Aylesbury branch. 16 year old son couldn’t have a non alcoholic cocktail because apparently the staff wouldn’t be able to tell whether the drink contained alcohol or not - even though they serve the drinks and would know?! Just serve it in a different glass then for goodness sake. Utter madness. The garnish on both the starters and mains was the most sorry, limp, dry, dead looking excuse for a bit of green I’d ever seen. Just leave it off the plate entirely if it looks like that, don’t bother! So off putting. The onion loaf was completely undercooked with soggy, floury centre. This place is a complete and utter disappointment.

My partner and i visited for my birthday meal.
The Long Island Ice tea were perfect and everything we ordered arrive in a timely manner. Joe at the Stratford Upon Avon Restaurant was a particular stand out for friendly and professional service. Thankyou

Ate at the Wolverhampton branch to celebrate our son’s passing his A levels.
As we sat down the we found we had a very wobbly table , the waitress had to get some door wedges to stop it rocking so much which helped but I had to move to the other half of the table.
Also throughout our meal we had some flies that kept hovering over our food which as you can imagine really didn’t add to a nice ambiance and could have spoilt an important occasion.
However the saving grace was our waitress Yvonne who was friendly , attentive and had a good sense of humour.
Also the food of course was amazing , we had the Wagyu steaks ,expensive but so so good.
So mixed review but an honest and I think fair one.

Service at the Herne Bay branch was very good; however, it didn't meet my expectations of a quality steakhouse. Quality steak house prices for an average steak.

I wont be going back due to the poor value

I visited Bexley steakhouse for lunch with a friend a few weeks ago. We chose the two-course meal from the fixed-price Lunch Menu, advertised at £19.95 per person. We also had four small alcohol-free beers, priced at £8 for two.
We had our meal, paid the bill and left. A few days later, while going through my receipts, I happened to look at the bill again and noticed that we had been charged £72.35.
That immediately didn't add up. The two £19.95 meals (£39.90) plus £16 for the four beers should have come to £55.90, so there was a £16.45 difference that I couldn't explain.
A few days later, I happened to be passing the restaurant and went in to ask about it. The person at reception initially couldn't explain the difference either. For several minutes, she suggested various reasons for the additional charge, none of which made sense.
Eventually, I was pointed towards some small print on the menu stating that there is an £8 supplement per meal.
I then asked a very simple question: What exactly is this supplement for, and why are these meals presented as part of a £19.95 set menu if there is actually an additional £8 charge per person?
The explanation I received did not make the pricing any clearer. I was eventually told: “But Sir, the extra fee is visible.”
Yes, apparently it was “visible” — which is why it took around five minutes for the staff member to find it and explain the £16 additional charge.
Honestly, this is not how customers should be treated. People go to restaurants to enjoy a meal and spend time with friends, not to examine menus like insurance contracts looking for small-print additional charges. There are much better ways than this one if you want to make few extra pounds.
If a meal costs £27.95, then it should be advertised as £27.95. Calling it a £19.95 set menu and then adding an £8 supplement per person (almost 50%) is, at the very least, confusing and leaves a very poor impression to not use stronger words.
It's particularly disappointing because I actually liked the place. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion. I would not return and, based on this experience, I would not recommend it to others. If you still want to visit the place, my advice is take your time to read the menu as God knows what else can be hidden there!

P.S. A little advice to the management, or whoever is responsible for your menus: it might be worth taking a look at the Consumer Rights Act 2015 before printing the next batch. From a consumer’s perspective, the way these additional charges are presented does not appear particularly transparent or compliant with the principles of clear pricing.

Had a lovely meal in Bath today. The food was excellent. All 3 steaks cooked as requested. Izzy our waitress was outstanding and very helpful.
Have visited few times and always a good experience.

A bit disappointing for the price. Ruined a birthday night out unfortunately but staff were nice

No Sunday dinner at all for 1 person even though they advertise Sunday dinner but only for 2 sharing. Also forced to pay for a 3 course meal, when my mother only wanted 1. Staff not helpful. Service was extremely slow We will not be retuning!

