As soon as we arrived we were greeted but not in a pushy way but a "we're here if you need just give us a shout. Looked around for hours and after almost giving up (I'm picky) found the car I really wanted. Asked for a test drive and was given the keys with no one sat in car being pushy. Sold. Got my audi a6 and also had a great experience.

No sign of cash after FOUR days
Went to the Newport centre Wales for about 12noon and they took away my car. After about 20 mins the gay came back and said the online valuation is correct and if you agree the money will be in the bank in just a few minutes. That was Friday and now its Tuesday and still no money despite a phone call, an app chat and 2 emails to Lewis the assistant manager. Feeling very ignored and worried its a 15k car and I need the cash. Issue resolved after 4 days, seems it was weekend banking issues.

Aftercare has let them down this time!
I have financed over the years around 6 cars from motorpoint and never had any issues, they’ve always been helpful and aftercare has been good if I have had a little problem.
However this time hasn’t been the same, I am only trying to ask a question about an issue I flagged 2 days after taking out the finance ( about the car) and have been ignored via email 4 times now despite repeated chases. Really disappointed considering I always give them my custom over the years

Do not go near this company with a barge pole my daughter at 18 bought a honda civic cash with all her savings. The car had marks on the paint work she was assured they would be sorted so they buffed the mark out and it came back the following day. Took the car back and they buffed it again .as you can guess the marks came back .
I've since been to a top class body shop and been told the mark is under the paint from when the whole driver side of the car was painted so now we are left with a paint shop bill .
Very poor customer service.

Avoid Motorpoint at all costs
Avoid Motorpoint at all costs. I bought a car from them in December, spending over £20,000.
Within a few months the car developed an engine rattle when started. It has been to two separate garages, neither of which can diagnose the issue. The car has just had a service and the MOT came back with an advisory for a wheel bearing, something that should not be happening on a car I’ve owned for barely six months.
I purchased the two‑year extended warranty, sold to me as “peace of mind” for any future faults. In reality, it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.
You can’t get through to the warranty company the phone line is constantly busy and disconnects.
The warranty won’t cover the wheel bearing because it “hasn’t failed yet,” and now that I’m aware of the issue, they say it won’t be covered even if it does fail.
Motorpoint themselves refuse to help because I “can’t prove” the fault existed at the point of sale yet they can’t prove it didn’t, but because they’ve already taken my money, they’ve washed their hands of it.
As for the engine rattle, I’ve been told I must authorise and pay for the investigation myself, and only if the fault fits within their vague, never‑properly‑explained policy will they consider covering it. So I’m expected to gamble more money on a car that’s already proving to be a financial risk.
I asked for a refund for the warranty because it’s clearly useless, and again I was told I “can’t prove it was mis‑sold.” they also can’t prove I was ever told the misleading information that convinced me to buy it.
Motorpoint’s after‑sales support is non‑existent. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. I’m six months into ownership and facing faults, costs, and stress I paid specifically to avoid.
Stay away from Motorpoint. Their warranties are worthless, their customer care disappears the moment the sale is complete, and their refusal to take responsibility is shocking.
