Join us on a Platypus small-group wine tour of the Napa Valley, the Sonoma Valley or the Russian River / Healdsburg wine country! The tour fee is $139 per person. You’ll visit three charming, back-roads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. Our specialty is intimate, light-hearted and truly memorable wineries. This tour is sure to entertain with a very approachable and easy-going style. Discover and savor new experiences tasting some of the world’s most celebrated wines. Our typical guest is not necessarily a wine expert but keen to learn a bit about wine and wine-making, and is open to sharing the experience with a few other like-minded wine adventurers. Sonoma tastings
Liked that we visited 3 locations and it was great to meet with a winemaker directly. 2 of the tastings felt very personal meeting at family homes. Would have liked a little more wine education from our driver, he seemed to be more reserved. Not a terrible thing. Appreciated the ability to buy a wine box. Overall a very fun and relaxed day.

Idyllic Day in Napa
Our guide, Jason, picked us up at our hotel. The rest of the day continued to be absolutely wonderful. Platypus Tours gave us first-timers the wine tour we had always imagined and endless fantastic memories.

My tour was great because of Courtney
My tour was great because of Courtney, our driver. She was kind, and sweet, and she provided us a with a great experience. Each winery was prepared for us ahead of time, and put on a full display for us. I felt special! Also the group that we met on the bus was awesome, and we made some great friendships. I will do this again the next time I visit.

Great Tour. Highly Recommended
We had a great experience with our guide, Gary. We visited three boutique wineries that we never would have found on our own. The knowledge Gary brought to the trip was greatly appreciated. The lunch midway thru the journey was delicious.

From initial contact to completion of the tour, Platypus Tours were informative, prompt with responses to questions and very professional. Casey, our tour leader, was prompt and extremely knowledgeable of the Sonoma area, the wineries we visited and the wines we tasted. Highly recommended.

Our driver was great as was the first 2 wineries! Especially the first winery! It was worth the winding drive! The third winery was a dud! I would give 5 stars if not for the awful third winery!

Off the beaten path wineries plus personable guide
Friendly staff and knowledgeable and personable tour guide Andy. Also liked exploring slightly off the beaten path wineries vs the big ones, personalized treatment, humble but proud owners and great stories they were willing to share.

Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time wine tasting at three wineries hosted by Jared. It was fun, friendly, and relaxed. The lunch was very delicious. I only wish we could have explored the wineries/vineyards more.

Great tour company
Great tour company. This was our 5th time touring with them. Wonderful guides, excellent vineyards. We will book again next year. We highly recommend them. One thing I would like to see is better riding shuttle buses. Some are better than others.
