I just moved to this area -an apt. complex.
The 1st contact w/a rep. to set up service - would not believe my actual zip code. This person was located in central PA and had no way to 'see' anything regarding eastern PA. I called after service commenced to 'fix' address.
I was offered a free welcome kit online 9/23. From the very start, I couldn't log in to my account via the link. I called PPL deciding to give a certain amt. of time to be on hold. It ended up being over an hour - yeah, I was an idiot but I got other things done while on hold. After being transferred 4x -the 5th representative (she was in billing apparently) wanted to send me back to a # I had called already. Why doesn't PPL just not offer things if a customer can't get them? It costs PPL nothing in the 1st place. I will also be looking for less expensive suppliers. I CAN PAY MY BILL ONLINE WITH NO PROBLEM!

Every time the wind blows, the power goes out. Always some BS excuse and takes for ever to get back online. On top of that, it's a monopoly with no other options. They SUCK!

Lousy service and lousy customer support.

1) They send invoices after termination date
2) They have an AI to prevent people from calling in to sort things out it can only say "i don't understand please try again" but after about 7 minutes it gives up.
3) They speak poorly so it is hard to understand and just wants to transfer you.

Luckily for PPL there are no options if they are the suppliers so you must use them.

Ppl. I would appreciate being given notice you are sending people on my property. My backyard is locked and will remain locked unless it is an emergency. Are you really stating that it is too hard to send an email notification to the residents on the list to be visited that someone they do not know will be on their property and why? Is it really that hard to ask for alittle respect?

Terrible costume service! I will move out from the apartment and I can't cancel my account. I've been trying for the past 5 days. Avoid this company if you can!

The worst power company in the United States. I'm still sitting here with no power and it's been days and days. The house is 100 yards from my neighborhood all have power. You can't get a hold of anyone at PP&l. When it comes to lazy people they win first place.
Update: These people are scumbags. They should be charged with theft because they are still charging people while the power is out. It's day 4 now and while the power was restored to the houses 50 yards away from mine I still have no power along with a couple hundred other people. How is that even possible?? I've never hated anything but I hate this company. They are incompetent idiots. Hopefully I'll have a class action lawsuit put together soon These scumbags will be held liable.

For 20 years, I have been forced to deal with PPL’s garbage infrastructure, insanely high prices, and all around terrible service. Last year, we lost power once every month in my neighborhood.

Yesterday on the 4th of July during the hottest week of the year to date, we not only lost power but they’re telling us that it will be restored by 11pm on the 8th. That is nearly 5 nights without power. It is unacceptable in 2026 to put customers through this sick monopoly.

And by the way, they not only refuse to discount customers for all of the time they aren’t supplying power or the aggravation and misery it causes, they tend to charge more in that next bill.

Shut us off during a heat wave. My moms is a cancer patient and my brothers need the electric for summer school. Our $500 worth of groceries went bad. We're on a plan and paid as much as we can. We only get $1000 a month and that goes towards rent. We were told as long as something is paid they wouldn't turn us off but did anyways. Worse electric company ever. Never had this problem.

Took, 6 telephone calls to change supplier

Not one represents had decent command of English language

Was transferred multiple times

One rep hung up

Gave a rep my address of service FOUR times, told me it was incomplete & wrong, I know our address

Was informed last week, service would be switched today

Just told it was delayed, now must pay increased rate

Extremely frustrating & time consuming

Unacceptable!

My electric bill has all but doubled for same service as before I hope you crooks burn in hell taking food out of struggling families mouths

PP&L is a reliable electric distributor (5 stars) but their online customer interface is absolutely worthless (1 star).

When I tried to log in, it simply went around in circles with me by blanking out my user ID and password. It did NOT tell me my user ID or password was invalid, it just blanked them out. I tried in three different browsers and got the same trash.

When I complained to the Better Business Bureau, PP&L first deleted my account so I could create a new one, which I did. This did not fix the problem. Then it said it would open a ticket with its IT department, and that was the last I heard of the matter. When I tried again today, I got exactly the same problem.

Just to be sure I am being fair about this, I tried not only Chrome but also Brave.

UPDATE March 12; the problem appears to have been corrected but it took a long time.

You people are scumbags. You know you are scumbags. You do not care that you are scumbags. Hope you are proud of the world you are leaving behind for your children. You are theiving degenerates, possessed by greed.

The company can start by hireing human beings, your computer system sucks, ive call 7 times to fix my bill and wad hung up on. Im not getting my bills on time and trying to pay them only to be hung up on, then get charged late fees.

Constant outages with long repair times. Going hours and hours without electricity. This is ridiculous. Why can't you hire people to review trees that are ready to fall down and create a problem. This is insane. My power goes out at least 4 to 5 times per month for several hours. I work from home which obviously I don't get paid when I can't work but I don't think that you care about that because this problem has been going on for years without a resolution. I'm a senior citizen going hours and hours with no heat. PP&L does not care.

Made a payment with PPL and it’s been over 6 days , and it still hasn’t posted to my bill. Called customer service it had to wait 40 minutes to talk to an agent. Totally absurd and ridiculous, for the money they make providing electric for the Public. Sign of the times with a billionaire and convicted FELON as president of the United States of ( un )America.

Outsourcing their customer service to over sea Indians. Who dont care 1 bit about what is going on and lie about helping or taking care of something so you have to call back multiple times until they pretty much tell you tough S*%t. Hate this company so much. Reported them to Public utilities commission for illegal activities on my account

Daily power outages, is the norm for the last several years with nothing being done to fix this. Big storms outages for days and sometimes when the weather is fine. No rhym or reason at this point just not maintained or kept up despite the prices going up.

So I got laid off about 3 weeks ago. At that point in time I owed money to PP&l. And I was told I could set up a payment plan but I had moved and I had to wait until the first billing cycle. I called to make a payment plan which I had before of approximately $80 a month. Initially I was told I could not do that. I pressed the attendant about how I'm supposed to make a $2,000 a month mortgage payment when I'm making $2,000 a month only. And in addition to that, make payments on PP&l bill. She kept telling me that I had no other options. After pressing her are about three times. Finally, I was able to get her to agree to a payment plan. Additionally, the assistant spoke broke in English which made it difficult to understand. I requested the option of automatic withdrawal. Which would make things you would think easier for them and easier for me. I was told I cannot do that. Other organizations like UGI are more than happy to work with you but not PP&l. They have a Monopoly and they treat their customers like crap!

This company is crooked to the core. KU, LGE etc are all crooked liars. They don't care about the people. They care about their overall profit. They take away physical buildings and make it harder for elderly and disabled people to get the help they need. Small towns suffer the most.
