VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER.
OCCRE REQUEST CODE: 6081.
The worst experience of customer service I’ve EVER had with ANY company (Model or otherwise) from ANY part of the world.
Multiple parts missing from my Occre Amerigo Vespucci 1-100 wooden ship kit.
Began email correspondence with Occre on 14/8/24 and concluded on 21/01/25! More than 5 months. Phew!
Started off well but then for the remainder of the 5 months I was continuously given the run around. They kept fobbing me off saying they had resent parts apparently, on 4 separate occasions. These items never arrived.
Stated sent by ordinary mail on each occasion. Of course, no tracking number was ever given making it impossible to gauge any progress. My request for courier refused.They didn’t use couriers. Very convenient.
Finally, I came to the end of my tether and suggested they put the items in a bottle(with my address) and toss it in the Ocean in the hope it washed up on the U.K. shore. At least I might have some chance of delivery. This led to a very petulant, intimidating response from Xavier. This kit cost me £347.00GBP. None of the items allegedly despatched on “4” separate occasions have arrived as of 18/04/2026.
The claimed Occre “lifetime guarantee” has proved worthless for me and, many others it would appear Caveat Emptor applies.
I have Ill health and getting on in years. I became exhausted with the process.
My poor experience of this company seems universal with an appalling rated Trust Pilot 3* review record!
Nothing seems to have improved in the meantime.
I haven’t bought anything from Occre since.

Having purchased a model from the above company everything was OK Until I requested some spare parts. The order was approximately 20/3/2026. From then onwards all I have received is excuses after excuses that the delivery company (FedEx) is having technical issues for my non delivery of the goods. Keep away from FedEx.

I've read so many good things about OcCre models, so splashed out on a kit and accessories totalling £293 - a word of warning to those in the UK, when my package arrived I was sent a bill for £73 by FedEx! I know that this isn't OcCre's fault, but had I known there was an extra 25% to pay I almost certainly wouldn't have gone ahead with the purchase.

The goods arrived with a couple of broken pieces, but customer service was excellent, replying promptly, directing me to the warranty area on the website and assuring me there will be no fee to pay. Everything else looks great and I am very pleased.

I can't give more than 3 stars for my experience; as a UK resident, the extra 25% means I'm not willing to buy anything further, and I am concerned should I need anything else for the kit I have already purchased, I face more extortionate fees. This area of complaint is not a reflection on OcCre, as this is in no way their fault.

Persoonlijk begrijp ik de lage Trustpilot score niet zo goed. Ik heb inmiddels al 11 schepen van Occre gekocht vanaf 2020.
Toegegeven de prijzen zijn de laatste jaren best omhoog gegaan en af en toe ontbreken er een paar onderdelen in hun kits, maar ik heb tot nu toe nog geen enkel bedrijf meegemaakt met zulke goede, vriendelijke en snelle klantenservice.
Zonder enkele discussie worden ontbrekende of defecte onderdelen opgestuurd, zolang je maar kan aantonen dat je het product ook daadwerkelijk hebt gekocht. Ze doen alles om je als modelbouwer te ondersteunen en te helpen. Ze hebben een hele grote community opgebouwd die elkaar helpt daar waar nodig en hebben duidelijke instructievideo's gemaakt van hun producten.

Dus ik ben uitermate tevreden met de producten van Occre, maar vooral met hun klantenservice.

horrible customer service. misleading info or simply non responsive to emails. I have spent considerable money on their models. no more.

since writing this, occre has responded to my concerns and responses to my emails have improved considerably. I hope this continues as I would like to keep doing business with them

Me encantan las maquetas de.los tranvias de occre, aunque no resultan tan fáciles como inicialmente parecen. Ahora me he embarcado en la aventura de la construcción del mississippi y, aunque lentamente, voy avanzando. Me está pareciendo maravilloso. En general me gustaría que denominaran los elementos que se van construyendo, tanto en tranvias como en todas las maquetas. Me encantaría otra barcaza fluvial a vapor, me parecen interesantes. Y ojala occre se anime alguna vez con maquetas de antiguos caserones. Un millón de gracias.

El Beagle es el segundo kit OcCre que compro.

Las maquetas vienen muy detalladas en bonitos kits con materiales de calidad y corte laser muy preciso.

Aún más importante, especialmente en estas epocas, OcCre proporciona un servicio de atención al cliente superlativo.

Concernant la maquette des 3 voitures pour la locomotive ADLER, Très déçu de la qualité du bois vraiment deguelasse.. Les contre plaqués sont beaucoup trop fins et de mauvaise qualité..Ils se cassent et s ebrechent très facilement ..la qualité n est pas du tout au rendez vous pour une boîte dépassant les 120€.
Certaines des découpes laser sont très imprécises ce qui nuit fortement au rendu final vraiment pas top......
J ai pas encore terminé la première voiture et déjà démotivé pour le reste...
Je vais être obligé de recommander une planche complète pour refaire une partie de la voiture...
J ai monté la locomotive Jupiter qui ,même très délicate ne m a posé aucun problème de qualité ,ainsi que la petite loco ADLER que j ai trouvé fascinante a monter et qui offre un très beau rendu mais les trois voitures sont une horreur a monter....
Je pense que pour mes prochains projets sur les tramways OCCRE, je vais les oublier.....

Titanic model. Honestly, I have to say that the model is terrible and looks cheap; it’s not worth the money absolutely, The upper promenade decks—all the windows and doors—are just stickers on plywood. Seriously? just stickers for that price. Along with the kit, they push you to buy a lighting set, which I did, but how can you light up the ship’s superstructure when all the windows and doors on the upper decks are just stickers on plywood? They could have approached it creatively and made the promenade decks with realistic openings. The hull overlays aren’t even plywood but paper, which tears when you try to sand it. Moreover, they didn’t publish negative reviews on their page, I wrote same review there never appeared, only positive reviews. Even with free delivery they are cheating, on the main page is shows EU delivery free from 150eur which is not true because same country the consider like rest of the Europe (Lithuania like example) so finally you will pay full delivery price. I do not recommend purchasing any model from Occre.

