We've spent an awesome day in the Napa Valley with great, small winerys and amazing wines 🤩

Chris was a super driver/guide with a big wine knowledge and took care of us the whole day, we really appreciated that! Also our group was fantastic and not too big.

Loved the small group tour - got to meet some fun people and really enjoyed the wineries that Richard Casey picked for us. I would highly recommend - everything ran very smooth!.

We had a great time on our tour! We were unsure where to start with all of the fantastic wineries Sonoma has to offer, so this turned out to be an excellent choice! Louis was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was great that the tour allows the guides to pick the wineries, because you know that aren't going to be taken somewhere they wouldn't want to go. Each winery gave us a unique experience with different varieties. Louis had a ton of great information and went the extra mile to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves!

Steve was an awesome tour guide! He was so knowledgeable about the wine process and chose some excellent wineries to tour.

Our bus driver was very informative and entertaining.

second, we enjoyed very much the 3 wineries that we attended. each of the hosts were very knowledgeable and pleasant.

lovely tour. however i wish they provided more wine or let us drink the bottles we purchased. it was repetitive to see the barrel room of all the vineyards.

Wonderful tour. We went to 3 amazing wineries that we probably would’ve never seen on our trip if it weren’t for our lovely guide that day. We had such a good time, we ended up with bottles from all 3 wineries and with a wine membership! We loved the wineries he chose and we can’t wait to book another trip with Platypus Tours!

Our driver was amazing as was the small vineyards that we visited. They went far and beyond to give us not just wine tasting but amazing information and guidance in what goes into wine making.

I've been on other wine tours and this one by far was the best.

We travelled with this group twice and found them knowledgeable, organized and familiar with different types of vineyards.

Our tour was incredible and our tour guide was incredible ( I am literally drawing a blank on her name right now- I am so sorry. ) But she was so much fun and really personable.

My Parents and I had a great time. Andy was very knowledgeable about the Napa and Sonoma area and provided information about grapes, soils, regions, and suggested other wineries to try for our second day. The Tours of the wineries and curated tastings felt unique and personal from the staff. I would recommend this experience to anyone new to the area before venturing out to try others on your own, plus you have a designated driver.

Though a bit of a silly name (Platypus is an homage to the Aussie founder, I believe), there certainly wasn't anything silly about a near perfect day with Casey, our driver and guide. Picked up (early) at our hotel in Sonoma mid-morning, we picked up four other couples and proceeded to a boutique spin-off of a corporate winery - nice tasting room, decent wines and great art work, Imagery Winery was a good start to the day. The second winery, Loxton, was the highlight of the tour, as the husband, wife and one employee worked a 5 acre farm with all the values and considerations that makes them a stand-out of "Doing things the right way". We finished at Wellington, another, though larger producer, with pride and excellence, a hallmark of their beautiful setting and capable wines. Of special note, an excellent box lunch, made in Platypus' kitchens, was had out doors at Loxton. I like that the company keeps track of their guests, so they assure you of not going back to one of the 30+ wineries they visit - I also like that the driver picks the wineries for the day, and our excellent guide/driver/local/good guy chose wineries in close proximity, thus spending our time tasting on a relaxed schedule. A great value for a full day of comfort, convenience and conviviality. Having to pay tasting fees (or buying wine to waive the fee) was not overwhelming - in fact, there was never pressure to buy. Overall, an exceptional bargain for a perfect day in a remarkable place.

Terrific experience and fun and driver Jason was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. He expertly provided information and kept us on time with great suggestions on how to enjoy each winery and send wine via mail. Great job, great adventure and highly recommended. We will definitely be coming back.
