I've been a customer with OnlyCurls for maybe around 10 years now. I really like their products, they suit my hair better than other brands I've tried.
However I'm really dissapointed in the change from 1 litre bottles costing £50, to 500ml refills that cost £30. This increases the amount of times I have to order, works out more expensive over the year, and also increases complete packing waste and delivery frequency, which then increases my carbon footprint. As someone who's environmentally conscious, I find this incredibly frustrating.
There is a subscribe and save option which is cheaper (£25), but the delivery interval for re-delivering is 8 weeks. A 500ml pouch is more likely to last me around 12 weeks, so the subscribe option doesn't match my usage amount. I don’t have the time/energy spare to have to remember to repeatedly cancel or adjust orders just to avoid over-buying.
I understand that they have changed to using a sugarcane derived bio-plastic which might explain the decrease in size/increase in cost, and it does have lower carbon emissions prodution than what they were using before, however, the increase in delivery frequency of the products likely offsets at least some of the environmenatal gains.
Also, another minor gripe is the amount of marketing emails I receive - it's almost daily, and it is pretty frustrating. An email a week would be more than enough. I have only remained subscribed because I don't want to miss the occassional deals and offers.
I’ve rated this 3 stars because while I still really like the brand and want to support more sustainable choices, these changes have made me question whether this new system truly benefits long-term, low-consumption customers. I hope Only Curls will consider more flexible delivery intervals or larger refill options in the future.

I have tried the Only Curls products. I would not over rate them but they are okay for certain hair types. My main issue is that after buying the products, I have been consistently hounded via email and various different telephone text messages, advertising their products. When I block the number, another one comes up on a different number. I contacted them twice and twice was told that I would be unsubscribed but it goes on and on. That is what really puts me off buying more. I have never been so bombarded by any other company as much as Only Curls. If you're buying as a gift, one off purchase, be prepared to experience the same. It's bullying, harassing and an invasion of privacy. Either they cant manage their database or it is deliberate. A warning to you all

Have now chased 3 times, no response.
No number to call.
Really really disappointed.

The poor review prompted almost immediate contact and my order was resent with a different courier. Arrived yesterday. I have increased my one star to a three star. The products, I'm happy with, although a bit expensive. The customer service was a real disappointment.

The ingredients include nuts and it’s not stated clear enough on the label, like “not tested on animals” or “silica free”.
Ended up having an allergic reaction on my whole head.

It sort of does what it says on the tin, but not really... Waves disappeared the same evening... do not waste your money please!

I waited and saved to treat myself to some of their products after seeing such impressive results online. However, the 'gentle' shampoo ravaged my scalp, the curl cream is runny and thin and seemed ineffective and the end results were limp and very disappointing. I kept using the products for 3 weeks to see if they took a while to settle and give results as I'd seen in adverts and in socials, but instead they caused my scalp to bleed and itch and burn, and left my hair lank and looking scraggly. Honestly, I get better results with a £2 cream and a mousse off the shelf at the super market. Very disappointed to have wasted so much money and to be left with a sore damaged scalp. I'm sure that these products perhaps work for some people, but buyer beware...they certainly won't work for all. I spent nearly £70 for trial size bottles! Whereas I am now back to my usuals from the supermarket, which cost less than £10 for full size products that cause no irritation and give perfect results.

Products don’t give the results shown in the ads. My hair felt really greasy after washing, and the curl cream and gel made my hair sticky and did not give me defined curls. Won’t be wasting my money on this junk again, will stick to my premium haircare brand.

