Second time I have used Mixam. Excellent quality and great customer service! They response to questions in timely fashion and genuinely seem interested in helping you get your project off the ground. One start off because I paid for expedited shipping and it arrived a day late which was kind of critical for this particular project. Will definitely be using them again.

The book quality was fantastic and it was done in such good time.

It took a while to get them to respond, but once they did, they were accommodating and ensured the order was handled properly.

The book was beautifully done the colours were crisp and clear

I made a 488 page book. Hard cover/bound. 8 copies. I had already created my book using my own template but the size couldn’t be printed. Not a problem, I reformatted the book to work. When I uploaded my book over half the pictures (200) did not show up. I went back and forth with a few agents. Some were helpful and went over and above. Some only did the most basic attempt to help. It took 3 different uploads and in the end I had to redo all of them. What I thought would be a straight forward upload and print turned into over a month of reformatting and speaking with agents. I tried to just start from scratch and make my book inside the Mixam builder - but it was so frustrating as the site was so slow and it was taking over 20 min per page. With the size of my book, this lag time was not acceptable with an attempt to redo the book in attempt to facilitate printing and proper imaging. When all was said and done I was excited to finally see my book submitted to print. Shipping was my next hurdle as shipping to my house was $300 and shipping to my MIL was $25. My order was costly and I was trying to save where I could so I shipped to another province as I knew I would be visiting in 4 weeks and could get them at that location for the cheaper shipping. Upon opening the packaging the books were packaged well. Good quality. Accurate delivery time. Very happy with the product on first inspection. Only one photo didn’t show up (despite many proof reads and not seeing that file as problematic - it was there on proofread). I first gave one book to my mom. After 15 min of gently turning pages, the hard cover came completely unglued. I am now scared to give out the rest. I created a family heirloom and the cost of the order was $1000. I did not expect the hardcover to disconnect. So despite being impressed at first glance, I am now sad that 2 years of work is literally now „falling apart“.

We've had nothing but great service with Mixam. The team is really great at proofing projects and noticing errors, which can be fixed prior to printing. As well, I have found the online chat very useful at times, particularly when I used their own design program. Our products are always incredibly beautiful; we love the soft-touch lamination! Lastly, the service we've received from Luma & Sheila in insuring we meet deadlines has been nothing short of outstanding. We , at The Calibrated Wrist, will continue using Mixam, and we highly recommend them.

Every part of the experience has been great with the exception of one thing. Many of my books have adhesive spots and smudges on them. In most cases they rub off, but in several, there's still a slight smudge remaining.

I just started up a micropress to publish chapbooks and ephemera — a proof-of-concept to start, and now three launch titles. I'm completely satisfied with the results so far. Great print quality, quick turn-around, interface easy to navigate. Looking forward to doing more with this printer.

The final product is everything I asked for and more! I had a few problems with my first print and they answered as soon as I reached back to them! They helped me solve my format mistakes and even offered to reprint, which I was incredibly grateful for. Delivery was seamless and my packages always came on time if not earlier and to the right address. I’m 100% satisfied and will definitely be using mixam the next time I ever need to print something or even if I decide to reprint in a bigger batch!
