It is a good system if you are an alert individual that just forgets meds once in awhile. I bought it for my mother that lives with me and its not quite enough. She is not tech savvy and doesn't use a phone. All the alerts come to my phone. She can't hear so I had to buy a watch in addition To pilldrill that vibrates. If multiple people in same house need help it wouldn't work.

I love this product. It allows me to monitor my family member and their medication routine without having to hover. When I receive a notification, I am able to respond quickly if needed. It allows me to have peace of mind that my loved one is on ttack without having to be present.

Good device and still evaluating it. There are few glitches in terms of selecting new hub while on move. Also hub needs 24*7 internet connectivity to function.
Product is good and useful for tracking medication of elderly patient.

Helps me track my Dad’s medication compliance. It’s easy to use and I like that my sister can monitor him, too.

The system is great! I get notifications when Mom takes her meds. If she is late or forgets her meds I call and remind her. PillDrill gives me peace of mind, since Mom lives 400 miles from me.

Our PillDrill hub was not working properly. Chris at customer service was awesome! He had a new hub sent out to us with paid shipping to send the other hub back. The new hub is working great. Thank you for prompt, great service!

Knocking it down to 4 stars because of the lack of setup details. Had to contact support to get details that should have been given in the documentation.

My suggestion is to update the documentation to say that you should use only pillpods OR tags. Not both.

Great tool when you need to monitor the successful dosages of a loved one. It is easy to setup alerts, automatic notifications, review progress and make adjustments as needed.

The auditory alerts are a great reminder for the patient, without turning the caregiver into a bad guy, it's the machine doing the reminding.

On my future wishlist is an audio warning for the patient if they are taking the wrong pill fob/canister. An audio no no? So far, this is excellent investment, returning the time spent in handling pills and doses.

I previously used another medication tracking system (silver mother by Sen.se) it was a disaster and much more expensive. PillDrill is excellent and does all the things the other systems don't. I have found it very easy to use and reliable. Their support is first rate, almost instant replies and very helpful.
If you looking for a medication tracker that enables your family to monitor your status in real time, look no further than this.
They currently support SMS notifications in Australia and the US only, expanding this to other major country's should be their top priority.

This device has been great for me. It reminds me daily to take my medication. However I also like the ancillary features like the mood cube, logging symptoms and adding notes so I can keep a record of what’s going on w my health. I highly recommend it. I work in IT so setup was a breeze. However, if you aren’t a computer aficionado I’d recommend finding a friend or family member to help you pair it with your WiFi and setup the phone app.

I love the idea of the PillDrill. Prior to PillDrill I was using pill strips locked into a base where I am able to take my daily meds with me in a secure and compact manner. I purchased the PillDrill hoping to improve my med tracking as well as tracking symptoms. I not only purchased the "base" product, but I also needed to add 2 additional strips for doses 3 & 4, as well as purchasing M-Z scanning tags. Unfortunately, the shipping process didn't go over so well for me. I had it delivered to my PO Box since that is most secure, and the website did not require a physical address to ship to. I had received notification that my device had been delivered, but it was nowhere to be found. Customer Service was very responsive and willing to listen and work out the shipping problems.

Pros:
-I love that I can track my symptoms and meds in one app.
-The pill pods hold all of my meds with room to spare.
-It is easy to scan as I take my meds.
-Fairly straightforward setup process.
-Ability to add symptoms to track on the app.

Cons:
-The weekly pill strips are so bulky.
-There isn't a locking mechanism to keep each strip together. There's a way to attach 3 & 4 to 1 & 2, but since they don't lock in place, I have dropped the strips constantly.
-There isn't a sufficient locking mechanism for each pod. I'm usually out of my apartment all day, therefore I need to have all 4 pods with me. It isn't very convenient for a grab & go situation. The blue lids on the pods are so easy to open during transit, causing meds to fall out. Thankfully I am clear minded enough to know which meds I take when, but it defeats the purpose of a pill box.
-Setup takes time. When you add a new scheduled med, you set the time of day, the dosing window and name of the med. It would be nice for the app to require a strength after you enter the med name. I have some meds with the same name but different dosages I take during the day. Ex. 75mg 7am & 150mg 5pm. In order to properly track my meds, I had to add the mgs.
-Limitations on how to schedule meds. You can schedule repeats, one offs, etc. but it doesn't allow for "alternative" schedules. Ex. I take one med every other day. There is not an option to have that "every other day" schedule. I'm still experimenting on what works best for me...adding a scanning tab to the rx or choosing 3 days a week to put in a pod vs every other day.
-The Hub alarm can't be customized other than volume (Low Med Hi) and it beeps much too often in a short span of time. A "snooze button" would be nice.
-It would be nice to add “customized” symptoms. They offer to add symptoms, but only if it’s on their list.

Again, I love the idea here. But I'm not sure if this is the best option for me at the moment. Even if I went back to my other pill box and used the Hub, I'd still be out for the 4 weekly pill strips. Maybe I'm the wrong demographic for this? I can't speak on the family involvement/notification aspect since I'm the one tracking my meds & symptoms. I could see this beneficial when caring for others. They can still have their independence, but family can still keep in contact.

The pill drill is a wonderful thing for my mother, it maintains her independence and her self respect as well as ensuring I can keep track of when she is taking her medications. A win win for all, thank you

This system is good on premise, however I have not seen the updates they promised when i was deciding whether to keep it or not. In July of 2017 i was told there was an update coming out in two weeks.

My 91 year old Dad has dementia and PillDrill works great for him as long as I only use it for pills. Attaching scanning letters to any other meds only confused him and his success rate went way down. I also like the feature that changes the med routine one day a week. We roll early on Sundays, and changing the time for one morning dose is very convenient. Thank you PillDrill. You are a gamechanger!

It makes my life easier and safer. A great burden has been taken off me by my trusty Pill Drill hub. I can now carry on living knowing that I have 'mother hub' reminding me to TAKE YOUR BLOODY PILLS!

This product is the best thing that could have possibly happened to my medication routine. I honestly don't have a single complaint. I'm not kidding. It's really just that good. Great customer service as well. It's so refreshing to see a good product sold by a good company with good people.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending PillDrill to anyone who needs to keep track of the very important task of maintaining their regular medication routine.

The combination of this device and the custom tags are a good solution for enabling me to track my regimen and remind me to follow a routine. It is a little difficult to setup and somewhat reliable when you go to scan each of the tags everytime you have to use a product. There should be an easier way to know when I have picked up a product to use vs me having to find the hub and scan a tag.

I've been using PillDrill quite a while, almost a year. The tech support is great. Just my pills are now too big and too numerous to fit in the pillbox part of the device. The tagging system I still use, but the hub has had quite a few glitches in registering my meds in the app (I primarily use that because sometimes I'm out of the house or the hub is across the room or upstairs when I take my medicine. Overall, I still like it and think it was a value for what I paid but I've moved to another system that works better for me.
