I’ve waited a year and a half before writing this review just so I could be certain the paint I applied to the door and windows on the front of my house was still good enough to recommend to others. It still looks great. It takes quite some effort and patience to get the sheen but it’s well worth it. The instruction videos are a must watch though. So much better for the environment too.

I have bought a selection of products whilst getting all the wood in my garden ready for another winter.
Linseed tar oil for my decking , finally the 2 coats are done .It is a large decking but my only problem was not with the product.. but keeping my two small dogs from jumping on it . I am super-pleased with the way the decking is looking .
Balsam Turpentine, excellent for thinning and cleaning. A clean, pure product.
Linseed Hand Soap , as good as you have described it and a little goes a long way.
Exterior Paint no.38 Blackout , I used it to hilight the top of my barrel sauna and yes it takes a wee bit longer to cure in damp weather but I am very pleased with the result and I have a much bigger project in mind for next summer using it.
Exterior Paint no.31 Dark Iron Oxide , also used on sauna trims, again, great results.
Nourish Wood oil , my Barrel sauna is already heat-treated with the exception of the door. I did not want to actually change the colour of the door drastically , so I have been using this product to protect the wood from the elements. It is easy to use following the recommended instructions and I will continue to use it in other projects too.
So, all in all I am thoroughly pleased with these products. I bought them as I wanted to get away from the run-of-the-mill garden centre products such as outdoor paint which contains far too much plastic for my liking.

Great Product that I wished I'd discovered before.
As you probably know most oil based paints are banned, it's nice to see this one isn't.
Takes days to dry properly, but hopefully this will protect the wood a lot better than the stuff that just sits on the surface, then after a few years flakes off.
I purchased some linseed oil putty too, which I later found in B & Q at under half the price. Maybe the B & Q product isn't the same but I was still dissapointed. THE PAINT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY THOUGH.
Easy to clean off your hands with a little olive oil and kitchen roll.

All in all I'm very pleased.

Ordered Wednesday and arrived the following Monday. To my house in France!!
So much for Brexit.

This paint is amazing and preserves the wood painted onto, it also breaths and allows moister in and out of the wood. Outstanding!

Everyone who I have spoken to so far at Brouns has been really helpful. The Oakum I ordered arrived in just 2 days.
The paints are superb had I wished I had come across these before.
I have a listed house and barn and these linseed oil paints are ideal.

First time using this paint, so far experience has been excellent. Delivered next day, well packed and ready to go. The materials are excellent quality and the tester size paint was economical and easy to work with, opacity is great as long as you follow the YouTube instructions! I will be moving up to a full size order shortly,

This is the best paint I have ever used. It is much better than I expected.

The paint dries slower which allows you longer to work and get better finish.

It is thick and goes a long long way. It may be more expensive but it goes much further and works cheaper than other paints.

Fast delivery with well packaged goods allowed me to progress with my primer coat followed by first full coat.
Not having used linseed paint I appreciated the online videos, how do those without on-line access manage? Perhaps include written instruction sheets?
Pre-mixed primer coats might also be useful for those who want to keep things simple.
A FULL 24 hours+ should be given between coats, not a paint to be rushed.

Excellent paint great colour easy to apply. Arrived in good time. Linseed oil paint lasts for ages. My neighbours comment on my door as their’s peels after a year or two. I last painted it 5 years ago and rubbed on linseed oil to keep it fresh. I am only repainting as the wood has shrunk and holes needed filling

The products have been received within the timescale stated and have been well packaged. No damage on delivery.
