We got recommended MYOB by an accountant we did not hesitate to sign up.
We have spent 4 days trying to get support to resolve onboarding issues to the point we cannot even setup bank feeds. We've applied for 2 tickets with Support and Issued feedback via there complaints line and our issue is still outstanding.
I tried tocancel my subscription but they would not let me until they took another payment which i did not authorise, but they took it anyway. Big corporation ripping off the small guy.
my story is the same as others myob has no customer service at all. I been waiting 18 days for something they had told me would take 10 days to fix... And well I am still waiting. By the way my something is my ability to invoice my clients so I can get paid. Yeah the very thing this software should be doing for me. I would stay away from myob look at other software. There support is terrible at best. Currently in hell. Still waiting no being able to invoice.
I was really dissatisfied with MYOBS service until I received a call from Lailanie Arnado asking me what problems I had and offered to call back and walk me through the problems. I spent some time on the phone with her and she rectified all the different items I had problems with. She was extremely supportive and I am thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommend her.
Appalling support and customer service for customers with AR v19. I recommend that anyone trying to get help type into the search field 'how to make a formal complaint against MYOB' and you'll finally get the phone numbers that you can't get anywhere else. 2 years ago after being with MYOB for 25+ years I thought I'd had enough. After 17 hours over the past 3 days of not being able to access my files (and make an urgent Court deadline) - I've had enough. Not good enough MYOB.
Lailanie was very good dealing with the issues from Myob - STP. Waiting to see if you have resolved the issue with notification emails when Myob receives a payment for my sales

Shanika was extremely helpful in resolving the issue I was facing with the MYOB data file.
Shanika Jayawickrama was great and helped me move files to on-line. Replied both emails and phone calls promptly.
Transitioning from other accounting software to MYOB Account Right was a very bad experience.
- Heaps of limitations
- Unexperienced support team
- Unfunctional or wrongly functional features
- Desktop and web versions of the software don't flow
- Issues reported to the support team don't get passed on to be checked
Appalling customer service!!! Call transferred 3 times, left on hold over an hour. Details not passed from one service officer to the next so having to repeat the problem over and again. Issue not resolved. Our product support is "not active" even though monthly direct debits and up to date, and we are paying for the service. Complete and utter waste of time and money! This is an issue that should have been resolved immediately.
Help desk don't return calls when they say they will. I'm now on my 4th person (who can't speak English) to try and resolve my issue. I got cut off and despite having my email address and phone number they never called back. MYOB wouldn't know what customer service was if it hit them on the head!
MYOB's partner MMC Convert has caused a disaster in our company data when doing the conversion from Sage to MYOB. They took longer than the promised date, tax reports don't match by a massive difference (over 500K), Payroll is completely changed (they actually change your data without asking you), all staff were imported as suppliers!, All customers were imported as companies instead of individuals!, data is short dated, you name it!
They told us that our files were too large for their API to handle after doing the job, (our file was only 3 years worth of data!)
My only advice for you is to stay away even if they offer you free conversion. Pay a little money to another specialist rather than creating a disaster for your company.
The product and helpdesk and so bad, I am struggling to find words to convey the level of incompetance.
All the simple questions I asked had to be refered to 'internal service' and the promised phone contact never eventuates. Ren who answered my call tried her best, but was extremely limited in her knowledge.
All this capped off by a quote increaseing my monthly subscription by $30 per month. Outrageous. I had heard from my accounting friends that MYOB had lost ground and many customers, and now I can see why.
Customer Service of limited knowledge and unable to help me. Obviously the service is based overseas, their is always a communication problem.......... I have tried 3 times now and still no answer to something quite basic. I have been with MYOB since the beginning and see no improvement with their product. I should have listened to a friend and gone with Xerox.
Shanika called today and was extremely helpful with a number of points I was trying to sort through.
Before you buy the software at few thousand dollars, you need to know that you have to do regular file activiation which a waste of time, and frustration. After some period of time, they will force you to upgrade your software with a fee, without doing it your file will be locked and you cant use it. Other softwares do not have this. Do not buy this software.
If you are thinking of uploading and using the team kiosk app from MYOB think again! The app freezes up and errors frequently, particularly when employees go to enter their finish time. The only way of fixing the "cant find business" error is to delete the app and upload it again, at which time the employee time entry is lost. So frustrating.
The other thing is that the app cannot rotate from portrait mode, so if you have the app displayed in an ipdad on a static square stand the display is sideways. Super dumb. Needs urgent upgrade/fixes.
