Order arrived promptly. The paint was easy to mix and had good coverage . Used in the autumn so drying took longer and not time to put all 3 coats on some areas. All areas seem to be repealing thx rain well and look so
much smarter than previously.

I was very interested to use Linseed paint having read about its preservative qualities. Brouns were very helpful and posted out any paint I ordered promptly. I was concerned that using the paint in my kennels, my dogs may enjoy the taste, so I painted a test board and left in in an accessible place, but the dogs’ lack of interest encouraged me to go ahead. I chose Moss green and I am exceptionally pleased with the results. Despite following the instructions I found the coverage per litre quite a bit lower and I’d say I had to buy twice as much paint as I’d anticipated which was rather expensive 😳 However, once I’d started I was committed. I have gone on to paint my stable doors with Moss green, including painting over a conventional paint which produced good results. This year I will work my way around the farm painting all the external doors - weather permitting!

Great products from Brouns! Whilst a little pricey what you get is real quality. The linseed paint has been a revelation - the water just runs off and it protects the wood at the same time. Excellent service and very fast delivery too.

Beautiful paint. What more can I say?

I have used Broun's exterior paint on a set of patio chairs and a greenhouse. Although linseed paint is generally quite expensive, it's long lasting and very easy to apply. The chairs I painted a couple of years ago still look great despite having no winter protection. This summer I painted my greenhouse and I expect the same to apply. Personally, I will always use linseed paint for exterior jobs in the future. Broun's give lots of informative videos on their website. The only thing that I would like as an option from Broun's, would be to have a specific colour sample rather than having to buy the expensive colour chart. Other than that, I'm really happy with my purchases from Brouns & Co.

If you’ve never tried using linseed oil paint - give it a go! It’s much superior to ‘traditional’ paint. There are some excellent introductory videos on the website that I recommend for new joiners to the linseed paint community!

Excellent service from Brouns , e mail's keep you informed how your order is going and the paint is an amazing product. I have used it for three years on my shed and summer house. Both are exposed to hot summer sunshine and salt laden sea winds and in the winter heavy rain and sometimes frost. There has been NO cracks or flaking of the paint. I am so pleased because this paint is a good protection to my wooden buildings. I am delighted with this paint. I highly recommend it!

I had to persuade our painter to use this paint. He had never used it so was apprehensive and believed it would take forever to dry which would delay the job. Brouns were very helpful with his queries on the phone and he ended up loving the paint. We are delighted with the finish and the performance in wet weather. Time will tell if it lasts longer than previous exterior woodwork paint...

The exterior paint is a joy to use. The primer first coat glides on effortlessly, but dries darker than the chart colour, as it is absorbed by the wood. Subsequent coats are true to the chart colour. Drying times are much longer than for conventional paints. The paint, although expensive, goes a really long way.
We had heavy rain 24 hours after painting the top coat. As advised, we didn’t touch it and let the rain evaporate. It didn’t mark.
Technical questions are answered helpfully, and it is always possible to get to speak to someone, and when they say that they will ring back, they do.

I can’t vouch for its longevity, but so far, I’m really impressed!

I've been using the exterior linseed paint for a couple of years now, using it on all the interior woodwork aswell as outside and I absolutely love it. It is easy to apply and the end result looks excellent. It is a slower process than using modern plastic paints, but be patient it will be worth the wait. If you follow the instructions on the website on how to use and apply their paint you won't go wrong....
