well or findable.
I haven't loved the support team yet. I'd like one continuous person. Relationships are important to efficiency.
The search feature is frustrating. It's caps and comma sensitive. I'd like it to be a bit "smarter" of a search option.

No callbacks when requested from my initial agent. Had to call in each time I needed help and got different agents each time. I terminated this account in August 2023
