This course transformed my life. After a few years of family struggles, bereavement and unemployment I was isolated, lacking confidence, passion and direction. My mum had heard about this course back when I was in college after high school and it had always been in the back of my mind, so when I decided I was ready to make changes in my life and begin moving forward again, I signed up just to see how it would go. I could not have been more supported and cared for by John Staff and the team at Leeds Building College. This course and their support enabled me to build so much confidence in just six weeks, giving me access to an industry of meaningful work that allows me to make great money doing something I love. I will never look back from the rail industry. From the start I have felt right at home and I have met so many lovely, open minded, patient people who have really looked after me. I even met two other women on the track! To any girlies considering this course or who want to radically change their career, I cannot recommend this course enough. Getting your PTS will open so up many opportunities to you and the industry desperately needs more women. I want to see you on track!! Thank you so much to all the lovely, helpful, considerate, compassionate staff at Rail Futures and the medical team who went above and beyond for me and were always there when I needed them. Really enjoyed my Track Maintenance course. My tutor Jalal Ahmed was easy to get along with, explained everything properly, and was always happy to help if anyone didn’t understand something. Made both the practical side and classroom work easier to follow.

You can tell he knows his stuff and have loads of experience in the industry. The course was kept interesting and relaxed, which made learning a lot better. Would definitely recommend this tutor and course to anyone looking to get into track maintenance.

Don't trust ehat this company says out of the class I did only 2 to 3 out about 12 that fi ished the course have any work , which they don't tell to the end of the course th rates , the only peaple making g money out of this are this company would go as far to say its scam

For some one like my self that fears sitting in class room an all bad memories I had from school jalal made me feel relaxed a focused he help me to understand a gave me his up most. It’s been pleasure to have him as my lecturer I’d recommend him to any one else that wants to put there time in a learn he’s class example of good lecturer. I owe him for the help he’s given

Jalal is the best teacher i've worked with by far. His easy to understand and has a lot of time for every student. In my opinion 5 stars is not even enough.

I’m currently on the second week of my course at COPC, Highbury Campus doing the 6 week PTS course and and being taught by Jalal Ahmed. Just wanted to say that the course is going great, and in no small part to the high level of information being delivered by Jalal. He has time for everyone and goes above and beyond to make sure we thoroughly understand the information provided. This week has been the practical side of the course and the atmosphere is buzzing. Every person partaking is having not just and educational experience, but one that is proficiently delivered with great energy. I highly recommend this course, and Jalal as a tutor. Looking forward, and with confidence, to completing this course.

Jalal has great person skills. Very thorough tutor and also funny at times. Very sound guy willing to help all succeed. Also cracking teller of stories. Amazin teacher n great guy n course. Can't wait to get on job. Thanks for this amazin opportunity

They get you through the course, but after the course, they leave you high and dry without a job.

They give you a main sponsor called "INFRASTRUCTURE LABOUR LIMITED", who are absolutely useless and will not get you a single job. All other sponsors you contact never help either.

It seems to be a government ruse! A waste of 8 weeks of my time/life. Avoid this government swindle...

I recently completed my PTS course through Rail Futures at the Leeds College of Building, South Bank Campus.
Overall, I had a really good experience. The course covered everything I needed to know and was explained in a clear and straightforward way, which made it easy to understand, especially as someone new to the rail industry. The training was well structured and gave me the confidence I needed to go on and pass.
My tutor, John Staff, was excellent throughout. He explained everything clearly, was very patient, and made sure no one was left behind. He took the time to go over anything people were unsure about and made the whole learning environment feel relaxed but still professional. His support and encouragement made a big difference and definitely helped me get through the course successfully.
I’m really glad I chose to do my training here and appreciate all the support I received at the South Bank Campus.

Has been a great experience. Would recommend this for anyone who’s lost & looking for a fresh start in life. It gives you structure & a purpose. It’s a well respected industry with lots of work. Put the work in and it will pay off. Having Jalah Ahmed as our teacher has been great. Has been the role model I needed at the perfect time. He’s patient, relatable & knows the course inside out.

Jalal ahmed is a brilliant trainer he is very good and knowledgeable at what he does he takes his time to go through things when you dont understand something and he is very open to being asked questions about the subject you are learning on the day you couldn't ask for a better person to train you

I started this course not knowing what to expect. So far I finding this course so interesting. My tutor Jalal is so patient and understanding. Claire and Kim are so helpful. Thank you City of Portsmouth College!

Really good the good Jamal is the best tutor learning so much about it really recommended Jamal as a tutor and anyone else thinking of join in it please do because it will change your life

The corse is going well so far just 2 weeks in and due to my current tutor Jalal Ahmed who has been very helpful and supporting to not just myself, he's down to earth and tells you what you need to know and what's most important. I am looking forward to the rest of the course.(i would give 5☆ but its too early to say)

My tutor jalal Ahmed is the best he has taught me a lot about being a rail operative and given me valuable life advice one of the best mentors around

My experience on rail futures has been great. My teacher Jalal is a very nice guy, his method of teaching is by far the best I’ve come across. He breaks things down for you and allows you to intake the knowledge in the best way possible. Very polite, kind and caring individual and has a brilliant sense of humour. If you find anything difficult then Jalal never fails to make you understand the task as his teaching skills are highly on point.

Since joining rail futures my trainer Jalal Ahmed has been amazing. He has made me feel very welcome and is extremely helpful and supportive. I have only been on the course for two weeks but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Jalal has made it a pleasure so far and I look forward to continuing this course.

I completed a course with Rail Futures expecting support and guidance afterwards, especially regarding job opportunities in the rail industry. Unfortunately, once the course was finished there was almost no communication or follow-up. It felt like once the training was completed, they were no longer interested in helping.

For anyone hoping the course will lead to real support or help finding work, that wasn’t my experience. Very disappointing and not what I expected when signing up

The tutor was very experienced and knowledgeable about the subjects that we were been taught. Jalal Ahmed was very approachable reasonable and very understanding when it came to listening to each student asking questions. He would explain everything as simple as he could so that we could understand. I really enjoyed the course it was informative and I was surprised to see how much care and planning they do to make traveling on the trains safe for everyone travelling on the railway. It was a really good course and I have a learn alot from being here. I would recommend anyone who wants to do it to go for it and make sure you get Jalal Ahmed as you're tutor. You couldn't ask for a more better person,tutor and very experienced tutor who has a great amount of knowledge that is invaluable to pass on.
