I’d been struggling with getting in contact with my previous supplier (Avanti) simply to sort out a new contract and get a fair price for a top-up (I was out of contract). So, I looked here on TrustPilot and saw Northern Energy is getting great reviews and rang them.

Short story even shorter, I got through immediately, was given a quote at a market-leading price, and was sent the forms to complete electronically the same day —which I did.

I had a question about the site of my underground LPG tank which was also immediately sorted (the same day) once I had uploaded the usual set of photos for moving supplier.

Wonderful reasonably sized, but family run company that takes a practical approach to doing business.

The pros - they are helpful and quick to deliver but you WILL pay for this
The cons - they are WAY more expensive than other suppliers.
Had been with them for past 6 years and was always convinced I was paying over the odds. Was supposedly on a plan which ensured I paid the same price per litre regardless of quantity or so I had been told. Recently had a top up of 380 litres and paid 97 p per litre when going rate was about 75 ppl. When I asked why it was so expensive was referred to someone who said it was down to the quantity I had received. This was the last straw. No more being ripped off for me! I’ll shop around from now on!

Had a problem with the regulator on the tank, spoke to emergency number on a Sunday and the regulator replaced Monday!
Excellent service always and staff always efficient and polite.

I moved to Northern Energy after 18 years with Calor. As well as being more competitively priced, the communication and customer service has been excellent. I wish I’d not been complacent and moved earlier.

When you phone always very helpful and polite. Order placed on 20 Nov delivery 21 Nov, can't fault service first class.

This company is realilly approachable, knowledgeable and always helpful. They seem to be large enough to have the resources they need to be effective while small enough to have a personal relationship with customers.
I do not know how their prices compare with other suppliers - I never bother to check the competition because Northern Energy are trusted to do the job.

Excellent company to deal with. Always on the end of the phone if you need anything. Can highly recommend!

On October 30th, I unexpectedly received an invoice for a property we vacated five months prior. I was unfamiliar with Northern Energy, as the landlord had switched suppliers after our departure.
Throughout October, I faced persistent demands for payment, despite there being a standard 28-day payment period for invoices.
To my surprise, Sophie Core from the credit control team took it upon herself to email my ex-landlord, attempting to portray me as unwilling to pay and seeking his assistance to get me to pay, even though the invoice was not yet due for payment.
This behavior struck me as opportunistic. Despite bringing the matter to the attention of one of the directors, my complaint yielded minimal response.

The inspection cover on our lpg tank could only be opened part way due to seized piano type hinges. I have today managed to open the cover all the way and have now lubricated the hinge with a light anti corrosion grease. However, I say to myself what service do I receive from the annual tank rental cost?

This lpg supplier is no worse or better than other suppliers.

When the technology improves (and it will) I will install an air source heat pump. The boiler is already entering its twilight phase of life.

Great service from Northern Energy. Proactive and friendly

We have been a customer of Northern Energy for many years.
I have always found the staff very attentive and courteous. Speedy delivery when needed. Nothing too much trouble , a problem with a "tripped" external valve was dealt with and rectified within 24 hours. Highly recommend.

Always quick and helpful when I call but am unhappy when originally told that deliveries scheduled when tank goes below 25% where as it was 12%when delivery came
I appreciate that you know form historical consumption when it becomes essential but it still makes me nervous especially when it gets below 20% as I have a steep drive and your delivery options are restricted to a small tanker What heppens if we have snow on the drive?

I've found the customer service team to be very 'human' in their approach and very quick to find the right answer for their customer, and not just for their business.
I needed to make a call yesterday as we have built up a credit with the direct debit. It was quickly sorted and with zero debate or push back as I've got quite used to from other utility providers! (I do find on the whole other companies can be very keen to hold on to any credit balance and like to argue a point, but this one was dealt with so quickly and efficiently. I was also put straight through without spending ages on hold).
We've had LPG supplied now for probably around 10 years with them and in the past I've also had conversations about debit balances, which were handled with equal thoughtfulness. I have really appreciated that they all seem like genuinely nice people!

First delivery, very satisfied with service so far .

Worked for this bog standard company if your face didn’t fit u have no chance or do what David says they basically want you to live there and have no life, also if you have days on sick they expect you to pay them back never heard of that in the 30 years I have been working and they don’t pay sick so how’s that work ,also trucks are run to the ground there’s lots of other places to get your oil that are better than northern energy
