Transfers canceled with no notice. limit on the money I can move out though there's no limit on the amount of money I can move in. I'm moving my money out of this bank as fast as I can and I would advise you to do the same.

I am under contract to close on a house purchase this week. I need cash for closing and transferred MY money from my OpenBank HYS account to the external bank account linked to my account. IT DID NOT ARRIVE!!!!

I spent over 75 minutes and 2 days on the phone with OpenBank representatives only to have the "manager" refuse to even expedite the claim... much less remedy this situation.
I am halfway out of my home with a closing date on what is supposed to be my new home in 3 days, and OpenBank has lost my money!!!!!! And without a care!

DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR MONEY WITH THIS INSTITUTION!!!!!

I was very disappointed with my time with Openbank. They cut my interest rate within 3 months of having an account.
They bait you with a a good rate and then drop the rate after 3 months. I have noticed similar complaints from other customers

If you decide to close your account you are going to have a hard time. They will not close your account, instead the will ask you to transfer the money yourself. Big hassle. They will take your money right away when you transfer in. However, when you need the money good luck.

Llevo unos 6 meses recibiendo avisos por supuestos intentos de fraude; me han hecho cambiar las claves innumerables veces; he tenido que cerrar dos cuentas y abrir una nueva, en la que ha habido otro intento de acceso. Como consecuencia, me han bloqueado la cuenta y se niegan a desbloquearla "porque están estudiando el caso", y mientras tanto, mi dinero bloqueado por SU culpa. Si algún día consigo recuperarlo, por supuesto, cuenta cerrada.

They opened a new account and then told me that they did not want my business and were closing my account without providing a reason. It has been 30 days and they STILL HAVE NOT RETURNED my 5 figure deposit. They say it could take up to 90 days to return my money. CAVEAT EMPTOR. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau.

Igual yo tuve un robo fraude fishing soy cliente de openbank me robaron 3,000€ primera vez en mi vida tonta yo cai un sms era con las siglas del banco igual dijo el mensaje hay alguien dice que en tu cuenta hay un cobro x ese vslor de 3,000€dinero debes verlo...asi yo mire si lo era .despues el mismo que seria empleado tal vez del banco? O no? Me pidio mis datos tonta yo cai di mis datos.y me robo dinero..pense fuera verdad? Denuncie en comisaria para nada segui lps pasos de llevarles mi denuncia pense me devolverian y nada luego vi despues de un año con 3 meses no tuve ninguna noticias fui a denunciarlo en el juzgado y menos tuve noticias de un mes.hasta hoy nada asi se anuncuan de ser un banco serio? Que protejen al cliente? Son fakes falso.salio una ley en 2025:que el supremo confirma los banvos deben devolver el dinero robado fishing al cliente de inmediato..y nada no hacen ni caso..son mudos.no se dejen engañar gente por muy byenas inversiones que tengan este mafioso openbank de estafadores pura publicidad..es para recuperar cluentes que han perdido..creo por su culpa..de desatender desprotejer a clientesojala les pasen a ellos igual o pror que a nosotros padezcan fishing en mas cantidades

Beware of opening an account with Open Bank if you have a trust. They will not allow you to make your trust the owner of the account nor will they allow you to make your trust a beneficiary. Mind boggling. I closed my account today because of this, despite them offering one of the highest savings interest rates. Oh, and their customer service agents are rude and unhelpful.

I would have to agree with these reviews about having access to your money. I wish I read these reviews sooner. I opened a savings account which was pretty easy to do. Then I transferred started my transfer on March 18. It's now March 25 and being told to wait another 2-3 days. I plan on pulling my money out ASAP once it clears and go else where with a slightly lower savings rate.

Tried signing up for account multiple time using my PC but kept getting 'cannot open account at this time". Glad I read online reviews about this company and will not be applying for an account with them ever. Thanks Trustpilot.

I needed my money for a down payment on a home purchase. Unfortunately the day before closing, I found out they don't do wire transfers! What bank doesn't do wire transfers???? Told them to close my account and send my money. I was told they would overnight my funds but what I wasn't told was there was a 4 business day review process before funds would be sent. It took 8 very stressful days to get my money. I called every day to find out when I would have my money and got a different story each time I called. The home seller was furious for missing my closing date and I almost lost out on the home purchase. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

The app is terrible. I opened my account 2 days ago and will already be closing it. Also it takes 4 days for a transfer to become available. The rate may look good but with the delay of funds availability and the very limited app functionality it is not worth it. So disappointing….

I was a victim of fraud and the hacker unknown to me told me I needed to move all my cash assets to another account so they couldn't be stolen. Long story short I moved $6800 from Open Bank/Santander to a fraudulant account not knowing that the Chase Fraud agent I was dealing with was the hacker. Open Bank never once requested any documentation of the incident that I had on file, as well as police report. After approximately 20 days after the transfer stop had been requested they told me because I willingly transferred the money they were not going to do anything, or make any attempt to help recover my loss. Again, Open Bank/Santander never once requested any documentation of the incident what so ever. Every time I called them would have to re-explain everything even though I had a case number? Poor customer service.

I tried to work with Openbank because of a "perk" offered by Verizon Wireless. When I first tried to open an account, I never received a verification SMS until long after it had expired. I tried again, same thing. I tried again several days later and had a similar experience.

I finally was able to open the account, but due to continuing problems with SMS codes not coming in a timely way, I have been unable to register my phone with them or manage the account at their website.

I've used other online banks like Ally and Lending Club and they are far superior.

Openbank/Santander have some very serious technology problems and I would not waste your time trying to work with them.

I have also notified Verizon Wireless about these problems and I hope they will rethink their partnership with Openbank.

Als je geld van je rekening naar een Nederlandse bank wilt overboeken gaat dat razend snel met een ook nog eens kosteloze instant overboeking.
Dit gebeurt overigens ook nog eens op een zeer veilige manier met je electronische handtekening en met de nodige waarschuwingen vooraf.

I read all the poor reciews and decide to use HYS at Openbank anyway. Mistake!
Had to use micro deposits to verify my Creditunion which the app recognized but would still not verify. Took many baby steps sending money back and forth to be sure everything was ok before loading $40,000 into Open bank. Things worked normally for 4 months then one day open bank would not recognize my Creditunion! No changed mad on my end. I could not send money into my open bank account at all. Thank god I could still send money back to my Creditunion. I can’t imagine trying to get my money back if the software had glitched that also. Do not use this bank unless you like jumping three Hopps and praying!!

I was happy with this bank except for when I wanted to close the account. I had to do it via phone. OK, I can see how that might be important with fraud issues abounding and what not. The rep said that I had to move the yet-to-be-credited interest out within three days in order for the account to be closed. I tried. Got an error message. Tried again. Error message. The system would not let me move the money (and it was a tidy sum of interest, mind you). I called. The rep said I was trying to move it too soon, and try the next day. Next day: error message (same one). Tried it on the web (not the app). Same error message. Called again. The rep said there's a problem with their system and that they have to mail the check, that it would take up to three weeks. WOW. No wonder their rating is so low. It all makes sense now. Mind you: never had an issue putting the money IN. The app never failed to do THAT. Only when I tried closing the account.
