Join us on a Platypus small-group wine tour of the Napa Valley, the Sonoma Valley or the Russian River / Healdsburg wine country! The tour fee is $139 per person. You’ll visit three charming, back-roads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. Our specialty is intimate, light-hearted and truly memorable wineries. This tour is sure to entertain with a very approachable and easy-going style. Discover and savor new experiences tasting some of the world’s most celebrated wines. Our typical guest is not necessarily a wine expert but keen to learn a bit about wine and wine-making, and is open to sharing the experience with a few other like-minded wine adventurers. Napa Valley Girls Trip Highlight!
Our tour guide, Chris, did a wonderful job curating our tour! I feel like he chose thoughtfully and definitely made us feel like he genuinely wanted us to have a great time. He had great relationships with the vineyards/wineries we visited which made for three very personalized tours that we all really enjoyed. Truly top notch!

Not a Wine Connoisseur but LOVE wine!
Not a wine connoisseur so this shared grouped experience is what I was looking for.
Once I booked, the customer service from them was very top. From the emails, texts to the calls to confirm, I thought it was above normal in this age of technology.
They picked me up from my AirBnb which made it easy. Once the Jason arrived, he came out to greet us and confirm all the details for today.
Intro - Jason is a wealth of knowledge. As the guide he gave you a brief history on the valley, some insights into tasting and also really broke the ice for everyone to get along and make new friends for the day.
Seating - I like to call it Limo Style with seat belts. This gives everyone a chance to "talk story" and meet everyone.
Wineries - Platypus loves to take you to off the beaten path wineries. Yes it might be names you don't know but some you have seen.
Today... Bread & Butter (which you seen on shelves...but not the Napa ones); Backstage then to Boegertz
Lunch - Turkey sandwich with quinoa salad, fruit and a snack. This was perfect as helps to absorb some of that wine tasting while not making you tired.
Pro's -
1 - you are not drinking and driving
2 - make new friends
3 - visit wineries I would probably not visit
4 - great way to spend in Wine Country
Work isn't a reward for travel, travel is a reward for working!

We got to visit 3 beautiful wineries and learn about each one and their wines. The rest of our group was very pleasant and friendly.
I would highly recommend platypus tours!

Highly recommend this tour
Highly recommend this tour. After a lot of research we decided to do a tour instead of truing to navigating scheduling and driving to wineries. The 3 we visited were intimate and unique and we wouldn’t have found them on our own. Great memories were made. Thank you!

Very Enjoyable!
We had a great time and appreciated the knowledge of our guide! Nice to not have to worry about choosing wineries from the many choices Napa Valley has to offer, and being able to enjoy the wines without concern with driving.

This was my second time doing a wine…
This was my second time doing a wine tour with Platypus Tours and my family’s first time. We all had a great time! Courtney was such a delight! So fun yet safe and knowledgeable. She took us to 3 beautiful wineries that had very different atmospheres and stories. We had a fantastic day!

Overall it was a nice and enjoyable experience. Since there are so many wineries, it would be nice to visit more of the wineries. While lunch was good, having options to choose from would be nice. Our tour guide was informative and pleasant.
