If I could leave zero stars I would
If I could leave zero stars I would. Carefully review their cancellation policy before using this company. It is a scam. My 82 year old grandma with dementia hired this company without our family’s knowledge, and put down a deposit of over $7000. The total was going to be over $14,000!! For a small distance within our state, and a small house. My grandma did not understand that she was hiring out of state movers. By the time I realized her error, I tried to help her get it cancelled. They only gave her back $1400 of her $7000 deposit, even though we tried to cancel WEEKS in advance. When I explained to Kris (in charge of cancellation) of her situation, he was not at all understanding and said they wouldn’t change their policy for anyone. So they basically got $6000 out of my grandma for no services rendered at all. I am not one to complain, this is the first negative review I have written in my life. I’m disgusted with this company

DO NOT USE AMERISAFE
DO NOT USE AMERISAFE. They are not a moving company. They are a BROKER. They will outsource your move to a third party who will show up demanding more money than you were quoted, they will not answer phone calls, respond to texts, or answer emails. You have been warned. ..DO NOT USE AMERISAFE

Beware - You need FULL inventory to get cost
If you Google "Best Long Distance Moving Companies" you will see number 3 - AmeriSafe Moving Services. Be cautious in selecting this company. They are NOT a "moving" company, but are a "broker". They will take your information and using a formula, based on bedrooms, to determine a cost. At that point they will select a moving company that will pick up and move your possessions. Also, from experience, they do not ask enough questions up front to include ALL odd pieces of furniture you might want included. Your cost is determined by volume. If you don't get this worked out before movers come, you will have problems and it will cost you! As I said in the beginning, beware - MY experience with AmeriSafe was not pleasant!

They are scammers
They are subcontractors not the movers. You will be lucky if you get a mover who speaks English. Read the reviews about being a family company and Veteran owned (which may be a lie) I'm out $3,500.00 because I cancelled 3 days before hand.
When they called to verify my information of the items being moved, I forgot a vacuum cleaner and they raise my rate up by $300.00.
I knew then this is not right. Another thing you can only pay by cash or money order (that smells stinky)
My own fault my husband's health was declining, and he was dying, and I had a lot on my plate. They took advantage of me and I'm sure others. They will gauge you on your move and you're not going to get top rated movers you will receive the bottom of the barrel.
Awful I'm out $3,500.00 but I intend to take this further.

DO NOT USE AMERISAFE
DO NOT USE AMERISAFE. They are a broker and a scam. Amerisafe will outsource your move to third rate movers who will demand more money when they show up (in our case 4000 dollars), and Amerisafe will then tell you “they are not responsible- you need to contact the carrier”. 30 days later you will not have your household goods. DO NOT USE AMERISAFE

Sustainable and skilled Movers
Mark, Alexus, George, and Dean made a fantastic team. They were courteous, professional, and incredibly productive. They made the transfer simple and took excellent care of my possessions. Their service has left me quite satisfied.

NOT A MOVING COMPANY
Contacted this ‘moving’ company through the internet.
Quick response and was given an acceptable price to move a small amount of goods from Florida to NC.
BEWARE. This is not a mover but rather a broker who misrepresents themselves. Contracts are signed then another third party shows up demanding fresh contracts be signed.
Everything is extra from an elevator charge to a more than 75 feet charge and on the delivery end a transfer fee to a moving van.
Although the representative gave me his phone number He could never get a returned call or progress report.

On 7/29/24 I have email communication from John Wyville at AmeriSafe movers that they could do the job on July 2nd or 3rd in a binding estimate. He assured me in writing 3 things – it would be a direct move from my home to NC (no warehouse), that their company would be doing the move (not subcontracted with a rental truck and day laborers), and that my inventory and cubic feet was accurate @ 705 cubic feet.
He assured me that there would be no issues with the cubic feet. The movers show up from Cobra Van Lines on July 2nd and have my Dad sign a bill of lading for 1200 cubic feet before they ever come in the house. They also tell him that they were dropping my belongings off in a warehouse in Chicago to await being put on a semi to North Carolina. I called John from the airport in tears and he says I will have to pay for the overage since my dad signed but that I would be able to get a refund from AmeriSafe. I was told that he would “make this right, whatever it takes – even if it has to come from my own pocket” by John. He says he’s going to forward it to customer service and someone would reach out.
The person from customer service reached out and literally laughed when I relayed the conversation with John Wyville, Senior Moving Coordinator. She said that 1200 cubic feet were signed for and that is what I had to pay if I wanted my things back. I call Cobra Van Lines and ask for photos of 1200 cubic feet actually being used in the truck and was told that they don’t do that.
The evening of July 5th I get a text from the delivery driver saying he will be at my house on the 6th of July. My belongings arrive on time and undamaged but while they were putting my furniture back together we couldn’t find a hardware box. I asked if I could go look in the truck and was told that I could. The box wasn’t in the truck either. ALL my items had been offloaded at that time and I was surprised at how small the space was. There were several deliveries on the truck – it was packed completely full – and I had been the first stop. I decided to measure the space (and took video of me doing so). The dimensions were 142 x 108 x 100 inches. Had I used up every square inch of available space (which is impossible), the very maximum I could have used would be 887 cubic feet. That is even counting the space right in front of the door which someone else’s king mattress was taking up.

