Love Mob! Great recipes, many that are just fun to make and try out. I also had to work with their Customer Experience team, which was a breeze. An all-around great experience.

App not working

App not working. Money taken. No response to emails. Really terrible - I feel disappointed and disheartened. Would not recommend this app to anyone.

Subscriptions cancelled within the 7 days period and was still charged

I was charged £34.90 for a Mob premium subscription I never actually subscribed to. According to Mob’s policy, if a user cancels a premium subscription, they retain access until the end of the period. After cancelling my trial, I did not have access and the app shows “Start your free week” and I continued to receive promotional emails. This clearly proves I was never a premium subscriber, and therefore the charge was invalid. Mob also claimed I had a website subscription, suggesting I registered both on the app and website - which is impossible and ridiculous, as I never entered payment details on the website and a single login cannot create two separate paid subscriptions.
Despite providing this evidence, Mob is being very difficult and refused to refund the charge. I am escalating this with my bank as the subscription was never active and I never consented to a paid subscription.
The response “I don’t have much information about your situation” proves the bad customer service. Instead of getting in touch to understanding that what I m saying is that the subscription was cancelled within the 7 days trial and I could not possibly have a new one through the website, and with the same email. It was simply an excuse to not refund me after I have proof that the subscription was cancelled. You clearly didn’t read what I wrote by your response. Affirming I have subscribed through the app and website is such a nonsense and you can’t even prove. For what reasons someone would want to double subscribe and pay twice for the same service? This is not even allowed as is not possible to have 2 accounts with the same email. Thankfully I could prove it to my bank and will be having a refund, because this company is a scambag.

I don't have enough information from your review to comment on your specific situation, however upon signing up for a Mob Premium subscription, whether that's on the website or the app we do let you know that after the trial period the subscription will roll on to a paid plan.

The way to cancel your subscription depends on whether you bought your subscription on the website or on the app. If for whatever reason someone has ended up with a separate web and app subscription, cancelling on one platform will not cancel the other plan.

All users are entitled to a 14 day cooling off period in which you can cancel for a refund, both from the start date of the subscription and then upon annual renewal. As long as you get in touch within these 14 days, you should be eligible for a refund.

Can't imagine life without mob now!

I can't imagine my life without mob now. I've been using it for over three months now and it's already changed how I view cooking.
I've never liked cooking and I don't think I will ever love it as for me there's always something else I'd rather be doing. With mob though I no longer hate cooking, and I don't dread thinking up what to make. We've enjoyed every recipe so far and there are still so many that we'd like to try.

I hardly waste any food now as I only buy what is needed. It also makes the food shop really easy.

Just in the short time I've been using it, I've seen improvements to the app and recipes. It's a simple idea but very well executed. For me the paid version is well worth it. I'm leaving a review on here because my friends are getting bored of me going on about this app now but I still want to tell everyone about it!

Do not subscribe to this app…

Do not subscribe to this app…. It doesn’t work and there is no customer support. I signed up, paid my money, but the app wouldn’t let me login, I contacted the ‘support’ email multiple times and have not had any response from anyone except an ai bot. Totally unacceptable, they are very happy to take your money but no response when it goes wrong.

Awful AI customer service

They took the money for. re subscription without any prior warning. I cannot get through to an actual human to request a refund, the AI response is unhelpful. I just want a refund!!

Great app, bad customer service

Great app, love the concept but the customer service was appalling - the AI bot basically blocked any human contact and couldnt answer my query.
Good product but sort out your customer service!

Fantastic subscription

Fantastic subscription. Has got me back into the habit of following simple recipes - I'm enjoying cooking for myself again and intend to gift some subscriptions this Christmas! Huge recipe bank, great variety and new recipes popping up all the time.

This is the first meal planner that does it all

This is the first meal planner that fits my family’s style of eating - lot’s of vegetables, but real food with big flavours. Spoilt for choice! And not just recipes - all the functionality you need for easy meal-planning and cooking. You can create your own weekly meal plans, change portions and get shopping lists. You can also search by ingredients to use up what you have on hand, and many recipes have short films making it really easy to get an overview before cooking. So much better than scrolling for recipes, more than enough variation plus the structure to actually get cooking.

Love Mob and have enjoyed using the app…

Love Mob and have enjoyed using the app having used their books and social media prior to joining.
The app searches possibly could do with a little refinement as I am sure I have missed out on some of the recipes when looking for some inspiration.
Recipes are varied, imaginative and inspiring.

Highly recommend!

The recipes on Mob have made cooking for the family so much more interesting .There is always something for every dietary need and is my easy go to weekly meal planner. I have recommended Mob to many friends and will continue to use this as long as the recipes keep coming!

