Owen was very responsive and thorough. He wrote a very good objection letter that hit all of the points the council raised in rejecting the planning application. I cannot state how important it is when objecting that your letter/response is written in language that is targeted at the planning officers. This makes it harder for them to ignore you. That is why you should get expert help. The cost is minor compared to the impact on you if the planning application is passed.

I would strongly recommend Owen.

His pricing was competitive but more importantly he acted as a trust advisor to us when we had minimal time to respond to planning permission. I found Owen’s details online and called to request assistance objecting to my neighbour’s two-story planning application (we’re based in Glasgow). From the first conversation I was very impressed with Owen’s professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail. Within an hour or so of our first chat Owen had checked out the planning case online and come back to assure me that I had valid reasons to object. He then composed a full representation within a day or so, referencing various local and national planning policies, and submitted to the local authority on my behalf. Owen was always available to answer any of my queries, and very promptly submitted a further response to the application after my neighbour’s agent had added a new drawing. Even though I felt sure that my neighbour’s application was unreasonable I could never have represented my concerns properly without Owen’s expertise and crucially his references to planning policies of which I had no knowledge whatsoever. The application was refused, and I can’t thank Owen enough for the vital role he played in this correct outcome being reached. I also found Owen to be a very friendly, polite individual. Owen was informed, responsive and pragmatic, by which I mean he did not overpromise and was clear if there was no real likelihood of a positive result (we consulted him on 2 separate building applications).
He provided a full and professional letter at a very reasonable price (for such expertise) and his advice and counsel was helpful for my own letter of objection as well. In our case the planning application for a back garden development was refused.

Owen has been a great help to us in formulating an objection to a retrospective planning application. He displayed the knowledge and experience needed from the start in drafting and submitting the relevant objection letter.

All we needed to do was explain to Owen our concerns and provide the relevant “Planning Reference Number” and “Name of Local Authority” with a few photographs. Owen then came back to us with his proposed basis of objection with a full explanation of the matter. We were then happy to instruct Own to draft the objection letter for our review which he later submitted on our behaves. We also found his fee reasonable for the work that was carried out. Even when we had to make a further submission, he was able to do this free of charge!

My praise doesn't come lightly but, in this case, 5 stars was well and truly deserved. Even if we hadn't got the great result that we did, (planning permission refused), the service Objection Experts / Owen gave was exceptional. From the outset the responses were very quick, and that included the assessment of the case and the confidence with which we could expect a reply. Then when the draft objection came through it covered so many points that we could never have hoped to achieve without this level of expertise.
At one point in the process, the developer/applicant raised further arguments in favour of the development but Owen was once again able to step in with technical arguments squashing their points as irrelevant and not in line with policy. I believe Owen's objection, demonstrating deep understanding of policy, was likely used by the council in formulating their own objections. Either way - what a star he was. Highly recommended and well worth every penny!

Owen has recently helped us object to an application to build a house on a garden adjacent to our property. From start to finish, Owen provided an effective, technically-competent and professional service and we would certainly be very happy to recommend Objection Experts.

When we initially saw details of the planning application, we didn't think we had grounds to object, but within 15 mins of an initial discussion with Owen, he had produced an outline plan of relevant grounds. I was more than a little surprised when a planning application, that I had been told was lapsed by our LPA reared its head again in the shape of an application trying to get works done certified as lawful and therefore deemed commencement of development.
Despite being informed by other ‘ experts ‘ that this might have been a lost cause, Owen believed that this was not the case.