I had a terrible experience with this…they were deceptive andvdishonest
I had a terrible experience with this moving company and I highly advise against using their services. They initially quoted me a price of $3000 for my two-room apartment move and asked for a deposit to reserve the spot. When I listed the items that needed to be moved as asked, the boss stopped me and said it wasn't necessary to list everything, assuring me that the list I provided was sufficient to create the contract.
Afterwards, I started receiving several calls from the contracted movers about arrival dates and times, and they even showed up on the wrong date. The movers then tried to convince me to cancel the move, claiming that there was too much stuff and not enough room for it. (if I canceled the move the contract says they can keep the deposit in full)To make matters worse, the day before the move, while at the apartment, they informed me that the price would be doubled, which felt like a blatant attempt to extort more money from me.
When I confronted the company's boss and managers about these issues, they refused to address the matter, leaving me with no choice but to cancel the move and dispute the $917 deposit. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience overall.
WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A MOVING COMPANY…
WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A MOVING COMPANY EVER!!!! This company has terrible customer services. And the pricing constantly changes throughout the course of the move when nothing with my move changed. There were several issues with pick up and delivery that never got resolved. My load arrived a week later than what I was told Upon pickup one of their own employees told me I was being screwed and he wished I hadn’t used them. During scheduling of the move I spoke with about 5 different people from amerisafe and the company they used to outsource the job to who was also the worst you could imagine (Jackson Movers) and not one time did I get a consistent/same explanation about anything. The only the that was consistent was every time I spoke with someone my price continued to get higher As things continued to get worse and the issues continued to pile up it was harder and harder to get in touch with someone to help resolve anything. I’ve used professional movers for the last 16 years and this is by far the worst I’ve ever seen
I am extremely upset with the moving…
I am extremely upset with the moving service provided by Amerisafe Moving Company for a scheduled move on June 8th. Initially, I requested a quote for moving from San Antonio, TX to Denver, CO. Colin, a customer representative, contacted me to discuss the list of items, and he quoted me $4750 for a semi-service. He mentioned that this price was an early scheduled promotional rate and required half of the amount in advance to lock the price, which I paid.
Colin assured me that the company would contact me a week before the move to review the items again. As promised, Heidi called a week prior, and after adding only a few items to the original list, she increased the price to an outrageous $8500. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested to cancel the service, Heidi informed me that it was uncertain whether I would get my deposit back and advised me to contact customer service.
Upon contacting customer service, I received no clear response about the refund of my deposit. Feeling trapped and fearing the loss of my deposit, I reluctantly accepted the new price. They even made me pay the remaining half of the deposit, totaling nearly $4500. The friendly customer service I initially experienced vanished completely.
On the moving day, two movers showed up with a Penske truck. They did a walkthrough before loading, during which I even removed some items to avoid further issues. After the walkthrough, they contacted their office and informed me that the new price would be a staggering $14,600. Angered and disappointed, I spoke with someone from the office who stated that Amerisafe was merely a broker and not the actual moving company. I immediately canceled the service and am now trying to recover my money.
I strongly advise against using Amerisafe Moving Company. They are dishonest and their practices are deceptive. Avoid this company at all costs.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. If you are relocating, find a local or national company that provides moving services. This company is just a broker, and they do not vet their contracted business partners and they absolutely do not provide support for customers who encounter issues with their move. Once they get paid their absurdly high fees, they wash their hands of the client. The company I trusted them to vet and provide good service for me was late for my pickup and delayed on the dropoff. They lost and damaged multiple furniture items and have not offered any sort of resolution for any of the above issues.