Awful Customer Service...

At the time of purchasing a subscription for a year, I found I actually never used the app for recipes, tips etc. One year on, I had no notification that the next subscription was imminent...had I have known I would have cancelled the £35 payment. Instead it came out at a very inopportune time that made my bank account go in to the red. I contacted them immediately to ask for a refund, heard nothing back - no receipt of acknowledgement for the email, or they will look in to the issue and get back to me. They have totally ignored all messages (two emails and one via social media). After having read other comments regarding the dreadful Customer Service, there seems to be a trend with avoiding customer resolution. Absolutely awful level of customer service and I do not recommend.

Excellent customer service…

The true colors of a company come out when you have a problem to resolve. I had to cancel my subscription just due to lack of time, not because of any dissatisfaction with Mob. It was handled professionally and quickly. After my initial request, I was asked for further information. My refund was issued within a minute of my sending the email with the requested information. I appreciate the professionalism and kindness, and it tells me everything I need to know about Mob. Thank you, Charlie. You represent the company really well. Hopefully I will be back!

Offered trial but charged for a year.

Was offered a 7 day trial but was charged for the year immediately. Refunding through Google Play isn't possible and Mob ignores you on literally every communication channel. Terrible service and the app isn't worth the money either.

Beware of inability to Cancel

If I was able to provide minus star I would. I have been contacting them to cancel my trial subscription before it took payment from the Wednesday, payment taken Saturday and now on the Monday are still not able to illicit a response from anyone either by email or through the app.

The best and quickest way to cancel your subscription will always be to do this yourself either through your app subscriptions or your account on the website, depending on how you initially signed up.

Replied to bad review but still waiting for a reply to complaint- No customer service or way to cancel free trail

Funny how they reply quicker to a bad review than a complaint, weeks later still nonmsg from customer service but they replied within 2 days to my review here. The filter they talk about does not work, its all chicken n noodles. Rubbish company reselling you recipies that are free on the internet. Give you no where to cancel free trail, customer service does not respond.Sent over 10 messages and had to cancel my card in the end as they tried to take 34.99 a day off me! The recipes are all really basic and if you dont like asian food with chilli in everything dont bother anyway. All the recipes are things available free online. Save your money and hassle and dont bother!

As I mentioned in response to your app store review, we have over 3000 recipes on the app, of which a very small percentage have chilli or are asian inspired. We have a great search feature that you can use to filter out what you don't want to eat, and I'm confident that if you used it you'd be able to find recipes that you'd love.

We are not a scam - our customer support team work hard to respond to as many users as possible within 24hrs, however they have been busier than usual recently. the easiest and quickest way to cancel is always to do this yourself either through your app subscriptions or on the website.

Cancellation impossible

Es ist unmöglich das Free Trial zu stornieren. Am Handy (iOS) wird es nicht unter Abonnements geführt. In der App wird dorthin verwiesen bzw. dazu geraten es am Desktop zu probieren. Auch dort geht es nicht, denn dort wird vorgeschlagen es am Handy zu machen.
Email an help geschrieben, aber keine Antwort erhalten. Wenn ich die Ratings hier lese, habe ich wenig Hoffnung dass das Problem rechtzeitig gelöst wird. Ripp off!

Update: Das Problem wurde rechtzeitig durch den Support gelöst, zum Glück. Ihr solltet jedoch diesen Bug lösen! Man kann sich mit einer Apple-Secure-Anmeldung nicht mehr eigenständig vom Abo abmelden. Das funktioniert nur durch den Support!

The cancellation process to follow depends on where you bought your subscription, so if you can't see the Mob app in your app subscriptions, it means you'll need to log in to your account at www.mob.co.uk/account to cancel your subscription.

We aim to respond to everyone within 24 working hours of receiving your email, however the team are very busy at the moment, so it might take a little longer to get back to you.

I couldn't figure out a way to cancel…

I couldn't figure out a way to cancel my subscription from my account, so I reached out to customer service and they did it for me straight away, everything was resolved in a couple of days.

Platform needs work…

I’m in the USA so this review is coming from that lens. I absolutely loved the way it generates shopping list when you add the a recipe. That was my fav feature!! Would love if the measurements were in American metrics (I hate that I said that but it’s true), the meal definitely had more of a British sensibilities. I’m Mexican and didn’t see lots of recipes that spoke to me and some of the steps were confusing. I made the spicy lentils yesterday and it was unclear if the cauliflower went into the lentils or not. That happened a few times. Maybe having a video option would make it more user friendly. Lastly, canceling the subscription should have not taken as many steps as it did.