For Xmas I got two Rocket locomotive kits. Impossible to return one of them. VERY POOR TETURN POLICY!!!

Bueno ya llevo como un par de semanas dándole vueltas a los planos del Golden Hing sin poder seguir pues no cuadra de ninguna de las maneras , las fotos de las instrucciones no las puedes ampliar porque son malisimas de calidad , y video turorial no es el del Golden Hind , es de otro muy parecido , "Buccaneer " , las piezas no cuadran con las imagenes , La proxima vez comprare en Artesania Latina .

comme cadeau la maquette hms érébus, j'ai voulu la commencer il y a quelques semaines après vérification des pièces j'ai remarqué que la photodécoupe était faite pour le hms terror et non pour l'érébus n'ayant pas de facture j'ai quand même envoyé ma demande chez occre. 10. Jours après je rececevait la pièce manquante. Chapeau ! Occre

Passionné de modélisme naval depuis mes 20 ans (j'en ai 60 aujourd'hui), j'ai réalisé sur plans plusieurs modèles réduits navigants ou non (voilier Cédar4, chalutier St-Elme, chalutier Boulogne Etaples etc..). Avec OCCRE j'apprécie aujourd'hui la complétude des kits ! il ne manque rien dans les plus petits détails ! La précision des découpes des pièces en bois est assez exceptionnelle, bravo ! Les plans et notices en couleur de grande qualité sont très agréables à utiliser et de grande précision, enfin, le soin dans le conditionnement des différents éléments dans la boîte est également à souligner.
C'est avec un immense plaisir que j'avance actuellement (à mon rythme, je suis en retraite :-) ) de la construction de L' ENDEAVOUR. BRAVO et GRAND MERCI !!

Let me start by saying I built 5 large scale occre boats since 2021 and 3 more very large scale boats from different companies. This way I can compare all of the aspects.
The boats I built from occre in correct order
1: HMS Terror
2: Santisima Trinidad
3: Montanes
4: Prinz Eugen
5: HMS Victory [ refunded - more details below ]

+ 2 other large scale ships from different companies I am not going to name just for comparison to Occre.

#1 In just less than 2 years Occre raised price of Santisima Trinidad and Montanes by £200 [ originally £350 and £550.

#2 Every single model was missing so many items, A LOT of items missing. I know Occre says you can request anything you need for free. These items shouldn't be missing anything in a first place! It takes over 2 weeks for items to arrive to UK! Sometimes you can't do anything other than waiting 2 weeks.
I requested 6 items for Montanes, 2 weeks later package arrived with completely different items, I thought I requested wrong items so I checked my emails and I requested correct items. I requested same correct items again and 2 weeks later once again wrong items. I just gave up! 4 weeks of waiting for correct parts.

#3: low quality items. Occre used to be on a cheaper side which price matches the quality [ not bad but not great ] so £300 large scale boat and not the best parts. Now it's extremely overpriced and quality is even worse with even more items missing!

#4: Very bad drawings and manual
Every single model and faults and mistakes in their drawing, sometimes major faults and mistakes in drawings! I have master degree in engineering and my degree was to draw crane and engines and so on.
Their drawings are bad, made by someone who has no clue how to do drawings! same goes for manual, just confusing, look at this book then this book and then this book!

#5 False advertising and banning people
Occre claims that every single models comes with free tutorial videos on YouTube.
Every single models has maybe first 5 videos and then it stops, not a single model is finished. this is what you get and then they just abandon it!
If you question this you will get banned because not allowed to say the truth!

#6 Extremely overpriced HMS Victory
I purchased this just to prove low quality and extreme overpricing!
I opened the box, same wood as they use on all models, same manual same drawings with tons of mistakes, once again counted all the items which took me hours and just so much missing it's crazy as this is £1300 boat [ not large scale ] and returned it as this proved point as this is worth maybe £500 at push. you paying extra £700 for "limited edition".
Once again Occre has abandoned this model on youtube tutorials!

TLDR:

Low quality models and materials, confusing manuals, bad drawings, tons of items missing, items don't fit together, lots of sanding and adjusting, lowest quality threads and extreme overpricing!

P.S.

If you are thinking to buy wooden model ship boat whether it's large scale or not, do yourself favour and buy it from different company. If you are not sure which company visit forums and you will find out.

Remember, rather pay bit more and have amazing quality and nothing is missing rather than trying to save bit of money and have constant headache!

Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't buy a single boat from Occre!

Bonjour, je suis en train de faire le kit Brigantin et il manque des poulies ( on peut en racheter), et une voile (pas de voile de secours ni même tissus pour la confectionner soi-même.

Lo que parecía un proyecto relativamente sencillo se ha ido convirtiendo en una pesadilla etapa por etapa por la calidad de los materiales y algunas instrucciones poco claras.

Baue die Revenge, ein sehr schönes Modell. Preis/ Leistung sind ok.
Einige Teile müssen komplett selbst gesägt/ geschliffen werden.
Ansonsten gewohnt gute Anleitung, aber nichts für Neueinsteiger!

Calidad precio en lo que yo he comprado es muy mala, en mi caso compre el Ulises, mal cortado, piezas de metal mal echas las he tenido que hacer el 3d, piezas que no hacen la medida que tienen que hacer y el colmo de todo el eje de la hélice que ni entra en la bocina. Hay cosas solucionables está claro pero lo del eje me ha acabado de matar
