Avoid Asda Mobile
I ordered a SIM from Asda Mobile and it never arrived.
When I checked online, it said I could order a free replacement SIM, but the process tried to force me into signing up for a plan again, which I had already done.
I then contacted customer service, which turned into a complete waste of time. After waiting 3 days for a reply, they asked for 3 letters from my password. I responded straight away, only to wait another 3 days to be told the password details were incorrect.
At that point, I gave up. The whole process was slow, frustrating, and poorly handled from start to finish.
I’ve now opened a case with my card company to try and get my money back and have switched to iD Mobile instead.
Would not recommend. Don’t bother with Asda Mobile.

£5.95 a month for 12 months- whats not to like!
I was on Vodafone - was over £13 a month and didn't give me any roaming at all!! My mum told me she switched to Asda as they run off the Vodafone network anyway! Easy switch, kept my number, more than half the price of the rip off that is Vodafone and I get the same amount of data, free calls and texts plus the added bonus of roaming, data rollover and earning Asda rewards! Very happy indeed

The very worst customer service in the world, abusive agents, total incompetence. I have 2 accounts, they try to take monies before they are due. I would not recommend Asda mobile to my worst enemy.

Took much longer to transfer my old…
Took much longer to transfer my old number to the new sim. They stated a few hour but max within a working day. Took 3 days. However it’s now working.

I'm still waiting for my mobile number and eSIM. I contacted customer support and they promised to get back to me. I still haven't received the email with the eSIM or phone number, but they sent me an email when they took the payment. That was 5 hours ago...

Transferred from another mobile provider and setting up online was problematic and not as straightforward as it should be. Further, online account info versus app info are showing different results for the same info request. Having said that, conracting support personnel was easy with minimal wait time to speak to someone. All working OK but the whole process was not as straight forward as it could/should be.

Asda PAYG sim, no contract.
It was easy to purchase the sim. The calling rates are good. There is only one problem I had, I needed only top-up sim. I can add money and use when I need it. But unfortunately to get the pay as you go sim, I needed to buy first mont with a bundle of minutes and 3 GB internet, then from next month I'm going to leave just sim which I can just add money when I need, no need to buy any bundles, just once in 6 months of course I need to top up or use the sim, so it can stay active. So my problem was, it was saying on the Web you can buy just PAYG sim and top up if you need, but unfortunately it doesn't allow to buy just the sim , you must choose bundle for the first month. Otherwise I'm satisfied with my purchase.
