Our journey began 6 months ago and could not have done this without the amazing Laura Dowsett who helped us to get where we are now. My son David has been guided and updated on his first purchase and Laura went that extra mile.

Mortgage first gave so much advice and updated David with better deals on the market when available.

Very poor experience with Mortgages First, specifically with broker Scott Hillier.

Scott initially contacted me and proceeded to submit a mortgage application on my behalf. The application was later declined, which can happen, but the real issue was the complete lack of communication afterwards. I sent several emails over a number of weeks simply asking for clarification on why the application had been declined, and all of them were ignored.

Eventually I received a brief response telling me to contact the lender myself and that they would not be assisting any further. After weeks of silence, this was both unhelpful and unprofessional.

If you’re looking for a broker who communicates and supports you through the process, this was not my experience at all. Very disappointing service.

I had an excellent experience with Mortgages First in regard to the remortgage of my house, including the settlement of my Help to Buy Loan.

Matt was fantastic at explaining the most cost-effective approach for the remortgage, especially given the added complexity of the Help to Buy Loan.

Christine and the rest of the team were also incredibly helpful, answering all of my questions promptly. The entire process felt seamless and straightforward from start to finish.

Great Remortgaging Experience with Tom Haughton! Tom was really excellent with our first mortgage renewal process - particularly following a challenging redundancy. He was always on hand via phone or email with guidance, advice and reassurance! He always helped to explain the options and notify us about rate decreases. Always a pleasure to speak with him! I cannot speak highly enough of my mortgage broker, Bradley. From start to finish, he delivered an exceptional level of service that went far beyond my expectations. Very positive customer relations esp. from Lorraine Shedd. They are also quite accommodating with the meetings/appointments. All enquiries are very promptly answered/addressed.

Alex was excellent at helping us figure out what we could afford and answering all of our questions. Bradley Artus was extremely helpful in all our calls and correspondence. He made the whole process a lot less stressful.

My partner Will and I had a call with Alex yesterday and he was truly fantastic. He explained our options to us clearly, wasn’t in any way pushy, was very open and transparent about the processes and what to expect next, and gave us confidence in proceeding with next steps. He was also very kind and encouraging of our situation. He also called us on a Saturday which was great as we both have busy jobs and work full time. Bradley (Artus) made the whole process of helping me review my mortgage options easy and straightforward. Had everything done to validate me for a new build within an hour. He was polite, engaging, and would 100% recommend him and Mortgages First to help in securing a mortgage.

So I assumed from friends and family’s comments and warnings that getting a mortgage sorted would be a nightmare and endless hassle. Clearly they didn’t use Mortgages First!

Every staff member I spoke to were incredibly friendly, professional and attentive and more than happy to have a human chat throughout the progress which made it feel all the more personal.

Particularly Bradley Artus, couldn’t be more helpful or a more pleasant chap and was supportive throughout and was akin to a dog with a bone when we could progress which is such a change from the normal slow and delayed responses (sorry l called you a dog Brad).

I also interacted with Matt Odel wo equally was supportive, clearly knowledgeable, friendly and even local to my area so could relate to where I was buying which again was a nice bit of circumstance!

All in all, great team, great experience! (And I haven’t even has to pay them due to buying through a scheme, so all this service was just them being good people!)

We have found this company particularly helpful, knowledgeable and they have given us lots of guidance. Bradley, inparticularly, has been a great source of information and has been extremely helpful in our quest. Mqny thanks
