I posted a pocket watch valued at £40…
I posted a pocket watch valued at £40 into a Royal Mail parcel force drop off locker at my local supermarket.
I scan the parcel and entered my email address for a receipt.
A door opened on the locker and I put the parcel in. That was the last time I saw it and I never received an email receipt and the parcel has never been delivered. I have tried to log a complaint and a claim but Royal Mail just tie you up in nots so they make it impossible to claim. Please do NOT use them if you want your parcel delivered.
Two packages failed to deliver in a week
Absolute joke. I have TWO SEPERATE DELIVERIES in a single week, which have BOTH failed to deliver. First package was delayed by 3 days (24hr tracked apparently) and sent to the wrong address and through someone else's letterbox, and I cannot recover it. RM will "investigate" and retrieve the item back, but realistically is impossible.
So I decided to reorder the item that THEY lost.
Second package, they said they "attempted" to deliver, but no knock, doorbell ring or even the attempted delivery card. They decided that they could not leave it in a letterbox, and now I have to wait another day for a 24hr tracked package. Two times in a week, where RM failed to do its job.
Tracked 48 - hours or days?

5 days after arriving at the Swindon depot my laptop is now back in Swindon. Now my eBay buyer is upset since he was expecting the laptop days ago.
POOR
Purchased items which were sent to me by Royal Mail special delivery which is by 1pm next day, items due yesterday, got email to say they would be delivered that day, didn’t arrive, no update or movement on the tracking, contacting them by phone you’ve at least a half hour on hold, day 2, email to say they would be delivered 10.10-1.10 although special delivery stated by 1pm, another no show, finally showed up at 2.15, 2 friends sent me cards by 1st class which took a week to arrive, nice postman but the service from Royal Mail is absolutely shocking !!

If i could give a 0 star rating i would. I was left a missed delivery card, even though i was home. I ran downstairs and waited by the postvan for 15mins, but the postperson didn't come back. I left a not saying that i was actually home, but its been almost 2hours and even though the van is there still my parcels have not been delivered! On a different day, with a different postperson, my parcels would have been popped outside my front door or left in foyer. But now i have to hope tomorrows postperson will leave the parcels as i won't be here to receive them. The service is inconsistent and in some cases non existent. Shame on you royal mail
What's the point in having 24hr tracked…
What's the point in having 24hr tracked service, say your gonna deliver between certain times then just not show up, no update on app nothing. So irratating.
You have one job and that's to deliver...

What went wrong this time? Same as what went wrong countless other times! Parcels never arrive, they get lost in transit, there’s never anybody to speak to, the phones cut off just when you think there’s a slight chance that you can actually talk to someone, when you do manage to converse with someone their command of English is zilch … 😡
Ever sent anything via ParcelForce that’s mysteriously disappeared? I have on three separate occasions, again, couldn’t speak to anyone, had to send emails … ever tried to get your money back? It’d be easier to rob a bank! I’m owed two lots of courier costs with PF, they’re about as good as a glass eye in a fog, in fact I believe they are a glass eye in a fog. If you do phone in, and why waste your time? but the blurb at the start of the automated carousel states that it’s the King’s Royal Mail … well, the king would have a pink fit if he only knew the chaos and mayhem that he’s had his title attached to! Honestly, it’s all nonsense … and one of my latest parcels has been returned to Holland! Surely it’d have been far simpler just to deliver it to me? I’ve only been waiting a month … tracking was a pointless exercise too, kept going round in circles and didn’t actually tell me anything I wasn’t already aware of MY PARCEL HAS BEEN LOST YET AGAIN!!! 🤬 Furious of Norwich

