Jalal Ahmed made this course an absolute blast to be part of. He was a knowledgeable instructor who always went above and beyond to help and assist. Dont think I've seen a better tutor and hope that our paths may cross again again.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on this course including both the theory and practical aspects of it. Couldn’t have asked for a better tutor to help us through this course, Jalal (our tutor) did a very good job in ensuring each and every one of us was up to speed with the knowledge and no one was falling behind, his additional knowledge of the occupation was extremely helpful in not only how to obtain work after the course but in which directions to strive to develop your career in the industry. Having employers visit to give us an idea of what work would be like was extremely helpful in addition we had a former student who was previously in our position talk to us and show us his path and the tickets etc he has obtained in the year he has been in this line of work this was great eye opener as to what can be achieved with the qualifications obtained by this course. The additional support from the college itself was very helpful.Kimberly Sayers has been open to all questions and queries showing great professionalism and punctuality when it came to communication between sponsors and getting that information to us as students as quick as possible. Overall great course with amazing people to teach it.

Jalal Ahmed is approachable tutor full of knowledge, he was like a friend to all students during the course. I enjoyed the course specially the practical side of it. the college helped us and provided everything we needed for the course. Will recommend this course and Jalal Ahmed.

His knowledge of the subject was excellent, and he explained everything clearly, making sure we fully understood. His communication skills were great, and he made the course easy to follow while keeping it engaging. He was also very approachable and easy to talk to, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, Jalal is a brilliant teacher, and I would highly recommend him to anyone taking the course.

He explains everything clearly and honestly, making even the most complex topics easy to understand.

The course was good thanks to my trainer . Long process, but eventually coming to the end thanks to everyone especially Jalal Ahmed a true kind help full individual who obviously doesn’t get the recognition needed .

Coming from the Caribbean were there are no trains I thought this course would have been very hard and I wouldn't have pass but I had a great understanding teacher Mr Jalal Ahmed, his 20 years experience from the railway made the course wonderful. The practical was amazing. I jus finished my 6 weeks and can't wait to finish my safe critical training and get on the tracks

Just completed the 6 week nvq with jalal ahmed, was life changing to learn from the experience of jalal ,who was a fantastic teacher, and extremely kind and helpful, unbelievable experience, cannot wait to get on the railway, as an older fella I have experience college courses before and normally find them drab and boring, but from day 1 this course was fun and interesting I have looked forward to attending every day, jalal has made this experience really enjoyable and I'm confident in my future on the railway.

The nvq was made very easy by my instructor Jalal he was very clear and precise in his method of delivery and caters to everyone and even brought in old pupils and a company director to deliver speeches to the class…the course lasted 6 weeks but was made to feel less and now I feel confident and ready to step onto the railway….onwards and upwards
