Øst London is a Scandinavian-inspired women's fashion brand, founded by me, Sigga, a Danish-born designer who moved from Copenhagen to London and never quite lost the accent, or the opinions about colour. After decades in fashion retail in Copenhagen and the UK, I opened our shop in Shoreditch in 2018 with one belief: clothes should be worn for joy, not for trends. Scandinavian style gets a reputation for being all grey and beige. We think it's more interesting than that. Our pieces bring colour, personality and a little bit of humour to everyday dressing, without shouting about it. Quality matters to us. Much of what we make is Italian-crafted, designed to be worn for years rather than one season, and priced so it doesn't feel like a special-occasion purchase. We'd rather you reach for something from us every week than save it for a day that never comes. We're a small, independent team. I still design the collections, answer customer emails and post on Instagram myself, so when you get in touch, you're talking to the people who made the thing you're asking about. You can find us online at oestlondon.com, or visit us in Spitalfields, where you're always welcome to try things on and have a chat. If something isn't right, tell us. We'd genuinely like the chance to fix it

One of my must-visit stores in London
One of my must-visit stores in London. I love the clean lines of their clothing and the beautiful colors. Their knitwear, in particular, is absolutely amazing—excellent quality at very reasonable prices, so everyone can afford it. They also have lovely accessories such as jewelry, hats, scarves, and more. Both my teenage daughter and I adore this shop. The staff is friendly—especially the owner, Sigga, who offers great guidance and honest advice. I can only recommend that everyone stop by OST.

I love this shop, the knitwear quality and choice of colours is absolutely beautiful, the socks are nice and warm.
The balaclavas are so comfy and cozy, I wear them all the time, even at home!
