Very quick to promise the world but have been chasing for an update and consistently been over promised actions. Over 6 months in and still no home visits concluded or update provided even though this was promised back in July

Terrible company to deal with. I’ve been asking for proof of monies owed and they’ve been unable To provide this- they don’t listen. It’s a simple request
I’ve provided evidence and this hasn’t been looked at or discussed with me . Terrible company a load of ‘bully boys ‘

Ten months & all they have done is phone the debtor & send letters with no response. I could have done this & got the same result, no home visits or face to face contact, I have absolutely no faith in term ever recovering the debt I am owed, No reply to emails or calls as they say they will respond within 2 working days ? One star is over generous for this lethargic company, total waste of time.
They last contacted me & asked for previous negative reviews to be removed & promised fast action, there are continents that drift faster. AVOID.

This company is a rubbish... this company never response.. don't trust this company!

Absolutely abysmal service.
Shoddy dealings, very poor to zero communications.
Business practice seems to benefit more from upfront fees than any commitment to chasing debts.
Lower on the food chain than the debtors they profess to chase for payment.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Liz at McVicar took my case on, and with in a couple of days had resolved the issue with a client, who was a bad debt. Swift action by Liz and the matter got sorted out. Brilliant

Very disappointed with how I have been treated. I don't get regular updates. My account has been greatly collected so, I asked Tommy if I could withdraw some of it as so much had been collected and when I joined Mcvicar I was told that wouldn't be a problem. He said that as of last October 2024 contracts had been changed as their fees had been lost upon paying clients early. How is this the case when I paid their fee upfront? I have consulted with a solicitor who says they cannot withhold my funds as the money is mine. I have spoken to Tommy twice and emailed him a number of times and he has now stopped responding. I actually recommended my best friend to Mcvicar and she took out a contract with them over 12 months ago. After paying their fee she hasn't heard a word from them. It seems I will have to get my solicitor involved. I feel so very very let down.

Spoke with Tommy. He promised me if I payed the £550 I would have the CCJ removed off my credit file totally and not just as satisfied. This was so important to me as I’m due to remortgage where me and my 5 year old daughter live. After months I’m still waiting and rung the courts and they have told me it’s not even showing as payed! I’m having huge problems getting a lender to remortgage now so worse case scenario I could literally be homeless because of the implications of this. That tommy is genuinely the biggest lying scumbag I’ve ever met. Don’t trust a word he says because he’s the biggest con artist I’ve ever come across. Avoid this clown company be all costs

Does anyone who has used this service know how one manages to get the money they recover on your behalf back from McVicar?

Excellent service. Debbie has been helping me in my situation and is always there on the phone as and when. I’m going through dialysis and they are very understanding. Thank you so much
