I wanted to share my experience with Optima IT as it hasn’t been what I expected.

I enrolled onto one of their training programmes with the intention of progressing into tech, and at the point of sign-up everything sounded promising. However, after enrolling, I didn’t engage with the course beyond the very early stages and did not complete any of the coursework.

What stood out to me is that despite having no real engagement, I was never contacted by a tutor or anyone from the team to check on my progress or see why I wasn’t attending. For a paid training programme, I would have expected at least some level of follow-up or support, especially when there is no activity.

The course itself appeared to be largely self-directed, with instructions to set up platforms and attend scheduled sessions, but without any meaningful interaction or guidance in my case.

I fully accept that I signed up to the course, however I do feel that there should be a fairer approach where a student has not engaged with or benefited from the service. I am not seeking a refund of what I’ve already paid, but I am currently still being held liable for the full remaining balance, which I don’t feel reflects the situation.

Overall, I would just advise anyone considering this to fully understand how the course is delivered and what level of support you can realistically expect before committing. Please make sure it’s 100% what you want before choosing to go into thousands of pounds worth of debt because there is no support from them!

It really is amazing. Fantastic services friendly and very helpful. I recommend to everyone and anyone ten out of ten.

Optima has been amazing. I completed my Azure course and so far successfully completed 2 exams within a year. I have had great support from the Optima team and would highly recommend!!! My background was not in IT or Cloud Computing but Mechanical Engineering. I wanted to try something new; as I am sure a lot of people do. I was scared at first because I did not have confidence in myself. However with great support I have enjoyed it very much!!! I am not saying its easy; you get out what you put in study wise but everyone is there to help!!!

I’m currently attending the project sessions at Google Cloud Academy, and they’ve been very valuable. Our instructor, Kim, is incredibly patient and actively helps us solve problems. She provides the advice and tips we need to gain hands-on skills, which is also great preparation for our exam scenarios. Kim’s enthusiasm and constructive feedback make every session worth it. Thank you!!

Kim Brook is an amazing teacher, smart, informative and I’m great I met her, she’s taught me a lot of things!

Still yet to start the CompTia+ however my dealings with Soyhan has been phenomenal, guided and helped me along the way and introduced me into a webinar from Optima which was fantastic. Soyhan was very polite, courteous and recognised my needs. Give them a pay rise! A*

Optima IT is an outstanding IT training organisation that runs activities almost every day of the week, ensuring trainees stay well-equipped for real industry demands. The structured support and hands-on approach make a real difference. Kim Brook is always ready to help—especially when it comes to getting projects up and running. Truly commendable support. Kudos!

Their training and support is at best. And to get on job quickly into desired field the career pathway they provide is very good. Pursuing cyber pathway with them now and all things are at best level including all training for certs, quick support plus learn at own pace dont have to rush things out. Do contact them they are the one to come to for IT.

My first exposure to creating an App using AI agents was during a project session with Kim Brook. I was very much a newbie to this area but Kim explained everything in a easy to understand way and made the process of creating an app so easy. With Kim's guidance I have been able to create an app (not yet finished) that does a lot more than I could have imagined and the confidence/experience it has given to me is invaluable.

Great experience and community feel with Optima. Excellent level of instruction and well structured courses with extra curricular classes to accomodate all backgrounds. Kim is extremely helpful and provided me with a good direction and pathway after deciding on a career change into the cloud using great experience and understanding of students needs from all angles. Highly recommended.

Kim Brook co-ordinates the mentor support of cloud technology training programs. At regular intervals the mentors get together to assign classes, fix schedules and address issues that may arise. Kim is always forceful yet empathetic with all of our mentor group and manages the issues quickly and effectively.

Was struggling to get into AWS account.
With help from Zoe she fixed my first issue and was able to fix the above issue within our time frame.
Zoe's professionalism and friendliness make the call pleasant.
Having with issues rectified by Zoe made the day as I was able to get to into AWS skillbuilder and imbed my learning.

I had done a cohoot through august to september of 2024 but unfornetley i had to work the classe going on, it made it hard to catch up on the labs. The theory i understand but not the practical. What do i do. Since it has been a year and plus since that cohoot ?

Great tutorials, helped grasp the fundamentals and concepts Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking. Good support through out
