Never use Off Peak Luxury
Never use Off Peak Luxury, always buy direct from the spa/accommodation you intend to visit! My parents purchased a voucher from the company as a gift for my sister's 40th birthday during
the pandemic. We were in and out of lockdowns, still living by covid measures and my sister has been unwell with long covid symptoms since however Off Peak Luxury has refused to extend the voucher. The venue she had planned to go to confirmed that, given the circumstances, they would have honoured the voucher so my pensioner parents very much regret purchasing through Off Peak Luxury. The £270 or so that the voucher cost has clearly gone straight into the pocket of the directors. I understand that when you purchase a voucher through the company you sign up to their terms but with no outlay from the company bar admin costs which my sister would have covered, it's really poor form to deny her this spa getaway that she could so desperately do with after a terrible couple of years! A little compassion, rather than sticking rigidly to the terms of the agreement wouldn't go amiss!

Firstly, we are sorry to hear of your sister's poor health.
It is extremely disappointing to receive your 1 star review. Our terms and conditions have to be rigid as they are the same for all customers and we are unable to do for one that we wouldn't do for another due to the terms stated clearly at the time of booking and on the voucher in question. It is stated very explicitly on our vouchers that they won't be valid after the expiry date.
I can see that the voucher was valid for 18 months, from 28/03/2021 to 28/09/2022, and as long as the voucher is redeemed before the expiry, the stay can be for anytime in the future.
We had no communication from you, your parents or sister prior to last week, 2 years since the voucher was purchased and 6 months after the expiry date. Had we received any correspondence before the voucher expired we could then have offered an extension of 12 months for a small fee.
We are not aware of any competitors who allow vouchers to be redeemed after they have expired. We make regular donations of gift vouchers to charities, for raffle prizes and the like, and any expired vouchers do help to fund these donations.

FULL MARKS FOR A BRILLIANT BOOKING
We called to check availability at the Swan in Lavenham for a two-night stay in July. Much to our delight we were able to extend to three nights and stay on our anniversary. Full marks to Offpeakluxury yet again!

Ok but somewhat misleading by advertising a special offer on the site, only to find that when you get to pay, it is more expensive due to a supplement apparently imposed by the Hotel. That should be made more clear on the initial offer.

It is disappointing to receive a 3 star review.
The price does not go up at the payment page. Once a date has been selected the price is clearly shown.
We received a call from you before this booking was made to ask why this date was more expensive. As explained during the call this particular hotel does have some selected midweek dates where a supplement is applicable, due to the popularity of the hotel during the week.
On the call it appeared that the explanation was acceptable and you were happy to proceed with this booking over the phone at the price as advertised on our website and provided by us.

Very poor experience at the Midbrook…
Very poor experience at the Midbrook hotel Bradford on Avon . We had not been advised by off peak luxury that the ground floor rooms were not in the main building which was quite crucial given my husbands illness. Hotel Very churlish about the welcome drink which we had to ask for. Food very mediocre . Paid extra for a luxury experience which it was not .

It is extremely disappointing to receive your 1 star review. We have been back and forth with the hotel with regard to your complaint. As the hotel has said you were allocated the room requested, which was a ground floor accessible room with a walk in shower, this is also what you requested when you called our reservations team with your enquiry initially.
It is stated on our website under the 'rooms' tab that the Classic rooms are located in the converted stable block, which is a very short walk from the main hotel.
We did all that was asked by securing you a room for your specific dates which was ground floor and with a walk-in shower. If something specific, like a room in the main house is essential, it would be advisable to mention this when making your initial enquiry with us.
With regard to the welcome drink, as mentioned by the hotel in their reply, the member of staff had to check with reception what was included within your package, then they swiftly returned to the bar and poured your welcome drink.

very expensive & charge £35 for any mistakes…
My partner Realised he had made a mistake on booking within 1 hour of booking, they would only amend at a fee of £35, or cancel for £35. They were also charging £50 more than any other site, when i did some research. So I cancelled and it was cheaper even with the £35 charge
DO NOT TRUST and at 17th Jan still no refund, disgusting. amex show all pending transactions, within hours of them happening. i will go on chargeback if necessary

We are very disappointed that you left a 1 star review.
As explained on our other review platform, on which you left the same review, our cancellation terms are made very clear at the time of booking, and were accepted when you completed your booking online.
To avoid paying a cancellation charge, we have offered to issue a voucher for the full amount which is valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. This can be used towards another package or hotel if preferred.
You can also amend your dates free of charge.
Regarding our package prices, we do offer a price match guarantee. We are confident that our packages will regularly offer the best value around. However, if you find you could have booked the same package on the same terms elsewhere for less, we'll not only refund the difference but also give you a £25 credit towards a future booking.
We do believe that our cancellation terms are very flexible.
