I used to enjoy shopping in Muji, and I've always found their stores offer a nice experience, stocked with a lot of quality homeware items; it's just a shame their current customer service doesn't mirror this. In fact, their customer service is nonexistent nowadays. I've been trying to get a replacement item since late December, but so far nothing, and now I fear I'm being ghosted. Retail is in a sorry state these days, and customer service across the board is at rock bottom, and Muji seems to be the latest member of this sorry club. 

I placed an order on the 14/11/24 and the shipping is still pending. It is currently the 26/11/24. I have contacted Muji Eu twice and have received no response. Like other reviews said, I should have avoided purchasing anything from their online store. For such a well respected brand, this is appalling and feels like a massive scam.

I should read the comment before place order. As other people said. Waited a week. Got a notification to say you ordered 10 items but only 2 available. First time customer. Will not be using them again. It is ridiculous and wasted my time.

I ordered a USB Oscillating desk fan from Muji. It arrives defective: the fan clicks when it moves fully in one direction. I sent support a video where the clicking sound is clearly audible.

Support (Rayan) has refused to believe me, demand I send it in for "investigation" (wanting me to wait at home all day for collection when I work full time?), and ignored my responses for over a week. It's very clear they don't believe me, and want to take it in only to tell me there's nothing wrong with it.

I have had other negatives experiences with the overall quality of Muji products over the past couple years. It's just not as high quality as it used to be. It's a shame. Years ago I asked them for a replacement plug for my diffuser and they sent me one, no question, free of charge. It seems the era of good customer service is over.

This will be the last time I purchase from the company as the price does not reflect the quality you receive: both in the product itself, and the support you get.

They are also AGONISINGLY SLOW to ship anything.

Bought a handbag which was featured as such in The Guardian. It was a flimsy shopping bag. Ridiculously overpriced for what it was. No firm base, which it must have had in the website photos as it didn't sag and stood up on its own. Arrived in a plastic mail bag, no inner wrapper, tissue paper, protection.

Bought the worst boxer shorts I have ever had. £8 each, utter rubbish! When they came out of the dryer they lost their colour and were as crumpled as you can possibly imagine. I don't have the time to spend 20 minutes on ironing one piece of underwear! they go straight in the bin. Never again will I buy from Muji.

Awful shipping and poor customer service. Ordered non-furniture stuff, and still waited a few weeks to get it shipped, ok that’s fine because they already warned that they are super busy.
At the day of delivery, the tracking shows it was delivered and the signature is a stranger. Ok fine, this is carrier’s fault. So I contacted DHL and they did investigation and replied: oops looks like it’s been delivered and we cannot help you if you didn’t receive yet, pls contact your shipper as they normally has special contract & insurance with carrier. Ok fine, it’s just another stupid logistics case.
Simultaneously I contacted Muji customer service, again, took a few weeks to receive a reply: oops looks like it’s been delivered and signed, so cannot do anything now.
I never had such poor e-commerce customer service and will definitely not trust to buy from Muji EU anymore.
I hope the money for my order is in a good place for a good reason as I am not here to donate a store that is not doing anything helpful.

Ordered a coat. Waited a week. Got a notification to say order was cancelled. First time customer. Will not be using them again. Read their FAQs: can't track orders; got to pay for returns. They need to up their game. Awful experience all round. I was hoping my experience would be better, but sadly not.

Added items to basket and checkout. After payment information filled and submitted, it showed a page with message "blocked" and a line of strange characters. Checked that payment was done on bank app but no order found here. Contacted this shop by filling form but no reply for whole day. Contacted my bank and need to wait for a month for the refund. What a terrible online shop...

Terrible experience. Bought products on 23rd Oct and it is now 2nd November and not one update. I will have to try and get money back through bank.

Muji products are of great quality.

But the website isn't working properly. It's a really painful experience to try to order anything.
Because of the bugs I had a duplicate order.

The support was extremely efficient and detailed in what happening (refund the duplicate order) etc.

So 3 stars because of producct quality and good customer support.
2 missing stars because they really need to fix the website.

Worst website experience ever!
Everything that could possibly go wrong, does. It's like a joke. Don't be cheap and hire some devs please

Unless you live in London near a store and can go in and physically take it away. Not cool for the rest of the UK not near a store Muji - Cheers.

Their online site is ATROCIOUS. Site down for days, then finally said doesn't recognise product (using their own product name), then can't load pages, then can't click through to pay...and so on!
They did me a favour as i stupidly was about to pay a £30 delivery charge to get two small storage draws delivered. You would think for this money it would be next day or a few days - NOPE!

Will look to buy elsewhere as not bothering with Muji again. Tedious and annoying.

I only persevered as dimensions were perfect but gave up in the end. Like i say, think it was a good thing as their delivery is apparently shocking too.
(Note - i just got something delivered from America to UK and it was cheaper and quicker than a UK to UK muji delivery for a smaller item!)

Muji has great, simple products, has had for years...when I lived near one.
Otherwise SORT IT OUT MUJI. Dreary me, what a chore/waste of time. I cannot believe in 2023, a company cannot sort its online offering or delivery out properly.

Did not receive a confirmation email after ordering, no news on wether my parcel has been shipped. Ended up with a missed delivery and had to collect from the Royal Mail Delivery Office which was a complete hassle as someone who does not have a car. Given that they charge you 4£ to ship a small parcel (and no, there is no free delivery with minimum spend like what 99% of other companies offer), 2nd class shipping is not acceptable.

Also their customer service is non-existent so in the likely event your parcel goes missing by Royal Mail, there's literally no way to get your money back. The website is also unusable, keeps crashing and I gave up using it a couple of times.

Muji UK should honestly just rename themselves to Muji London, since realistically, unless you're lucky enough to shop in store, there's a high risk that you will never receive your delivery if you order online.

Horribel webbsida. Går inte ladda och framförallt inte betala. Lyckades till slut göra betalning men då drog de pengarna två gånger. Ingen orderbekräftelse på mail och på webbsidan stod det bara ett felmeddelande. Ett så stort företag borde väl kunna ha en fungerande hemsida och även kundtjänst som det går att få tag på.

Website is awful pages do not load, I filled in online questions I had regarding a product no response. I keep thinking this business is going under. Due to lack of anything working or responses. I do love Muji products they are excellent if you can manage to put in an online order.

If you want to feel living in Japan in 1923, use Muji services. Delivery takes 20 days - can u believe it? Goods from China wouldn't take for 20 days! It's not even international shipment. UK to UK shipment takes 20 days in average!! Wow the delivery guy must be riding a horse 🐎 I perched on 23rd and today they contacted me 'oh one of your products is out of stock'. After 11 days ???? Then saying 'thanks for confirming, it will arrive within 5 days without tracking' I paid 5 quid for delivery. Seriously awful business. Thanks for teaching me Japanese style 👌

Horrible website experience. Too slow, too buggy, not mobile optimized. It is impossible to switch to click and collect delivery option. The worst experience I've ever had with an online store.