We. Went out for a meal first time this year previous meals were very good at miller and carter Northampton, we ordered drinks they arrived when we had started our starters , I ordered 8oz sirloin with Beef dripping sauce which I struggled to finish, we could not manage a dessert But we had to pay full price off the menu when we ordered mid week saver , after going home 2 hours later I was really poorly with a bad stomach, this lasted Two days I submitted to them what had happened but no reply, I will not chance going there again ,

Went to the Albert Dock in Liverpool, terrible service and also when you order a pint of beer you get about 90% of the glass full, we have eaten at lots of miller and carter's and they have all been fine this one I would definitely give a miss.

Only my cocktail was good. First they took an hour and a half to serve us and the food was horrible and everyone around us was saying the same things. The waitress was talking so much that she couldn’t understand what we were saying. Definitely I don’t recommend this steakhouse. Location :Poulton-le-Fylde

Hubby and I decided to visit the Rayleigh branch for a special lunch. What a shame we never got to eat anything! It started with us standing for ages for a staff member to show us a table even though a member was there when we walked in but just looked at us and walked off. I had to go around to the bar to find someone however they were all too busy chatting. Whilst we waited the woman who walked off had happily left paperwork, a spread sheet showing what the daily and weekly targets were. It was a large amount but with customer service so poor I don't think the figures will be met .Finally a lady came to show us to a table. It was very hot and stuffy ,not sure if there was Air con but it certainly wasn't on . When we ordered a drink she said there was no ice but the drink would be cold ! Well, that was it why did they not have ice on the hottest days on record. So we cancelled the order and left. Will never go back and its sad as it is local however we will travel the Chelmsford who always give fabulous service.

We had such a lovely evening, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server Apostolos. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and had a great sense of humour. He made us laugh throughout the evening and really helped create such a fun atmosphere. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time, and his positive attitude really stood out. Thank you for making our night so enjoyable.

Didn't have either T-bone or Cote de boeuf at 7pm on a Friday night. Couldn't make several cocktails as they didn't have the right ingredients. No horseradish. This is not a serious restaurant, spend your money elsewhere. Utter crap.

Pre booking 2 days early we were told no availability at that time, which was fine so arranged an earlier reservation. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived and the same on leaving. The staff were amazing you couldn’t fault them at all.
From arriving our order was taken within 15 mins but nearly 40 mins later our drinks arrived. We ordered and food came not long after which was great. I had numerous options I could choose as a side with my steak and ordered the rocket and tomato salad. My meal arrived and nothing was said from server, so started eating my meal. Then I realised my rocket salad had no rocket just lettuce and tomato.
I chose that salad wanting rocket not lettuce so ask if I could get the salad ordered. It wasn’t a problem it was going to be brought over straight away only to be told they have no rocket.
Having none is fine but I should have been told and asked if I would like another option for my side!
I won’t go back.
Disappointed

Understaffed, no one took any of our drink order when we arrive to our table. food was cold, had to ask the waiter to order our drinks

Booked in at the M5 Junction 25 Taunton restaurant site for a birthday party of 10.
Having had a look at the menus was expecting a very good night as the menu look professional and well presented, very sadly looks are definitely not everything.
The service was exceptionally slow, I must add given the lack off staffing this was not a surprise. The food arrived undercooked when it eventually arrived, after making a complaint we had a profusion of apologies and excuses from the staff.
In the end of a very poor night we did receive a discount for poor service and less than average food.
Will we come again? I definitely think not.
Extremely overpriced for extremely poor food and service, shameful.

As a piece of advice, you cannot run a food established on the cheap by cutting out the staffing, or employing staff who no not what they are doing.
Just common sense!

We attended miller and Carter Stevenage on a whim and as always the food was incredible. Our waiter Mel was very courteous and patient with our indecisive family. When questioning an error on the bill due to a till error, staff were very quick to resolve the issue and apologise. We will visit again shortly.

Just moved back to the Southside. What a Fabulous meal we had last night - the food was really good, as was my red wine recommended by our very attentive waiter Graham. Graham is a credit to your business …he was so aware of everyone and what was needed, he was excellent! Thank you , we will be back!