80% of my furniture is broken/damaged, boxes and pieces missing
90% of my furniture is broken and damaged. Missing boxes and pieces of furniture. I would have overlooked the fraud and extortion if they just delivered my belongings in the same condition in which they took them. Do your homework. Scam. Illegal & They Do Not Care.
Amerisafe are Liars. Run!!
Please don’t use these people. They have brokers that you talk to first that give you false information/quotes. Then when the movers come they inform you that those were brokers and you get another crazy quote, almost triple the amount. .When you call the broker to get it resolved they are rude and don’t want to talk to you. The broker downplays the size of things so that they can fit into the amount they claim to be discounting. Save yourself a headache and don’t use these people.

Terrible & Expensive Experience
We had a five-bedroom house and moved from Georgia to Virginia. I booked our move two months prior to the moving date with Conor. At that time, I explained I didn’t want any surprises when the movers arrived and told him we had a large house with a lot of items. I paid for the largest truck available to ensure there would be enough space - I also booked car transport through this company. Conor, the salesperson, promised he would be there for any needs and that I would not encounter any trouble.
The complete opposite happened; a few weeks before the move, I started contacting Conor about the car transport, but he totally ignored me. Eventually, someone else at the company explained they had a three-day window and would not pick up our cars until Sunday, but we were moving on Thursday. So I had to pay top dollar with another (reliable) car transport company to ensure our cars would arrive when we did.
On moving day, the mover didn’t show up until 4:00 pm, even though Conor promised they would be there in the morning. Then the movers started their scam, up-charging me for items like extra boxes and glass coffee tables, even though Conor told me not to worry about those details as I had a large truck reserved. Of course, he would not answer my calls, and one of his coworkers said I should have read the fine print in the contract better. Ultimately, I ended up being forced to pay 20% more than what I was quoted. The movers also arrived in Virginia a day late, and this was supposed to be Amerisource’s best team. My experience with Amerisafe was horrible and expensive on every level. My advice is never to work with a broker and to avoid this company completely.

This is the absolute worst company I…
This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Super unprofessional and the boy I spoke with quoted me a price of 3k and by the end of the day it was 6k and wouldn’t take my stuff without it paid up front and it’s been 4 days now and nobody can locate my things. I have nothing. The man child Conor, lied from the beginning through today when I asked where my things are, and he told me I need to calm down. Very unprofessional!!!! Do NOT use this company unless you don’t care to get your belongings again!!!!

DO NOT USE AMERISAFE!!!
DO NOT USE AMERISAFE!!!! They are not a mover. They are a broker. They sub contacted our move to Arena Van Lines. We were told our belongings would be stored in a rodent free environment. Our furniture arrived covered in mouse droppings. Almost everything we paid them to wrap arrived damaged. Hire a real mover.
I could give 0 stars
I could give 0 stars, I would. Please spare yourself a worse headache than moving already is if you hire these thiefs. First, my mistake not realizing they provide "moving services " so they are brokers meaning you are hiring them to hire someone you don't know to move your things, rip you off and treat you so poorly that we were appalled. The first 1 lady in customer service was the nastiest, most unprofessional person I've ever spoken to. She was condescending, rude and hung up on me when I questioned the binding fee to which her answer was " basically for hiring us". What? She refused to put a supervisor on the phone cause she was one! Again, what? The 4 people that followed were the same, lack of empathy and no accountability for crappy service! The last man I spoke to asked me to send an email to him about my complaint and when I said will the owner see this he said, "probably not" again, what's going there? The price is ridiculous and there is no break down that makes sense.
They did not say anything about the actual moving co until the day before when it was too late. We paid our deposit w a c.c. but then the moving co not amerisafe said they needed cash or check. Who does that anymore? We didn't have either and it was Sunday! We did not get our stuff the same day because of this so we had to sleep on the floor. The only positive experience for us was the moving guys Johnny and his crew were nice.
We basically spent over 6 k to be treated with no professionalism or respect, and a truck. I later found out Two Men and a Truck would do it for half the price. My bad for not being more thorough but moving is difficult enough without businesses like this taking advantage of people during difficult times. It's shameful. Their website lies about their values, they have none.

Do not trust this company
Do not trust this company. 1) They will give you a very low estimate for your move, then contract out the move to another company. The fine print in the contract has all kinds of restrictions about the load being heavier than estimated. Restrictions include having to negotiate with the mover on site on the day of move, up to having your move denied by the mover. 2). They pressure you to pay a large percentage of your move up front. Don't, because if anything changes you can't get your money back. You get a 1 year credit. Worthless if you have to use a different mover and are not planning to move again 3). They don't answer your calls and every time you get a new person to talk to. Don't even try to reach the salesman that hooked you first. I left multiple messages and finally looked up customer service and they also change every time. Not helpful!!!
Amerisafe is a scam company. I lost $7,500 and wish someone had warned me. They are not a 4.6 company.
