M&T Bank el peor Banco de New York no les recomiendo abran cuenta ahí yo trabajo por mi cuenta me transfieren los pagos de Limpieza a través de Zelle no an tenido ningún reporte en cuanto a mi persona y el Banco me tiene en investigación más de 60 días reteniendo mi dinero en la cuenta no me dan solución ninguna es el peor Banco que pueda existir.

I opened an account with M&t Bank on April 8th, 2024 through the "TE" promotion. I met the requirements and I didn't receive the promotion as advertised. Get $400 by having a direct deposit of $1000 or more within 90 days of account opening, which I had multiple into the account. I have contacted this bank and they refuse to honor my bonus and pay me out according to their own terms. This bank is a fraudulent scammer. Do not under any circumstance bank with this company. They make it very hard to even open an account or link another bank to this one so that you can transfer money into it. Then after they have you jumping through hoops for months, they wont even honor their own terms and pay out their bonus. Under ANY circumstance do not trust this bank at all. You have been WARNED.

Bank in Manchester is terrible. The tellets take all day doing the simplest tasks. They snoop around your account information being nosey when you're simply making a deposit. They have lengthy conversations with customers when there is a line. They are invasive and I don't feel safe with these tellers taking extensive browsing times just to make an easy deposit of cash. As if I'm up to something. Seems suspect. I use the ATM, but sometimes a bill will get rejected and I dread having to go inside and deal with these slow as molasses tellers.

Worst bank ever. Stay away. They closed my account with no warning and for no reason. I am a military veteran and they even captured my last direct deposit without any logical explanation. They treat customers with distain and arrogance.

FIX YOUR APP AND WEBSITE, YOU CAN'T LOG IN AND FINALLY ONCE IT HAPPENS YOU CAN NOT PAY YOUR MORTGAGE. VERY VERY LAGGY AND UNSTABLE

This app has been the worst app I've ever used.
I switched to M&T mortgage and checking two years ago and have had issues since day one. The app never loads until possibly the 10-12th time you've made the attempt. Had I known I would always have this much trouble trying to look at my transactions or make quick transfers, I would never have moved my accounts to them.

The customer service here is horrible. They do not set their representatives up for success. I needed help with my escrow balance and understanding and the woman told me sorry I don’t have access to that so I can’t help you. She told me she can’t access the m&t bank dashboard at all - what are these representatives for if they can’t tell me where to find something? Such a waste of time and so frustrated when I am trying to be educated and understand my mortgage payments. Very disappointed in you M&T.

I went to the Supermarket on yesterday used a M&T Bank ATM for withdrawal of $90.00 to pay my bill. When I put my card in a minute later the ATM machine malfunctioned gave me my bank card back. The money didn't give me my $90.00 or a receipt.I attempted to do the transaction again and was informed by the M&T Bank ATM machine I didn't have the funds which was incorrect.The M&T Bank ATM withdrawal machine stole my $90.00. I called a phone number on the M&T Bank withdrawal machine about the situation. I was informed to go into a local branch of M&T Bank. When I went inside the M&T Bank . They gave me a (Dispute Confirmation Summary )and told me. They didn't know when I was going to get my money back or if I was going to get it back from M&T Bank. I can't pay my bill now. I am currently considering leaving the company called M&T bank and going to another bank if I do not get my money back.

Would give 0 stars if I could! This company is completely 100% UNETHICAL, IMMORAL, GREEDY, UNPROFESSIONAL, BUNCH OF BULLIES & LIARS NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM ESPECIALLY HAVE A MORTGAGE WITH THEM! The collection department is littered with bullies, liars, harassing sarcastic employees! WORST BANK EVER TO HAVE A MORTGAGE WITH, DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY, RESEARCH LAWS FOR YOURSELF THEY WILL STRAIT LIE TO YOU!!! DEMONIC SOULLESS EMPLOYEES IN THE COLLECTION DEPARTMENT! FACTS! They lied to me & harassed me, (I have it on audio recorder!) The employee told me that even though I was signed up with & had active status for a government program to pay my mortgage due to refusal to take the Covid vaccine that they would still proceed with foreclosure and that I needed to catch up my payments or else I would be foreclosed on anyways. I called back & spoke with Mike Krauss Supervisor over collections & he was just as sarcastic & be little ingredient as the other employee with same lies even after I gave my application number for the government program I was signed up for. THEY ARE STRAIT LIARS & BULLIES AND WITH HOLD LAWS FROM YOU. Like not telling me if I wanted them to not call me, I have to send a written letter per TN state mortgagee laws even though they ask you if they can call u and I told them no due to harassment every time by their collection department employees! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ONLY THEIR GREED OF MONEY, STRAIT FACTS! ABSOLUTELY 100% DO NOT USE M&T BANK FOR ANYTHING EVER UNLESS U LIKE BEING LIED TO, HARASSED, & BULLIED!