Bunch of liars. Claiming I was out when he attempted delivery (in Whitby, North Yorkshire). I was the one who let him into the block of flats!!!!! Then he claims I was out? They are a bunch of lying lazy toads.
TOIL MAIL, pay extra for a service not even provided and work hard to find out where your parcel is!
I bought an item on Friday, I paid an extra £4.00 for delivery for my item to be delivered 24 hour tracked, so the next day basically, which was going to be a Saturday. No delivery, no explanation, no updates, absolutely nothing. The delivery office is open for 2 hours each day, what good is that to people? This is a company serving themselves, not the customers. I tracked the item myself, the number issued from the company I bought off. The company sent the item, hours after I bought it, 'Royal' mail, and I use the term very very loosely, because there's absolutely nothing Royal about this company, have done absolutely nothing to deliver it, not even an attempted delivery, even though they word it as though they have, to make their figures look good. NO delivery or attempted delivery has been made, so it's sat in the delivery office somewhere, which isn't open, doing nothing, and I need it for an event. They just say on the tracking we were unable to delivery, what a complete load of sh1te, it's marked as pending. I also have cameras, 'Royal Mail' no where to be seen, complete laziness and coplacency with customers paid for items. They couldn't give a sh1te basically!!! But they're happy to take your money send pay extra fir a service they are not even providing, absolute Rob dogs!!! They should be called TOIL MAIL, because customers have to TOIL to find out where their parcels are. Absolute joke!!!
Don’t feel hijacked. Dont go to the post office to collect
There isn’t any 0 or negative here and it’s quite clear that people would have chosen that. Licence if this company should be taken away as it’s a stigma to doing any business. Standard operating process of both Royal Mail and parcel force is that they just send you email that they attempted delivery and no one was at home. I have seen this everytine as my door monitor also has a log and they never come. I have decided that I will not collect the item form the post office going forward. That’s the only way suppliers will disassociate themselves from such unprofessional delivery partners.

Pretending to attempt to deliver parcels
Royal mail used to be a decent company to send parcels with, but I feel lately that they have gone down hill, as they cannot cope with demand.
Trying to "fake" meet quotas, by saying delivery attempted, is wrong in so many ways. When I was at home waiting for delivery, and nobody even knocks or leave a card.
Getting beyond a joke when you then get notimitations saying parcel delivery attempted. Get your act together Royal mail..it's ridiculous.

Service without service
At a total lost why our great political friends sold off a piece of British heritage they have no shame only interested in themselves. Sent a parcel from Scotland to Derby rural area . The added they said was wrong when in fact 100 percent correct. Spoke with an agent this morning said it would be delivered today from the Nottingham hub never happened is being sent back to me . The Royal Mail is in a mess it needs serious attention there customer service is a shambles . Are the UK government just let this great service go the way of some of the dubious courier services run by companies outside the UK . Unbelievable.
6 months, now a rotten service
Royal mail Tracked 24 to Leeds centre now a 3 working day post, tracked 48 has been between next day and 7 day delivery.
The service in the last 6 months has gone down hill so fast, I have now officially had enough and as of this morning i closed my account with you after 5 years.
I love the fact that the customer care…
I love the fact that the customer care number says we're very busy at the moment and thank you very much for being patient and kind to our members of staff as we have understaffed the call centre and your call will take 25 minutes or more please don't shout at anybody. If you're really upset by our choice of making money over providing good customer services we don't want to hear.
Terrible
Terrible. Every time I use them or a company delivers with them there is an issue. The most reliably unreliable postal and package company inth UK. Often claim items are undeliverable on days I have not left the house. No missed delivery cards ever received in those instances. Just the worst. All other delivery companies seem capable of getting a package to us...
Awful service
Awful service. Posting items 48hrs tracked and tracking is taking around a week to show any movement. Items are also being lost. Trying to contact someone on the website to query these problems is a waste of time as they aren't interested and you just get the same response that if it hasn't arrived within 10 days you can claim. I want a service i can trust and get the service i pay for but definitely not getting this from Royal Mail.
Really awful - again
Really awful again. They lost the first order I placed and ignored my delivery instructions to leave the replacement order in a safe place. The tracking system isn’t fit for purpose.