I have found dealing with this company difficult there communication is non existent there happy to take your money but ignore you when you have an issue and want to return your order ? I ordered the curl girl started kit that was £28 and the mouse for £18 and was delivered on the 22nd of November 2025 order number 1243570 and I attempted to use the products I tried the curl cleanser was hard to get out use a small pea sized amount and it dried my hair out made this like straw had to put a hair mask on that I had to soften my hair then I attempted to use there hydrating curl cream this wouldn’t come out don’t know what wrong the bottles considering the amount of money emailed them asked to return for a refund told them I only used the curl cleanser and only offered me a gift card now why would I want a gift card for products that don’t work and destroyed me hair how can you tell there something wrong with a product without trying this they have ignored my email and there misleading customer saying they give refunds they don’t only offer you a gift card ? I also purchased the little curls started pack as my daughter has really tight curls detangler doesn’t get knots out neither does the conditioner even though I followed all instructions and combed it though so a complete waste of money and only curls won’t respond so aren’t interested in keeping customers happy ? Only curls how are you meant to know something wrong with your products if you can’t try it and sort your bottles out they don’t dispense the products out also I also contact them regarding the mousse as when you try and dispense it it the pump goes down and won’t go back up think they need to find alternative bottle to dispense their product out as there hard to get out so please refund my money as this was a lot of money UPDATE only curls has finally responded and agreed to refund my order which I am very happy about I would say only curls are a expensive brand and I am only being honest about my experience with them there products aren’t for me personally but may be for others and I have found naughty hair care reasonable priced and have just started using them so if anyone is looking for an alternative to only curls this brand are reasonable priced and give you full sized bottle for the price

I have just recently tried the samples and was amazed at how different my hair felt. I am 67 with fine and thinish hair . Khadija recommended products to try and how to use to improve the texture/ thickness and style . I really appreciated her help and purchased the curly range with the mousse and refresher spritz spray. (I also purchased the microfibre towel which I think is thicker than expected and not a bad quality indeed. ) I have used the curly range from a premium expensive brand for years but now leaves my hair really dry and like a birds nest! 😆 The Only Curls products have left my hair amazingly soft and even on the 3rd day I just refresh with a little spritz and tiny bit of mousse on the dry areas.
I am so happy for the first time in a long time, I feel good about my hair.

I really don’t like the checkout process with two different pages upselling me other items. I declined one page and on the second page it wasn’t clear that I’d already paid for my order, so I clicked on the button to pay in a hurry and then spotted a link in small letters underneath to decline offer. Please can only curls take a look at their user experience and make it really clear that you’re purchasing something else. The money is taken straight away without any other checks. I feel ripped off, having now paid for a product I didn’t want.

I recommend these products to anyone who has curly hair, the shampoo and conditioner are lovely, rich and creamy. The hydrating curl cream and gel are a great combo, it has taken a bit of trial and error to get the right quantity and I’m still working on that and sequencing but my curls have never looked better. Wasn’t keen on the oil, didn’t work for me. I have also tried the clarifying shampoo which I love. Only draw back for me is that I can feel the build up of the products and makes my skin flaky - hence trying clarifying shampoo. I would be interested in feedback on mitigating that.
Spent a LOT of money on these products - first time ever after my hair has dried out and gone super frizzy due to perimenopause. Hair feels greasy and weighed down. I feel totally ugly.

I've used Only Curls for a while now, but let's be honest, £18 for a bottle of shampoo is not cheap. Although it lasts ages and I only have to renew a few times a year, I felt so outlandish that I looked for cheaper alternatives.
There are none! For me, anyway. I spent ages shopping around different curly hair ranges, and maybe only using the OC cleanser with another conditioner, various combinations... now, I admitted "defeat" and went back to both the shampoo and conditioner and my hair has breathed a sigh of relief. I forgot it could look and feel this good.
I love these products as well as the content they provide to show you how to care for curls, without gatekeeping and being really insistent on "one size fits all" like a lot of the "curly hair community" can be!
I do use this with various curl cremes/mousses too and it works well in combination with your chosen routine, but for me the cleanser+conditioner combination is a must.
Also, if I use this properly my curls last a whole week.
ALL THIS TO SAY - yes it's expensive, but I think the price is totally justified here. The service is always great, too.
I have just discovered I have wavy hair after the menopause and am learning to embrace it. I still have a lot to learn about managing wavy hair after years of blowdrying and straightening my hair. The products I am using are cleanser, conditioner, curl crème and curl gel they leave my waves defined and soft. I love the way my hair looks and feels after using your products.
I have placed an order on line Friday 24th October to be delivered on Saturday 25th October. As of today 29th October I have not received the items. I would like to cancel my order and have my refund It is impossible to talk to anyone on your customer care line- although I have waited more than 40min on the line several times! It is impossible to cancel the order on the automatic chat line! Such a disappointing customer service from Dunelm! “High volume of calls” is not an acceptable excuse for a wait of 40+min! If the volume of calls are high employ more people! #dunelmuk#disappointment.