This bank is THE WORST I have ever dealt with. I have been waiting on an overpayment refund check for weeks. I have reached out to them several times a week to get information on where my money is. I was assured the check had been mailed out on the date given to the PO Box provided, but I advised I still had not received it. Today I contacted them again and was told that the check was mailed to a physical address and not the address that I provided, not once, not twice, but every time I called. So now I asked that they overnight the check to me as I will be traveling for the next several months. I was told that I could have it overnighted but that I would have to provide a credit card and pay the fee for it. When I told M&T Bank that it was their mistake and if they had mailed it where I had stated, I would have it by now. I was told, "Tough, too bad, we are not paying for it. The check will go out in regular snail mail to the PO Box." WOW! They have caused me all these issues and now can't even step up to the plate to make a customer happy. Some customer service they have!

M & T Bank’s web site and mobile app is possibly the worst experience you can have on the web. Clear your cache, try multiple browsers, etc. and your login attempts will fail.

M & T was running a special that if you deposit a certain amount and make some many transfers in a certain period of time, you get cash deposited to your account. Nothing that other banks have not run. Our problem began when we went to the branch to open the accounts. The branch was unaware of the special, which is not unusual. What was unusual was us convincing tge branch the special existed. After referring them to the M&T website, they reluctantly agreed and opened tge accounts. Important to mention that the branch people were nice.

Unfortunately, when we got home to open online account, we discovered my wife's name was misspelled on branch paperwork and I got no paperwork, just a copy of my wife's work. So, we returned to the branch to fix the errors. No big deal. We were not upset. The branch apologized and Errors corrected, we went home.

My wife successfully opened her online account and attempted to transfer funds from another bank, but online message indicated to call fraud dept, which apparently is M&T SOP when first attempting to transfer funds. Then I tried the same process with coaching from my wife online, since she is the "techy" and not I and
the fraud dept would not verify my ID because my wife was on phone with me and told me to go to a branch and hung up on me. I thought it must be a mistake. I called back and hung up on me a 2nd time.

For a 3rd time we had to return to the branch. Needless to say we were not happy. Unfortunately, the branch did not appear to be happy to see us either. After much consternation and conference call with fraud dept and multiple questions, we were told in 20 minutes our account would be unlocked.

Went home and account was still locked. After multiple phone calls, we were finally able to unlock account, change passcode and transfer money. Total time spent in branch or on phone to deposit money in M&T bank 4 HOURS. The branch people were nice and apologetic. Our problem was with the rudeness of the fraud dept. Worst and most painful bank experience ever.

They suck. I thought they were nice. C they won't release my money. They claim they are investigating. That's ridiculous. I'm suing. The check is for 606. The branch us useless. Because of them I can't pay my bills. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM

M&T bank limits access both thru the Internet and their phone app. I have complained numerous times and they do nothing to fix their Internet access tools. Is it illegal for a bank to make it impossible to access your account?? See all of the complaints about this and they do nothing

We bought an RV from Pete’s RV in Chesapeake VA (another horror story) in August ‘23, and they used M&T for the loan. Paid off the loan in February ‘24 and in March registered it with our town and went on vacation. It is now April and the State had sent the title to M&T but they say they don’t have it. “Sorry, call us back in 3 to 4 more day and see if the title department has received it yet”. Place is a joke!

Without having an appt my husband & I were greeted by Joellen Granchelli to assist us with a business matter. It was obvious we entered at a busy time of the day. However Joellen was kind, professional, informative & patient in assisting us. She went out of her way to ensure all our questions were answered & that we were satisfied with our business affair. She exemplified sincere interest & caring in helping us which is a rarity in today's times. It was a pleasure having her assist us. Joellen is a definite asset to M&T Bank.
