I really enjoy this tour. I have now done this twice 1st with Linda on the Napa tour and 2nd with Jared on the Sonoma tour. Both times were great and they took us to beautiful and intimate locations. The company is mindful of vineyards you’ve been to before and tries to take you to other places which I appreciate. I would definitely recommend.

We really liked Andy and had a nice time overall. However it was advertised as a small group tour of 8-10 and ended up being 15 people — because we were first pick up and last drop off it was 2 hours of driving picking people up before we got to a winery and same with drop off. Also ended up being a 9 hour trip all in rather than the approximately 6.5 hours listed because of all the driving time.

Knowledgeable and experienced driver for an amazingly fun group tour. Great other guests, we were all enjoying each other from the get go and were friends by the end. Excellent smaller vineyards with wonderful winemakers plus a more ‘commercial’ / bigger winemaker but with snacks and gelato! All good wines, excellent box lunch and plenty of water.

Good leader, good wineries

Our driver was amazingly friendly, full or energy and knowledge. Flexible when my wife got bitten by a bee to get us back hotel

Casey was our tour guide and he was wonderful! He mapped out three different wineries for us and they all had their own special feel. They were all close in proximity where we could maximize our time at each winery and he had our last stop in the hottest part of the day at a winery with a cave which was so cool, literally and figuratively! He was very knowledgeable with wine and had some great stories to tell. I would absolutely do this tour again.

I had a great time! Jason was friendly,
quite knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. Pick up from my hotel was right on time. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. The complimentary bottled ice water was a nice touch. I was a solo traveler, and I ended up with a great group of 5 couples. We visited three small wineries and the wines were amazing. Lunch was delicious. I wanted more quinoa. Sooo good! I highly recommend the tour!!

Our Platypus wine tour was just what we wanted for our excursion to Napa. We visited three small wineries, which gave us an intimate, very informative experience. We were able to speak with the winemakers directly, walk through the vineyards, and taste some spectacular wines and olive oils. Our driver, Steve, was very helpful and informative and shared some history of the valley, the local wine industry, and the individual wineries. The people in our small group were all friendly. It was a great way to spend our day!

Gary - the tour guide/driver - was very welcoming! He said, and turned out to be correct, that our group (4 couples) would end up being a family by the end of the trip. We started out with a stop at Loxton Cellers where we met Chris Loxton. Chris is one of the most wine-knowledgeable people I have ever met with a great presentation talent! Then we went to Deerfield Ranch Winery where we saw amazing wine-storing caves! Final stop was at Ty Caton Vineyards. All wineries had great wine tastings. This was a great memory-making event.

As usual, we had a fantastic wine tour and Jason was a great guide and a lot of fun! The wineries were all great and always have a great experience with Platypus Tours.

We previously used Platypus and had a wonderful tour. However, this time we were not impressed with the mix of wineries visited compared to our prior tour. None were very impressive this time. Other than the wineries themselves not being very interesting, the tour was good.

2nd tour and no disappointments. Friendly drivers!

Gary made this an excellent tour. He is knowledgeable about the wine and the wineries that we visited. His relationship with the wineries we visited added value to the tour and made it go smoothly.

My second trip to Napa Valley, and second time taking the Platypus Tour; stopping at 3 local vineyards and one with lunch. Small group + great guide/driver = fantastic experience! Just book.
